[Edit: dumb question]
heating up with uber beta20
ROM blisspop 250315 powered by kernel boeffla-zanezam beta20 uber.
Previously using boeffla-zanezam linaro493 beta20. Nothing wrong with the performance. smooth, battery friendly and surprisely temperature not going more than 38°c eventhough I on the heavy performance.
As for now I flashed uber mode beta20 and using for 6 hour, found that temperature went up 38-40°c. I don't know if this normal. But compared with current linaro performance can say that this reading not so good. Thanks for reading. *kernel powered by new boeffla configuration v2.
Hi @ZaneZam, hi all.
I've been trying flashing your Uber Boeffla kernel right after last Tomasek unofficial ROM but I've been stuck in bootloop city.
That happens with any of Uber Boeffla kernel version (u493 - u511 - u600).
My flow:
1) Format data
2) Wipe System, Dalvik and Internal Storage in ext4
3) Wipe Data and Cache in f2fs
4) Last CM 12.1 firmware update
5) Last katinatez Temasek unofficial ROM
6) Slim 5.1 zero Gapps
7) Boeffla Uber kernek
8) Reboot system
9) Bootloop City
What am I doing wrong?
Can you please help?
Thank you in advance

still can't imagine why using another toolchain should produce temp rising issues, but I also no that everything is possible with toolchains other then the stock one. fact is I never faced that with any custom toolchain build. but I'm also a pretty lean user, so I never stress my system that much. in short: can't say exactly what causes this . maybe one suggestion, try out other governors.

Oh that's bad, then something is special with temaseks rom. my references are always stock roms. so sry ditto cannot say what's wrong but one thing is for sure u did nothing wrong. tried also official builds from Lord boeffla?

Thanks @ZaneZam for the solution given above. As for now I stick with your u493 build with previous blisspop build till now. So far so good, and the important thing battery performance was superb eventhough sometime i not using boeffla configuration, but just using in-stock kernel adiutor and save zzmove as profile. Thumbs up.
BTW, I test few cycle with u600 before but the result not so good compared with u493. I not sure why, maybe the ROM itself using uber 4.x with sabermod kernel 4.x. Not sure if related. Have a good day.

Boeffla-kernel-4.0-beta15-CM12.1-bacon
Boeffla-kernel-4.0-beta15-CM12.1-bacon (u493) tested at blisspop ROM build 20150215-1013. The governor setting zzmove/yank battery auto revert to interactive/standard every time after on off boeffla configuration. Try to set profile and apply it, same thing happened.
Now after flash kernel-4.0-beta13zz, the problem seem gone. Going perfectly with default or profile set.
More info, I using latest Oneplus modem 15052015 by mohit.

i can't see which device u r using (i guess a opo?) so: they are old and u only "should" use them only on the Galaxy S3 as they were made for this device.
but u can of course try them one by one and see, but expect results in both directions good and bad @Lord Boeffla meanwhile suggest to not use them
as they are outdated, and actually not needed any more on a modern device.

