Tilt 2 keyboard/messaging bug

My new att tilt 2 frequently freezes when sliding out the keyboard while in a text message (to reply). I click on the message then slide out my keyboard while the page is coming up. screen keyboard starts to come up and the text window adjusts as its supposed to but then it freezes with an place to enter text on the bottom and middle of the screen. the only way to fix it is to pull out the battery. I am guessing this is a sw keyboard problem. Any ideas? Is it possible to disable the sw keyboard autodeploy in landscape mode?

I have the same problem.. and I text so much.. so its a pain.. i have to reset it like 3 times a day...

Exactly. Maybe we should try disabling autodeploy for the sw keyboard...but i love my new on screen keyboard...

has anyone found a fix for this?

[Q] Multi-language keyboard auto-switching bug?

Hi everyone
I first dismissed this error as another manifestation of the N1's touch screen drawbacks; but since I owned the Nexus S, the same error reappears, and it’s driving me nuts:
All signs point to the fault being caused by the Gingerbread keyboard. This is how you reproduce it:
1) Use more than one keyboard layout / input language
2) Type anything, switch to the first symbols keyboard
3) Hit any key from the symbols keyboard, and afterwards, directly the space bar
4) The keyboard switches back to letter mode, all good up to now
5) Hit the symbols button again
6) The input language automagically changes to the adjacent one, the keyboard switches back to ABC mode
Suffice to say, this is quite an annoyance. There’s a workaround, though: this doesn’t happen if you hit the ABC key before hitting space, but that’s not how I expect my keyboard to work.
Is anyone else able to reproduce this issue, and if yes, does anyone know how to fix this? Unfortunately, extensive research throughout last week didn’t bring back any usable results.

this happens also on my Nexus S...really disappointing (
I played around in the Keyboard settings but couldn't find a way to fix this (unless you remove multiple languages....but that's not the point :S).

[Q] Shortcut keys on dock stop working

After the last firmware update, I've noticed that occasionally, my shortcut keys on the top row of the keyboard dock will stop working. It seems to happen most often when the TF is sitting overnight and then in the morning when I try to adjust brightness or open the browser using the shortcuts, they won't respond. The rest of the keyboard operates normally, with the exception of the top row.
In order to get the top row working again, I have to reboot.
Has anyone else experienced this?

My shortcut keys have worked every time for mine on all 3 firmware versions up to .13

I never had this happen on .12, but this happens regularly with .13 for me.

This also happens to me on .13, the Audio and music keys still work but Wifi through Settings keys stop working until a reboot.

How about the touch pad?
Not to hijack this thread but lately I have experienced that my touch pad is not working after I close the transformer. A reboot rectifies the issue but it's annoying. Do you think this is a related problem?

Will your trackpad shortcut key turn the trackpad back on when this happens?

Nope but the on-screen display works; all special shortcut keys actually work. It's only the touch pad that won't cooperate. It seems to happen whenever the screen goes to sleep
I am surprised by this problem. I've been using the dock for weeks now without trouble. I installed PRIME 1.3 when it was released and never had trouble with anything. Is it possible that an app can cause this disruption?

Keyboard Issue

I'm experiencing some keyboard problems with my HTC One S. The problem occurs when im typing and make a mistake, when i press the backspace key several times it stops working. The handset is literally brand new I've had it for only 3 weeks. Can someone help?

Using the stock sense keyboard? Is the problem persistent with other keyboard?

Anyone experienced keyboard lag for letters down(space, b, n, m) in the screen?

I am experiencing lot of touch registration misses while typing, specially for spacebar and letters like 'n' and 'm', which are at the bottom part of screen, tried both Gboard and Swiftkey to verify if it is a keyboard related issue. Also issue is less present when in landscape mode.
