[Q] damaged Digitizer, need help with USB Debugging - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently dropped my Samsung Galaxy s5 and now my screen has a very tiny crack on the screen. I still receive texts and phone calls but the screen is completely black and unresponsive. all I need to do is find a way to enable USB Debugging to retrieve my data.. I've looked into getting an OTG with HDMI adapter but the one I received didn't work, so I've been trying to look into alternate ways. I'm not a developer, I've been doing research but I don't have enough knowledge about this. if anyone could help me step by step with this, I would be more than happy to compensate (financially) if its successful. send me a reply or a direct message. thank you!

[Q] black screen...

I've had issues with charging port and the USB notification popping up, I was told how to fix that, but anyways this is the second time and second infuse were I have had issues with the charging port/USB pop up and the screen not turning on, any help in figuring how to fix this, I'm already out of claiming insurance. Thanks for the help!
If anyone can help with a description of how to fix the charging port with a list of parts that would be great, I figure if I fix that problem it may help the screen also. Thanks

[Q] Nexus S not recognising charger?

My Nexus S was recently upgraded to 4.0.4 stock a month ago, and has been running perfectly without any problems. However tonight I've noticed that when I plug it in, it doesn't recognise that it's being charged (when the phone is on or off), whether this is on the lock screen, or how it used to display the lightning bolt over the battery. It just keeps telling me to connect my charger.
I have no idea why this has suddenly happened and am wondering if anyone else has had any similar issues, and how I could fix this?
Thanks
Clean the USB port?
Either the USB port has some dirt in it preventing the charger to make proper contact or you have faulty hardware. Doesn't seem anything related to the software since it doesn't recognize the charger when it's off.
stupid question.. have you tried a different charger?
Thanks for the quick replies. So last night I left it on charge and the battery fully charged however it still isn't telling me that it's actually charging unless I go to Settings>Battery to check there.
I tried using a different charger but no luck, and also using a USB cable to my laptop. Also it isn't showing me that I am able to transfer files via USB connection anymore.
I did clean the USB slot using compressed air and still no luck after that.
What I'll try now is a factory reset to see if that remotely helps anything.
Cheers
So I tried resetting the data etc. through the bootloader but still no luck Any ideas?
Thanks again,
Ok so it's gotten worse. When I power down, the phone hangs at the Power Off part, it vibrates to shut down then the phone freezes at that screen.
Ok I fixed it. It turns out that the micro usb tab inside of the phone tends to drop on the Nexus S, so I took a knife to gently lift up the tab and secure a better connection and every single problem has been solved.
Thanks to everyone for your quick responses, it's greatly appreciated.
Good to hear you got it sorted. I'll keep that trick in mind.
I've been trying to find the solution for this very problem for the past couple days.. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Worked perfectly.
Mine is doing the exact thing. Still charges though

Hi, I am having this exact problem, but before I do your trick, I just want to clarify:
by micro usb tab you mean the tiny tab inside the usb port of the Nexus S? Basically the tiny tab that goes inside the usb cable when you connect it?
Thanks!

[Q] I am done with it

I replaced the motherboard on my bricked tf300t. It boots and stops at the "Welcome" set up screen the reason is the touch doesn't work. I found out that I need defferent touch firmware. I've tried the usb doggle but I guess it doesn't get far enough into the OS to pick up the mouse. Any who I was gonna sell it on a auction site but I have no Idea how much to ask. Its a 16gb version, black, 2 chargers and a usb doggle, screen is in like new condition and so is the back. Any Idea's on how much to charge because I'm done mucking around with this thing. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Hey Mr. Mod if this is not supposed to be here please delete it and I'm sorry in advanced.

Samsung gt-p5113 Can't get ribbon to lock

I replaced my screen and now I can't get the ribbon on the board to lock in place. I push down and it wont go all the way back. I do not want to break it, but it seems as ir its not meant to go that way. I have watched several videos and it is supposed to go back it just won't. I did not disconnect the ribbon a friend did. I know that is part of my confusion had I done it myself I would not have to research how to connect and disconnect.
I need help please my device turns on but wont respond to touch.
Thank You:crying:

Digitizer fails after screen swap

This is now my 3rd attempt to find a solution to my problem. My first attempt went unanswered, and although my last attempt got a response, it didn't help me one bit. Unfortunately, I didn't gt a response to my folow up questions either. So, this is going to be a much shorter explanation of my issue. (Previous post has a detailed explanation).
I bought a LG K20 Plus brand new in May. I broke the screen and decided to just buy the same phone and put my logic board into. The problem is, when I did that, the digitizer fails to recognize any touches. Strangely, the digitizer, again, works while booted into TWRP recovery but fails again after normal reboot. I'm so frustrated. I got really excited when my previous post got a response. It was such a huge disappointment to realize that I wasn't going to get the help that would lead to fixing my phone. After over a month and, at this point, my hope was non existent, I decided to just seperate the glass from the lcd and then put the glass on my broken phone. But in looking at it again, I don't see what difference the display makes. I really dont want to risk breaking another didplay. I don't know, it's apparent that I just don't get it. So, here i am again, asking for help. Will someone please tell me what I'm missing. Also, if you have advice please list more then a one sentence solution. I'll need some direction.
NOTE: I'm currently using a mouse via OTG cable and cannot change USB connection from "charge only" to mtp. So connecting to a PC isn't possible for more then charging.
Boot into fastboot and unlock the bootloader. Probably won't help, but why the hell not, right?
