As it seems that Nexus Players have started shipping, has anyone gotten their $20 Google Play Credit email yet? Although I have received the "your item has shipped email" I have yet to receive the email on the Google Play Credit.
Nothing yet and I got my players today.

I received my code and it appears in my google wallet. I am trying to buy the gamepad but the credit is not coming up as a payment method. Can I use it towards the gamepad?

Nope. It's a Google Play Store credit, and you can't use it on devices. It's for content only.

From what I'm hearing, google is limiting what you can download to the device. Can someone confirm whether the Android Slingbox app is downloadable from the Play store for this?
You can download most apps in the real play store by going to play.Google.com on your computer and selecting your nexus player. You can also use an app like apk extractor on your phone, copy the apk to your nexus player and side load it
If Google was smart, they would let us use those credits to buy the controller. They would make more money selling us games.

I placed an order on Nov 22nd with debit and it worked fine. I placed another one on Nov 26th with creditcard and that one went through no problems as well. What issues are you facing? Have you tried calling them? I'm from London, ON in case that helps.

Oh! That's what you meant. Man, I was looking forward to trying that out when my phone got here. But I think I read somewhere on xda that it should work here for some merchants... Have you personally tried it?

I had to sideload the Wallet app as it seems like Canadian Nexus 5s do not have the Wallet app installed. I received a message once logging in saying that Google Wallet is not supported in my country.

wallet is offered on their .ca website and if you scroll down it even has the tap and pay advertised http://www.google.ca/wallet/shop-in-stores/
but the FAQ says its only available in the states at the moment... pity http://www.google.ca/wallet/faq.html#tab=faq-general
There's nothing you can do right now. Wallet actually is installed, it's just frozen (take a look at Titanium Backup). Even if you defrost it you get the error that it doesn't work in your region. I even tried revoking location permissions for Wallet. You can apparently enter a fake US address and get further and try adding cards but your payment will always be declined when you actually go pay. Just going to have to wait for Google or someone else to step up in Canada.

In case anyone still wanted to play even though the creator, Dong Nguyen, has removed it from the Play Store. I'm uploading the .apk here for people to download. This is the original Flappy Bird game and it has not been modified in any way. Make sure Unknown Sources is checked in your device's security settings.

Yeah it works. It's the original app from the Play Store. I used titanium backup to get the .apk.

I hate this game
They are paying $5-7,000 for iPhone 5s/4s and iPads with the app preinstalled I heard on the radio this morning.
But why are people doing this in the first place when every app download is tied to a Google/Apple cloud account?
And of course now we have the apk here.
Maybe I should sideload this onto my $99 HP Touchpad running Jellybean that I've kept in good shape and see if someone on CL will pay $1,000 for it.

I'm a little newbie to this, I was able to install and open the flappy bird, but where does the phone store the app? It didn't put an icon anywhere that I can find so once I closed it, I have not been able to find it again to play. :crying: Thanks,Karen

It says that in my purchase I have the entertainment kit but idk whether it's being shipped to me right now or I have to do something to claim it and then it'll ship. I bought both devices just in time before the deal ended. Anyone claim theirs yet?

Yes, you have to register through the Samsung Shop app. Only way to do it as far as I know.
I just got the gear 360 deal but don't see the entertainment kit offer

See I get that No submission associated with my email thing too.
But the thing is, I've already received the free Netflix email and redeemed it.
The Samsung orders page says that the entertainment kit is "Confirmed"
and trying to register for it through the Shop app says it's already been redeemed.
But, it also says the Gear 360 one is redeemed, even though I haven't bought it.
So ya, no way for me to check on the status of the Physical items until they're shipped i guess.

Because i was opening the check status link on my computer
And the only emails regarding the entertainment kit i got are the marketing spam, and the one containing my Netflix promo, which i clicked on and redeemed.

I was wondering if anyone had or tried the Starbucks app for the Gear S3 in the US. A user in Korea posted a review about it and it seems pretty cool. Locate nearby Starbucks locations, pre-order and pay through the app, bring up available coupons/card info to be scanned at the store, etc.
Sadly, it looks like I'm unable to post outside links here since I'm new here. Hope we get this in the US.

I suggest you try the other Starbucks app for samsung watches, called "SB Coffee Card". You can download from the Samsung store and it works with S3/Active/Galaxy/Sport/etc....and it's a standalone app (No need for phone or internet connection) so always usable.
If you don't want to pay for the app, just take a picture of the barcode on your Starbucks card and send it to the gallery on your watch

(On my Galaxy) I should point out this app is not made by starbucks (the author is upfront about that) - but it's probably the app Starbucks SHOULD have built. It works standalone (no need for internet connection, or phone nearby). Realistically I am not interested in preordering or topping up from credit card using my watch. I just want to pay for my bux and get away from all the hipsters
Maybe wait for a black friday deal on the app...or coupons. Not that $3 is too much to spend on an app, I just like free stuff.

Did they get Google Pay fixed? There were saying it would freeze up when trying to open it.
Just got mine today and Google Pay works after you update it flawlessly.
Got one today - Google Pay certainly installs fine, open OK etc.. Tied to the double click on home. All seems fine. Haven't had a chance to actually pay for anything yet, but seems fine so far.
Used it last night in tesco, works great. Just wish we could Nike the Samsung pay app, and map the button, but hey

to set google pay the default payment method just go to settings>connections>nfc>payment and choose google pay

is your watch from a country where google pay works?
if you search googl epay on the play store you should see if it is available on your watch too (like telegram in the picture below)
or it should mark as installed if it's already on your watch
otherwise it's not available in your country or in the country your watch belongs to...

I got Google pay working by opening the Google store on my watch, not my phone. I then searched Google pay and downloaded it on my watch.
I am using Google pay on my watch but noticed in the NFC tab that there is an option pay with open app.
Anyone know what this is for.?

i think it enables the payment only if you have googlepay on the screen of the watch
