If You have Root, and R/W to /System, download Xposed Framework. I saw some app, witch move OBB stuff to SD card. Try it.
Try using Foldermount app, this worked for me. Obviously you need to be root.
Wen i install and run the app foldermount restart the device i have xperia m2 d2306

Anyone has the native camera apk? I deleted mine being a idiot, and I know I can just use the update service and repair but truthfully that's a lot work because of restoring data, root etc when I can just install one app :-\

thank you but it won't install. Sigh I'll just have to do it the hard way =/
You might need to push them both to /system/app/ (in root directory before sdcard) n then try instal using root explorer or similar?

I tried all of that but it didn't work
hi maybe you must give the apk and odex permissions
put the two files apk and odex on your sdcard
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
dd if=/sdcard/SemcCameraApplication.apk of=/system/app/SemcCameraApplication.apk
chmod 644 /system/app/SemcCameraApplication.apk
dd if=/sdcard/SemcCameraApplication.odex of=/system/app/SemcCameraApplication.odex
chmod 644 /system/app/SemcCameraApplication.odex
reboot
or copy the two files with rootexplorer (mount r/w) into sytem/app and give them with a long press on apk and odex the permissions and check
User- read and write
Group- read
Others- read
then reboot
i hope it works for you
try it with ADB on your pc and flash a new theme with a camera.apk...
that is the method of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742821
i hope you understand what i mean...
and i hope that it should work for you
Could you pls post theapk directly i have problems accessing the link

this is a market link to the es file explorer app. download it press menu button- go to settings- go down to root- select it and grant permission and then mount system as writable with it right below it. then copy the camera.apk to the system/app folder and your done.(to get there press favorites then choose the second icon then go down to system)
download any rom and open it with winrar find there semccamera or something and enjoy  i did this several times when deleted something important, besids you have done root... :highfive:

Hi all.. Having a problem changing the system background on my daughters x10.. (The background you get behind all the system menus and apps like calculator and calendar etc..)
I did this on my Arc recently and it was a doddle - once I'd got the images cropped to the right size..
So here's what I did on the X10.
Copied the framework-res.apk to the SD card
Opened it using 7zip
navigated to res\drawable-hdpi
replaced the semc_bg and semc_general_bg images with the new ones I'd created.
then navigated to res\drawable-land-hdpi and replaced the semc_bg image in there.
copied the file back into the system folder.
changed the permissions to rw-r--r--
copied it to framework folder...
phone reboots and then gets stuck at sony ericsson white logo screen...
reflashed using SEUS twice now!..
On the Arc I also had to amend the image files in another place.. SemcGenericUxpRes\res
but I don't seem to have that folder on the x10...
Thanks.
** BUMP ** Anyone?
What rom/firmware are you on?
How are you moving the framework-res?
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
stock 2.1 unbranded.. moving it using root explorer.. which is what I did on my arc..
Sent from The Arc!
Try moving it using adb push. Or use adb mask controller or x10 mod tool if you like/need a gui. You could also make a zip for xrecovery if you have it installed. Root explorer method never worked for me on x10 either...

Thanks Might try ADB pushing it.. although if I knacker her phone up again she'll not be happy.. so I might just let her decide if she wants me to take the risk... haven't bought titanium for her phone cos I don't want to register MY card on HER phone... recipe for disaster!

adb should work just fine. Also have you installed recovery ? If no do it and take nandroid before doing it. It would go back to just like it was before.
Yea, xrecovery is super-easy to install & well worth it. Plus you (or one of us) could add the framework-res into a flashable zip we know will work.
BTW, there is a free version of titanium... &/or xrecovery will back up your entire phone as realunited said.
Thanks - Yeah - realised there was a free version after I posted - got it mixed up in my head with Root Explorer!.. yes - have xrecovery on there too.. is nandroid on the market? or is it part of xrecovery - not used it for a few months..
Cheers.
It just means using the backup option in xrecovery. There is a tut for making xrec zips in the dev section or post the framework-res here & I can look at it later when I get home.

Hi Aydee - Thanks for your help with this so far!!.. I've done a nandroid backup on the x10 and trying to ADB push the file - it won't let me - says "permission denied".. I tried ADB Remount and shell commands...
$ adb shell
$ su
$ mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
both not giving me r/w access...
X10 is rooted and busybox installed....
What am I doing wrong?!
[edit - got the su working in shell.. and tried mtdblock2 also.. still won't let me push!]
[edit2 - unsecured the shell and mounted as rw... still won't let me push!!.. saying permission denied!]
To be honest I havent used just straight up adb in a while other than zipaligning, I usually use x10 mod tool or xrecovery zips lately. They have been a reliable and quick. So my manual commands are rusty at best.. Would you want to try one of the other ways maybe? Or I'm sure someone else will know why push isnt working...

Thanks Aydee tried x10 mod tool last night - was getting the same error - seems the phone isn't properly unsecured... will try a few different things later.. if anyone else has other ideas.. I'd appreciate it!

It looks like it didn't get the su permission. Check your phone after typing su. If you want i can make a zip to flash.
Hi - Yeah it got the SU ok.. don't really know why it wasn't working - Think it may be to do with the way I was using ADB push - I was trying to push the file directly into the system or framework folders.. x10 mod tool pushed it to a "SD" folder first then ran another shell command to replace it in the framework folder.. don't really know enough about it !!.. anyway.. got it working via x10modtool.. just need to figure out how to do the same now for the phone and phonebook.. presume it's a PNG within those individual apps?
When making a ZIP.. does it need to be a complete system image or can you just zip the framework-res file on it's own and zip that via xrecovery?
Cheers!

