Running stock 44s with Franco kernel and whenever I go to record video from camera app it initiates and then stops immediately? I did a Google search and an xda search and could not find anything.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Restored back to before I flashed franco kernel and smooth scrolling mod. Now recording works?
I was pretty sure I flashed the correct kernel but maybe I messed up.

I seem to be having the same issue but I don't have a 44S Kernel to flash back to. Any idea where I can get a flashable zip for that?

Franco r32 causes video recording not to work, use r31 for the time being. Franco is already aware of this.

I want a stable rom and kernel. The camera should be able to take 8MB pics and capture 1080p video. If possible I want JB or ICS.
please help. I have been seeking for rom and kernel for a long time. The developers does not give understandable specs like openly for me...

official CM 7.2 is my recommendation.
ICS and JB are not fully working and since you want a stable one I'd stay away from those.
Alright then I guess I need to tell like '' the most stable ROM and Kernel among the JB and ICS. Guys please help me! Camera should work 1080p

The only way that will work is on Adampk's and Mazout360's CM10.1 Rom Build 7 which is the only rom that has full HWA to make the camera work properly. Downside is that the Radio (Cellular Network) will NOT work. This means no calls, SMS, data, etc. Anything to do with your Mobile Network will not work.

If you want stable and fast then I highly recommended Singh-ui.

for example what do you use ?
I use Hellfire with faux kernal and I haven't had any problems. The ONLY downside is the battery indicator that comes with it, its kind of annoying

can it capture 1080p and is it gb 2.3.7 or what ? also I have kamasha 4.1.1 with stock kernel (which comes with the rom) I guess it is cm 9 so I can hopefully use harsh kernel right ?

You're using the faux DS kernel. Use his regular CM one.

If you have problems with Faux kernels try Trinitys. I could never get Faux's kernels to play nice with my phone and while they ran smoother the random reboots, black screens and having to keep phone from sleeping just killed it for me.
This was oh stock voltage as well.

guys I think the best rom is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420972 that one for me! At least the developer tells the specs of the rom clearly... I just did not understand how to install v6supercharger, it seems hard to do.
I currently have KashaMalaga (jb 4.1.1.) with harsh kernel 1.4 GHZ everything's looking pretty stable except camera ( no 1080p ) well I'll go with that for a while than maybe install above rom and hopefully v6supercharger
I installed Hellfire cm7 GB 2.3.7. with v6 supercharger. All fine but screen sensitivity is really low.

I'm using CM7.2 stable with Wolfscript and Harsh kernel and my phone is flying! Very stable and very fast (after Wolf script), though battery life has taken a hit after running the script. My next flash will be Mazout360's dual-boot CM10.1 unofficial with a GB ROM as my daily (still haven't decided which - they're all so good! )

Is there a stock kernel with just the knock-on to wake the device up ability?
Thanks
Hi, I'm not sure if you know about the touch control app that bponury has made? Is that the functionality you have in mind?
I'm using it with franco 14 but if I understand his post correctly, bponury said it's supposed to work with the stock kernel.

"It is made to work on stock kernel."
and on the playstore
"==== PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH CUSTOM KERNEL ===="
and Im just reading that it doesnt work on stock kernel.
Ill try it with franco.
What about battery? thanks
double post sorry
So, I got my phone on Christmas and on both DroidKang and Beanstalk Linaro I've had issues with the CPU frequency sticking to even the stock frequencies. I've tried many kernels and I get the same problem. I'm currently on the official BeanStalk build and there are no problems with stock kernel or Chaos. I'm assuming this is not the intended behavior?

Edit: Nope, same issues. I clean flashed Droid Kang and max and min are both at 1.5 but I can change the max, the min won't stick no matter what.

You will lose your data when you unlock your bootloader. If you have already done this, then you can safely flash Franco kernel without wiping your data.

And yes, it is very compatible with ART. Been running it since day 1, very smooth performance by Franco.
You can look in the Franco's FAQ thread as well as the Franco kernel thread for all the answers that you have asked. I am on the xda app so I can't get you the URL but it shouldn't be hard to find.

What's the procedure to switching kernels?
I am currently using code blue and I want to switch to Franco.
Do I do a factory reset and then flash the kernel?
I am running lpx13d

Not necessary to factory reset or wipe. Simply dirty flash your Rom (or if stock, system.img & boot.img) then flash Franco kernel. Done! That easy [emoji106]

help
Im new in this things and i need some help. I have installed by fastboot the r65 and i see that you have r66, how can i put r66? I have to put stock kernel?
FK vibration is now 63 instead of 100, right?
I just installed it on my 5.0 preview rom. and according to the FKU app my vibration is 63 (I'm not rooted by the way).
However, i can't see a rollback from 100 to 63 at the changelog. That's why I am asking this.

Just flash it. That's it. It is an update. Kernel updates can always just be flashed right over each other . It's when you change kernel "brands" that you need to go back to the stock boot.img/ system.img first to avoid problems.

63 is Google's stock setting.
FK
Im new to FK and the nex5 so i just thought i would ask those that have been using this for a bit.. If coming from another custom kernel do i need to flash rom again than FK? Also.. Ehat settings have you found to be the most battery friendly?
Thanks and im loving all the wonderful development in this forum!
What ROM are you on? If it's sn AOSP-based ROM you should be good. The kernel won't work on any ROMs derived from Cyanogenmod. That's really the only caveat.
As far as settings I leave them at their default. The only thing I may change is undervolt by -25 on all frequencies but that's really it. The kernel as a whole includes changes primarily for battery friendliness so anything else isn't worth the effort to experiment with.
Besides, I think Franco sets some variables to suggested values anyways.

Just flash stock using the 5.0 factory image from Google.
faux sound
Can you please add fauxsound support?
Can we flash r67 on stock factory image from yesterday? Where there any kernel changes? Or Franco has to implement the changes first? Tia

Is the Miscellaneous WiFi bug present after you flash the kernel?
..
68 not
I guess the first thing would of been to backup 67 before installing 68. Especially if you had just downloaded LRX21O.
All the best,
