Like title, is possible to block ads in Nexus 5? I try AdAway and it didn't work..
Ad away works here just fine. Blocking ads in apps and websites. Make sure that you're using the 2.8 Version. It may have a error on the first time you apply it but do it again and the problem will go away.

It's not working. It may need to be updated, but i'm not seeing anything mentioned on their forum or blog yet.
I keep getting stuck on it when it tries to apply the host files. Not sure what the issue is.
Edit: Got it to work now. Preciate' the tips previously posted.

Working here
Mother of all AD Blocking
I have been using the "Mother of all AD Blocking" from here and have been very satisfied. AFAIK it only modifies the hosts file and doesn't have any process running that uses battery.
It's got a web server running... Has to be using some battery.

This is misleading at best. AdAway does have a service, but it's disabled by default and not required at all.
Do anybody got ad blocker and Xpose installer to work? And if where are the files?
It won't work without write access to system. There isn't proper root available for this phone yet

I do have the mate 9 in moonlight silver US version. I just recently unrooted with SuperSu and flashed stock recovery due to not having proper root so we can write to system. I also have a one+ 3t because I do enjoy flashing Roms and kernels, so I have to mate 9 put away until we can do such.

I'm with you bro. Almost shelved my Note 4 which is like the device that will never die with great devs, but the Mate 9, even with partial root to at least use Titanium gets me by with Nova and a few other added apps. (It One 3T is a non-sloucher I can see being a prime device to work and play). I have to admit it is the first phone I have used as a daily without real root since Android 3.x.

It is a great device but I've been rooting and modding since the first T-Mobile G1. I tried to go at it just as is but the itch just got me back. Lol. I'm keeping a close eye on the mate 9 forums like everyday checking to see about progress. If we could get AOSP on this beast I'd be too happy.

Way cool. And the superuser.zip is the item mentioned in the OP, or did you find a way to substitute? I think our biggest hang up was the encrypted partition along with the access controls are the file level (but I'm a big novice on the dev type work.)

Chrome will only block ads that are known to be intrusive. They will not block all ads. So it's way better to use the host file.

No broooo, u r extremely mistaken about adguard... Im using it from past 4 years...
It block ads from every apps and allow users to block the internet permissionto specific apps to protect your privacy...
##Im always sending reports to them about new ads comes with installed apps... And they are blocking it ontime##
""" But u need to PURCHASE the app """" otherwise its only block specific browsers...
If u dont like to pay, simply download the cracked adguard app from TRUSTED source and use it... im damn sure U ll feel the difference....
Ah, so we need to purchase adguard to get it's full capabilities

No the theme will stay but the problem is you won't be able to change themes unless your rooted or you can use a PC just after rebooting.

Swift black. It works great and is updated often. It does cost money though. To apply it works just like rooted phones but we have to connect with a computer first via Andromeda.

Can't guarantee it, plus I don't support piracy. I'd go with the play store. There are free Oreo themes. Just have to search them out on the play store. Read theme descriptions.

I'm not sure how to phrase this, because I tried my best to look up similar questions and I couldn't.
In simple terms, can you guys tell me why an apk from One Plus wouldn't install on my Samsung phone? And is there a work-around to fix this issue?
Thanks.
Some apk requires firmware related features. Some needs to be installed as system file.
It'll help a lot to know what you are porting over.

First, compare the original app of its compatible with the version of Android ln your samsung s9 lineage os. If it's not compatible, then no.
Next check what is the properties granted to the app on oneplus. Grant the same permission. It might even need to be flashed in from custom recovery.
Next, check for required packages that the app is using. Try to port them over as well.
Tbh, why don't you just use a third party app to screen record.
