[Completed] [Q] Can't uncheck F. Reset Time in Odin 3.07 - XDA Assist

I'm in the process of following root instructions for t-mobile Note 4 (sm-910t) posted by TEKHD. His Odin screen shot shows only "Auto Reboot" option checked. When I fire up Odin both Auto Reboot AND F. Reset Time options are checked and I can't uncheck the latter. Will this have an adverse affect on the root process? Any help much appreciated.

Hi,
I'm not sure exactly which thread you are referring to, but that would be the place to ask this question.
And basically, if the instructions say to do something, we do it. ?
Good luck!

But please ask in the thread first if you're concerned.

Thank you. Thread closed.

Hi I have had a Duke in Asia for about 6 months fully rooted running 3.2, so it is possible. I have attached all files and instructions in a word document to allow this to happen, but it is as always at your own risk. Please refer to the Euro version under "Tablet PC Duke Root" discussion forum for other queries
Thanks to Krtonsrx8 who supplied the boot image from "Tablet PC Duke" from Europe I have updated the install files to make the installation simpler for the Europeans. I have also modded the boot file from Europe so now there are separate processes for the Asian "Prolink TA8 Tablet" (mine) and the Europe tablet mentioned in this discussion.

[Q] Error message ZipThemer

Hello all xda community.
I want to ask help from people about my problem.
Ok first, i try to follow jammasterclay.webs.com/step2 regarding multiwindows cascade in note 10.1
when i try using zipthemer then try to configure the step, i get error from zipthemer that "failed to find system mount/umount commands in updater-script". So i hope help from the community regarding the problem. I dont have any idea. I try searching with google also not get the answer.
i get the same message. i used the latest supersu version.
i pm'ed JamMasterClay and i hope he will reply to us
The issue is that chainfire changed how the SuperSU instillation method works. I'm sure it's still possible to make the ZipThemer method work, but I am investigating newer methods such that ZipThemer won't need to be used at all, you will simply have to flash the zip in recovery, regardless of ROM.
I'm currently in the middle of having to re-install Windows and set up my computer again, so bear with me - it might be a few days. I'll try to have something soon though.
Update: The new method works. I'm going to put everything together and will update the original thread. I'll let you guys know when that's done.

I updated my thread with new steps. Follow the steps found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136313 and everything should work perfectly. Let me know if you have any problems.
working great! thank you!

[Completed] [Q] Help with Nexus 7 2012!

So I had my n7 rooted and rom'd, but then i had to go back to stock, to return it to the sc for fixing my speaker- at least that's what i wanted.
I tried going back to stock using the nexus root toolkit, and using fastboot.
Always, i get one error or the other- sometimes it gets stuck on sending system, sometimes it just says everything failed, or 'failed to allocate so and so bytes'
Now I am thinking of flashing a custom recovery again, and then flashing stock. Is it really as simple as using a fastboot command to do so?
Or is there something else I need to do?
Thank you.
Hi,
Here's a guide on returning to stock...
Nexus 7 > Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [GUIDE] Flashing a Factory Image with fastboot / return to stock
You can ask for help there as well. Do try another cable and another USB port on computer. Or even another computer if you can.
Good luck!

Thank you for your reply
But the thing is, i followed those and always ended up in trouble.
Right now, I dont have any rom installed, and my tablet won't boot into recovery so i know it doesn't have recovery either.
At this point, i need to know if i can just flash a custom recovery and then install stock.

Yes, you can find a stock rom, or whatever rom and try to install it.
Tho, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to flash stock. A bad cable or USB port is usually the issue.
Here is the link to the N7 2012 section. Depending on whether you have the WiFi or 3g model... Roms can be found in the appropriate development sections.
Nexus 7
I still believe you should troubleshoot the flashing issue in the first thread I linked, by asking for help.
Otherwise, any further questions or issues.. Please use the N7 Q&A section to post your issue/question.

And most roms are not 100 percent stock. So unless you use fastboot as the guide I linked details... You won't be 100 percent stock.
I'm sorry to bother again, but nothing is working- still.
I tried using TWRP but not even wiping works, and it says 'cannot mount /data' all the time.
Still no success with fastboot, always gets stuck when i flash system.
Unfortunately this is not the thread for support or troubleshooting. Please see why here...
The Purpose of XDA Assist
I gave you the link to the N7 section. The Q&A section is where to ask for further help. ?
Good luck again!

[Completed] [Q] No Command Error with ROM

Okay, so I am new to all of this (sorta) and I don't know what is happening. So I have my Galaxy s5 (900V) rooted on version 4.4.4 ( thread to how I rooted my phone {including all files and kernals used: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/safely-upgrade-root-4-4-4-nha-volte-t2879348}) and when I use ROM Installer to try and install a rom, no matter what rom it is, it always goes into the recovery boot and says, "Installing Updates" and then goes to "No command" and it forces me to reboot my phone, then says "error" and restarts. I want to install the Carbon ROM but it just wont let me. Please halp :/
Hi,
I'm not sure what "rom installer" is, but I suggest you read the flashing instructions in the rom thread you are trying and follow them exactly. And if you have issues, Asking in the rom thread is the best option.
Good luck!
Could you send me a link to that page? And ROM installer is just a basic installer for ROMs. It automatically does it for you. It might just be the app but, I've used multiple apps.. Please link me though
You must know where the rom threads are if you've already tried them?? Read the first posts for flashing instructions. I can't pick a particular rom for you, that's up to you. ?
---------- Post added at 07:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:51 AM ----------
Here is the section for your device. Roms can be found in the development sections. Be sure you choose ones made for your exact model number.

Further questions about your device can be asked in the Q&A section.

Help with firmware update

Hi guys, Just got my mate 7 and love it BUT, I'm on Vodafone Australia and they are having issues with updates. I'm stuck on 127SP02 with no available updates. I have downloaded both firmware updates from Huawei but when reading the attached doc, it says something about the update file and a vendor file. Obviously I have no vendor file so will i do any damage by running the firmware upgrade on its own? Will do the 4.2.2 update , then the lollipop one.
Thanks
ok, I tried to run the update to B148 which apparently should be fine with my B127. However, it fails to complete the install. Any help greatly appreciated.
software starts to install then says:
software install failed!
Also tried to update to B137 first, this also fails to install. Any advice greatly appreciated guys and gals as I appear to be stuck with B127 otherwise.
Thanks
I upgraded from B145>B148 and now can't root, or flash downgrade. Was rooted on B137 adn B145 with B145 being smoothest as far as KK goes. Not thinking to go LP since there's so many complaints about features missing certain functions or being completely removed; and anyways...it won't upgrade LP.
As far as B148 is, I'm stuck on stock. No root available witing KingRoot, Kingo, Vroot...if I find a solution, I'll be sure to pass it along.
I've actually been able to flash back to 145, but I was also able to upgrade to LP, I'm trying the latest 5.1.1 B327 for now and it's actually been quite good so far.
It seems you need to go 137SP02 first and then move up sequentially... have a look at the link below; it shows the available firmwares in upgrades with ota in sequence.
Just make sure the C**B** is the same as what you're on now (eg., C00B127SP02>C00B137SP02>and so on), don't be on C00 and flash C900 without properly sequencing your upgrades or you might soft-brick and boot loop.
