What font is used bro? And how are you getting the network speed indicator on top but in middle? Are you using an xposed mod for it?

Really cool. Really digging the 4g toggle and font. Would you be able to let us know how can we get it?

Its quite tough if u don't have any experience. Ask a developer to help u
i don't think it's even possible with android 2.3.
It's perfectly possible with ics. Paranoidandroid supports tablet mode very well.
It is possible but don't Know which file should I edit...

What do you mean developer edition? Like, what constitutes one?

I meant the official developer edition M8, without Verizon bloatware and it gets the fastest software updates directly from HTC.
Like my At&t M7 converted to Developer Edition received kitkat update 1 month before At&t released it.
I always thought if you had a carrier specific phone, you needed to receive any update through that specific carrier.

Don't use the gpe ruu method. Gsm folks are still trying to figure out how to get the system partition back to normal size after using that. Just run a gpe Rom.
Sent from my HTC6600LVW using Tapatalk
I'm not talking about converting to gpe, I'm asking if its possible to convert to developer edition, i like sense ui. I don't like Verizon bloatware. And updates from htc have to go through verizon before they are released. So it takes longer.

IF there is a way, I haven't heard of one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the only difference between the developer edition and the normal One is the unlocked bootloader. Outside of that, everything else is identical. The only software differences are between the VZW models and the GPE model. So to convert your phone to a developer edition, you would need to unlock the bootloader and that's really it.
The easy answer to this question is no. There is not a CDMA version of the Developer Edition HTC One M8. This is the same reason why there is no GPE conversion available.
My advice would be to just to unlock and run a Sense ROM. These will have most if not all bloat removed in addition to some nice customization options

How do I disable the Non Verizon Sim error message on my M8? freezing of setup doesn't seem to work.

If I load a Rom that is for gsm version of m8 on my Verizon m8, will it work and disable the unknown SIM notification?
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using XDA Free mobile app
I flashed arhd 8.1 and now my phone works much better, unknown SIM message is gone, I have extreme power saving mode, Harman Kardon and most important it works in my gsm network lte aws band with no issues at all.

Solved
Sorry,
I created the thread and forgot to update it when I solved the issue.
All I did is install a custom ROM and specified the international variant then flashed the stock kernel. Everything works fine on all ROMS

You have a verizon phone right? S-off, latest firmware? If so, flash any other ROM that is meant for the International M8 then look for the corresponding kernel.
I'm on Android Revolution 21.0. If you can download that, I'll share the latest kernel with you. You must be on the latest firmware though!

Anyone had luck recently with this on Lollipop? Can't seem to get rid of it. Changing the APNs xml file doesn't do a thing. I'm using a mostly stock ROM.

Awesome, that's exactly it.
Once it's changed to my Vodafone SIM, will it need to be changed back once I put the VZW sim back in? Curious. Not a huge deal, but I've not had this problem w/ earlier ROMs.

Yes, you'd have to change it back. Cool thing is that it gives you the correct data icons.

I have a htc m8 verizon. I bought it from ebay. The guy said he had it workin on t-mobile. Im living in guyana located in south america. Im not getting any service connection. The phone is rooted, s-off and the bootloader has been unlocked. Is there any way i can get gsm connection with this phone ? Presently im not getting the option to use gsm when im in global mode. in my country we use 2g bands GSM 900
Factory reset your phone. It should work.I had same problem, the only difference is that my phone is not rooted and s on
Hi E8 users! I hope you can help me identify my model and how to fix it. But I don't know how to troubleshoot since im knew to android (came from ios). The problem is I know that there are some missing like blinkfeed in my os. Tried to reset/restore but still missing. I foundout also that i cant go to fastboot menu (power + volume down). Also no fastboot setting in setting>battery. See my version in attached screenshot.

Dude use this RUU to restore to stock if that's what you want. You seem to be on a custom build at the moment. From what your screenshot tells us you have M8sw on a custom build ROM. Did you flash it with anything?

Im glad someone replied. I will download and follow your advice. I bought the phone 2nd hand and i don't know the history. Can i flash ruu even my boatloader is locked? By the way when i tried to go to recovery (power + volume up) i got the recovery with a android lying down with a text "no command". Is that ok?
Sent from my HTC M8Sw using XDA Free mobile app
As long as you bought this phone in China and know it to be a China dual GSM SIM, the RUU should work for you and you should be good. But remember that if you had it unlocked by anyone or anything, that will go away.
This is my first HTC device and I haven't flashed RUU since HTC Desire, so you will need to Google around a little.
Just a lil weird, as per my research M8sw model should be dual sim but mine is single sim. Btw, i attach the photo of my recovery

No. I bkught it 2nd hand and i dont know the history. (My stupidness) i think i bought a fake one :banghead:

And another thing i discovered, it's a micro sim not nano sim. Im really stupid that i never checked this should be a lesson to me and everyone

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Because no custom basebands are out for E8 yet.
Wow.. You really get fake phones there? Can you share pictures?
I am doing everything I can to try and install the update for lollipop, but nothing I try works and none of the stock roms want to flash. I don't know what's wrong and I'm just trying to get this device back to it's factory settings. Please someone help, I'm sick of kitkat and I'm really getting sick of this useless phone....
what is your cid/mid ?
I rooted my HTC one E8 dual SIM India a week ago and yesterday I got security update (stagefright) , I'm looking for ways to flash OTA without losing root access, I tried 'flashify' app, but I think I'm doing it wrong.
And if it's not possible to do it without losing root, I'd root again but where can I find stock recovery for my E8?
Current software number:- 2.33.720.4