Just drag the framework-res.apk into the framework folder without extracting it. After that just flash it.
so presumably I would need to either ADB pull the whole FRAMEWORK folder first? or take a copy using a file manager (AKA root explorer etc)..?

Its not a repost guys. I created this thred only for quick view for new android users.
1. You must have java runtime enviornment installed on your computer.
2. You must have a rooted froyo or gingerbread firmware.
3. When we use xultimate 2.2 we must have our phone into USB debugging mode.
4. First u do xutimate procedure as kkrazzy has said.
-Run option 1. After option 1 is done, run option 2.
-Now these well take a while. Run option 3.
-IMPORTANT: After you have run option 3
-Now run option 4, and wait.
-Exit xUltimate, and put the phone in USB mass storage.
-Go back into the xUltimate folder and copy "done_frame", and "done_app",
and move them to the root of the internal sdcard not in the external sd.
-Now again connect phone into usb debugging mode.
5. I suggest that if anybody dont have SDK on their system then dont worry. Insted of SDK simply use adb.exe file which is in the superoneclick folder.
Go into SuperOneClick-->ADB folder. There u will get adb.exe file.
6. Take that whole adb folder & copy it to C drive path (U can keep it anywhere) including other files inside that folder.
Means u will get path of adb file as C:\adb\adb.exe
7. Now enter into command promp.
8. There u will see a path like C:\document and settings> (This path may be different for someone else. Thats not important)
9. This is very impotant step. Simply write there as
cd C:\adb\
Then in next line write adb shell.
You will see a msg on screen demon started successfully.
10. Thats it. You have entered into adb command mode.
11. Now remember by default # sign is always there at start of each line when u enter into adb command mode. Dont write it again in any command command...!!!
12. Now one by one run command
$ su
# stop
# mount -o remount rw /system
# rm /system/app/*.odex
# rm /system/framework/*.odex
# cp /sdcard/done_app/* /system/app/
# cp /sdcard/done_frame/* /system/framework/
# mount -o remount ro /system
# reboot
13. You will observe that after writing second command # stop your device will get hang. It will not at all respond. If that happens then u r going in right direction. Phone will hang till end of command.
14. Last command # reboot will restar ur device. But sometimes it will not. U will see a msg on computer screen as reboot returned. Dont worry. Simply Disconnect & restart phone.
15. Thats it guys. U will get a deodexed phone.
16. To check whether it is deodexed or not simply go into system->app folder. There u will see only .apk files. U will not at all observe .odex files there.
THIS IS SIMPLEST WAY I HAVE EXPLAINED. HOPE NOW NO ONE WILL FACE DIFFICULTIES IN DEODEXING.
PRESS THANKS IF THIS IS HELPFUL FOR YOU

I have accidentally installed a theme that is probably of higher resolution than my phone screen. Now in locked mode the unlocking option/pattern/graphics is not visible as it is 'spilling out of screen'.Only a part of large lockscreen wallpaper is occupying my entire screen. Android debugging is on in my device (thankfully). Please suggest me a tool/method using which i can control the phone using PC(or atleast unlock the phone). I (obviously) cannot install anything on my phone, i found some such apps that need installation on phone.
Last option is to flash my phone in recovery with a ROM, but i dont want to do that if other ways possible. my phone is on MIUI ROM developed on 26/9/12
You can wipe your /data in recovery if you don't mind
Or you can manually delete the theme using adb(the apk will be in /data/app).
PS: make a nandroid backup first in case anything goes wrong...
Edit: if you don't know the Apk name, navigate to /data/app and type find(Idk if it will work on windows, cause I tested it in android )

FIRST YOU STOP SPAMMING EVERYWHERE
What is the problem when you can see all system files and folder. Go to data /app.. and delete it. Or if you have moved the theme apk to sdcard.. just browse your sdcard using an adapter and delete that appname.apk from ".android_secure" folder.
Use these (if you havent moved the app to sdcard)
adb shell
login as.. su
cd data/app
ls
rm appname.apk
reboot
problem solved
Sorry 'senior member' , i did not mean to spam but if u can understand my desperation. btw problem solved- a noobie like me suggested to call from a different phone and while on the call change the theme....
i myself tried a lot fiddling with command line but wasnt able to figure out.

Terminal?
If anyone is still stuck on 5.0.0...
if you get the Terminal Emulator, the following instructions will work; supposing you have a folder in download you want to move to obb:
cd /sdcard/Download
Let's say our folder is com.sample.folder
cp -r com.sample.folder /sdcard/Android/obb
If you want to check it
cd /sdcard/Android/obb
ls (or ls -l)

I've tried many ways to do this, but in all of them it seems i don't have the permission to do that (write on this folder) i can't delete what's in the folder, i mean i can, but when i refresh the folder nothing changes.
i can copy archives there but it seems they all turns into 0kb files when i do so, i can't move stuff there.
i'm stuck, and i can only see this folder searching with ES or creating it with root explorer (but then it vanish when i leave the folder)
In the way you said above terminal writes that i don't have permission to do that, and i have a rooted device.

Download and install the latest version of TWRP for your phone. Then boot your phone into recovery. From there go into advanced and click terminal the input
chown -R media_rw:media_rw /data/media/
find /data/media/ -type d -exec chmod 775 {} ';'
find /data/media/ -type f -exec chmod 664 {} ';'
That should fix this issue (when you reboot your phone it should be there but be aware that whenever you reboot you have to do this or at least I do)
Hope I Helped