This Kernel is only compatible with ROMS running on the VRALG1 Base!
Do not use this kernel on any base newer than that!
This Kernel is NOT compatible with the latest version of CleanROM!
Features
CPU Overclockable to 1.99 GHZ (vs 1.5GHZ stock).
CPU Underclockable to 192MHZ (vs 384MHZ stock).
The CPU comes clocked at normal Samsung specs of 384MHZ low and 1.5GHZ high. You will need an application like System Tuner or Set CPU to overlcock it. This can also be modified by advanced users in the init.rc but is not recommended or supported. See first two blocks of init.rc for details.
GPU Overclocked at 300/500 MHZ
Under-volted just a few milli-volts to help save battery.
There are no fancy governors or other such things. Its a modified stock kernel, plain and simple.
This kernel should be compatible with any VRAGL1 based ROM such as (of course) CleanROM and Nosympathy's stock rooted base. Good chance it will work well with Team Synergy's ROM too but I have not tested that ROM but its a VRALG1 Based ROM.
If your ROM has non Samsung Boot Animation you will more than likely loose it!
Its been said that flashing a kernel can cause IMIE loss. I have not seen it myself but I guess its possible.
This kernel will NOT work with any AOSP, AOKP, CM9, CM10, etc based ROMS! If the ROM is not a based on official Verizon VRAGL1 ROM then dont flash this kernel!
Instructions
Must have an UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER! No exceptions!
Should make a complete Nandroid back up before flashing!
Copy ROM to storage and flash
Use your favorite CPU controller app to set the speeds.
WARNING!
Overclocking can permanently ruin your device. I mean totally kill it! You accept this fact upon downloading the kernel and or source!
I cannot and will not take any responsibility for what this kernel does to your device!
Not all devices can maintain the same level of overclocking!
Just because the kernel can clock to 1.89 does not mean YOUR device can!
Be smart and start off low and bring upt the speed gradually just like O/C'ing a desktop CPU!
To return to what you had before this... Restore your Nandroid back up! You did make that back up, right?
Changes in this version
9/5/12 - Version 1.2
Added: O/C to 1.99
Possibly Fixed: O/C not OC'ing on some devices
Possibly Fixed: gsiff_daemon fix?
Added: Optimaztions to file system
THANKS!
Thanks to dsb9938 for helping me get my box set up and to sbryan12144 for schooling me on the edits to make. Without their help I would still be looking at an empty Ubuntu desktop wondering where to go!
This Kernel is only compatible with ROMS running on the VRALG1 Base!
Do not use this kernel on any base newer than that!
This Kernel is NOT compatible with the latest version of CleanROM!

Benchmarks dont matter! But your going to ask anyways so I already ran the three most popular benchmarks and the results are below. Your device and ROM set up may NOT acheive these benchmarks.
All testing was done on a fresh install of CleanROM 2.0 SP1 with no background sync 1.89GHZ and Ondemand governor.
These benchmarks are the best of 3 or 4 runs each. They didint vary too much from this except Linpack. That thing is all over the place.
Do not expect to get these scores!
Next your going to ask me how the battery life is. Being a new kernel it doesnt have as much metering under its belt so you I will need your input on what you see. Obvisouly if you clock it up high you will see a decrease in battery life. Let me know what you are seeing.

EDIT: But you do bring up a good point... I will post in the OP that you will loose custom boot ani's.
Nice work Scott, first kernel for the Verizon gs3 that under clocks the cpu!
Does it include a fast charge option??
Thanks again for your work! :good:

No fast charge. It only modifies the stock samsung speeds of CPU, GPU and Voltage.
No other changes.
CPU Underclock to 192MHZ may need some tweaking. But I am pretty sure I know what it is... Seems to stick more at 384 than 192.

I'm using CPU master and after clicking apply like 10 times it stuck at 192.
Guys keep in mind that by flashing a custom kernel you risk losing your IMEI number. This can happen at any time while running it, not just the act of flashing. It can be restored (even without a backup) but there's a good chance you'll be stuck in roaming afterwards. I've seen several people ask how to get out of roaming but they never receive concrete responses.
Several people have claimed this can only occur on AOSP roms/kernels, but this is false. I've heard reports of people losing IMEI on beans rom using imo's custom kernel.
Good job man

Nah, its sticking when you apply, but the thermald config may need some tweaking because it pushes it back up. So it doesnt seem like its sticking but its but then it gets overwritten.

I guess every one know PACman, it's CM+AOKP+PA. So same bugs, same features. I didn't added, removed, or modified, anything - just put the p720 device tree into the source (synced against latest repos) and built it. So all credits goes to the awesome CyanogenMod Team, and of course the folks from ParanoidAndroid and PACman.
And many thanks to the whole community, without XDA and the awesome tutorials this wouldn't be possible.
How to flash: Same like CM10. If I need to tell you this, you better don't flash
Not working: 3D Features of course
No Gapps included! Flash the usual jellybean pack, like found here –> Goo.im
Remark: Don't be to harsh, this is my first rom
Source: In case anyone want it, all "my" sources are on Github.
Kernel: https://github.com/mcdope/lge-kernel-omap4/tree/3.0-workingmerge#readme (Make sure you use the "3.0-workingmerge" branch, master compiles fine but wouldn't boot)
android_vendor_pac: https://github.com/mcdope/android_vendor_pac
r2 - First update!
Added (or better said removed from packaging removal) ParanoidPreferences
Added ParanoidWallpapers
Added LG ICS Bootanimation (sourced from androidbootanimation.com)
Newest jellybean sources from all upstream repos
Download Update #1 / r2 -> [obsolete]
r3 - Second update!
Removed Superuser + SuperSU, added koush's variant instead
Updated kernel from 3.0.21 to 3.0.39! Performance, and hopefully battery, improvements
Antutu Score: ~450 points increase
Quadrant Score: ~300 points increase
Note: benchmarks got done @ 1200 Mhz and performance scheduler, but kernel defaults to 1000Mhz and interactive! You can adjust this in the usual places...
Again synced with latest upstream sources, but no real changes there...
Download Update #2 / r3 -> p720_PAC_JB_4.1.2-v19.3.0_r3-final.zip - 140.54 MB
NOTE: I've stopped all work on this ROM, since I got annoyed from not getting CM10.1 to boot and the loosy battery performance of the 3D Max. So my 3D Max went to the pocket of my wife and I switched to a more developer friendly device - Xperia Z. I'll still answer questions here (no PMs please - esp. if you disabled recieving them ), but no updates anymore for sure. There wouldn't be real changes anyway...
ANOTHER NOTE, THREE YEARS LATER: This ROM is still dead - nothing changed from the infos in this thread. There is NO need to ask me questions about it by PM. Which, on another note, sucks anyway - questions belong in the thread! Even if I wanted to answer them, I couldn't - see, it's ridiculous there is even a need to tell so, I haven't used it for 3 years now... Also I recommend to stay away from this device as far as you can - it just sucks.
Thanks for the rom. Gotta love the PAC. Which CM10 built did you use?

Its compiled from latest jellybean branch, so its CM10.
There is currently no CM10.1 device tree for our p720, but i will try to get a working 10.1 compile, but that wont be as easy as this so dont expect much. Like written, im totally new to Android builds xD

I don't know why to be honest. But as far as i know (which isn't very far in this case ) Android (or the kernel) reserves some for himself which is subtracted from the shown RAM

If you're asking if 3D is working, see OP - or the post right in front of yours . About kernel: it's based on the CM10 omap4-common kernel, but patched. For details about the changes see my Github log. What do you mean with out date?

Even if I had problems with it, the cool thing about GPL code is that it wouldn't matter But no, i've got no problem with it - go ahead and pimp the hell out of it.
But be careful if you use "my" kernel, and/or device tree. The github for both has a bunch of commits that never went into this rom. This is because of many tries to get CM10.1 based code booting (getting it to compile was easy, but hangs on bootscreen forever - i gave up on it). If you wanna fiddle with it, and get problems, i'll try to help you. But i don't have the Max anymore for testing...
I've got annoyed from not getting CM10.1 to work and the absolutly crappy battery life. So i would be perfectly fine if you "overtake" it. (Got myself a yuga / Xperia Z and dumped the LG to my wife - thanks to a tax payback )

Thanks for your fast answer man!
Just one tip I promise that I don´t bother you anymore.
By now I was messing with copying files from one rom to another, some configurations, but I couldn´t understand for example why some apps don´t run in JellyBean ? Like the 3D ones and a non-3D like Polaris Office and Radio FM, its because of the framework or the lib ? or both ?
call echo problem ?

Does your kernel include kexec hardboot patch?

First off, thanks for making a kernel with that feature. I certainly enjoy fooling with MultiROM and that's a requirement for the host ROM.
At the same time, I don't know that the kernel posted is successful. I flashed the CodeCraft-M8_PH-kexec-hardboot.zip posted in the OP on my device running Santod's latest NuSense build. Using the MultiROM Manager, it states that the kernel does not have the kexec-hardboot patch.
I can't say I have high proficiency with MultiROM or what this specific kernel feature is otherwise, so let me know if there is a specific log that it would be useful for me to attach. I wasn't sure if a logcat would say much in this instance.

Okay so that one was my bad . Its in the code just wasn't initialized in the config. I have a new one cooking right now. If its not to much trouble, can you flash it to check if the problem persist?
Happy to. Watching for the new posting. Thank you for your efforts to the community.

All set, same name new zip
Still no luck. I installed the kernel once with Flashify and a second time just from recovery to be sure. In both cases, I receive the message that the kernel doesn't have the kexec-hardboot patch.

Not sure what is up with the download counter, but yes, I've tried that copy as well. Screenshot is attached of the feedback I get from the MultiROM Manager program (and yes, I know I didn't install the main MultiROM file yet. This still works for detecting kernel ability, or it has in previous builds). Please let me know if there is any other log source I can provide.
Well I got it working and new zip is uploaded
@Evolutionmods what's setting should I have to advoid reboots when running antutu?

WELCOME TO ELITE KERNELS!
Our main goal behind building these kernels is to create a setup that gives a balance between performance and battery life without straying too far from stock. We like to have our cake and eat it too. Our kernels include performance, memory, and scheduling tweaks that enables your phone to come to the party when you are hammering down on it and need performance ASAP, and to go to sleep faster than a basset hound on a warm summer day. We put these kernels together mainly for our own use; so what we release is what we personally use. We hope you enjoy them too!

What is enabled by default? We like to control our kernels with a script run at boot for defaults, although any kernel app can control the built in settings. Here is what we set as default upon boot:
Sweep left 2 sleep
Doubletap 2 wake
CFQ IO scheduler with 1536 read ahead
If you want to change anything you can open up /system/elite/Elite.sh and save and execute (or use your favorite control app). Current method for N Preview has script in /system/su.d/Elite.sh

Flashed it on latest PureNexus without problems. Its running great!
for now it is good kernel, i make test in the future days
Curious to know how this stacks up against other popular bullhead kernels.
Hello fellow Redmi Note 4 users,
I'm slightly happy to present to you an experimental kernel for our SNAPDORAGON devices. This is a personal project based on my ideas and preference about what a kernel needs and does not need. But, I thought I'd share this out with the rest of you all since I'm happy with the performance of this one and figured I might as well contribute to a great phone.
Also, please bear with my future sluggish updates and lack of fixes as I'm very new to kernel stuff. (My knowledge comes from Google-Fu).
Moving on with the disclaimer:
I am not responsible for any intent AND attempt to suck compensation out of me whether by your own actions or mine (unlikely since I test my **** first). The disclaimer meme in Eks Dee Ayy is done to death so I'll spare you the cringe. You have been warned.
My sources are public and free for all to use, if you feel you can do it better than me then please do.
So what makes this kernel different from others? Nothing, I just took commits and merged the working ones.
I believe that minimal interference is good, a good device does not need 1001 "options" to choose from for best battery life + performance. Following Franco's footsteps, I just made necessary patches + features that I feel is important for the device and development.
Changelog:
Built with GCC 6.3 Toolchain (A53 targeted)
TCP default set to Westwood
CPU boost modifications
F2FS stuff
Adreno idler
Power suspend driver
KCAL colour control driver
Anything else please just read the source's commits, provided you understand half the stuff they talk about.
Download link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=20964#downloads
This has been tested on:
The latest build of AEX.
Things I won't add:
Overclock (Yes smoking makes you feel good but it harms your health so why bother? Same goes for OC)
Governors (Unless I see good documentation, Interactive and its tweaks works perfectly)
Hotplugs (Right now the default is fine, I'll see if i can find more updated ones that improves on it)
Schedulers (See Hotplugs)

I'll probably make a simple version for stock MIUI (I like it a lot too) but I can't promise anything since it'll take time.

Well just realised I thanked earlier on but I just wanted to emphasize the thanks so here i am
Happy to see a custom kernel for our device. Some devs first start building kernels to the phone's stock Android version, then they go to its latest. But you really are fast. +1 for your contribution to this device

Please try to add fast charge support!!thats the only feature missing on our mido?

It is not recommended to use fast charge on Mido because the hardware is not ready for it. Even though the snapdragon 625 does support it the charging port and motherboard are going to be harmed in the long run.
