Hey guys, i own a Vodafone Smart Tab 4, and google gives no awnser to my question: how do i root it? It would be awesome If anybody can help me.

If you are on 4.2.2 then you can use framaroot (Choose barahir option if I remember correctly)
If you have updated to the latest update I am unsure what will root. I am still trying. Towel root does not work, I have tried changing the parameters but no luck yet.

Framaroot will not remove the stock firmware, just use it to root and you will still be on stock.

Thanks for the replay.
I know that, but from what I have read, after the root You might have update problem, so it is best to have the stock image just in case I will have to flash it.

No problem at all. On one of my devices I had rooted it and still updated to 4.4.4 without a hassle. However, I could not root it on that FW yet.

Hay guys I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini (GT-I8910N) an I've rooted it, but now I see there is new update coming out an I want to unroot my phone to update it. And I'm interested if any of you guys tried to unroot your phone using SuperSU's permanent unroot, I saw that option, but it just sounds to easy. So if I use that option will I be able to download new update and use NFC again? And will I be able to root my phone again?

the only way to truly unroot your device is to flash the stock firmware back onto it.
the unroot option in superuser or whatever does not remove all traces of root on any phone, even though it may technically be no longer rooted.

Hi,
my phone has been having issues since rooting. if i unroot then downgrade, can i root again? supersu says unroot is permanent- not sure what it means
Unroot on supersu not working on oneplus 2...
stuck in 'please wait...'
i get "uninstalling, please wait..." , and it never completes.
this happens when i try to use: "full unroot, cleanup for permanent unroot" (in settings).
the full unroot is simply not working/stuck, acting like it is uninstalling. i tried a bunch of reboots, and root checker confirms i'm still rooted.
i have already bricked my phone once, previously, trying to unroot (because this feature did not work on my device: oneplus 2, and i got over-zealous trying to unroot).
help! i don't want to brick again trying to unroot.
would like to get updates when 1+ make them available.
no help googling this problem.

possible fix...
unticked unknown sources for apps under security, and supersu let me "unroot." i made a number of attempts to unroot and got no results til i did this. when 1+2 gets an update, i will know. root checker says, "Sorry! root access not properly installed...," now.

I would use supersu to do a full unroot. Update then re root, but thats me. You should be able to as long as you dont have a custom recovery but root would be removed during the update so you might as well just go the supersu route.

I will certainly do that! I'm pretty new to rooting, so I apologize if this is a dumb question: Is there anything else I need to do before I unroot with superSU?
Thanks again for your time!

Nope download and install it and then use the unroot feature. Its pretty straight forward. No worries either we all have to start somewhere.

Will do, thanks again!
I've been looking around and it seems there isn't a lot we can do with the AT&T Note Pro? I've rooted and let SuperSU disable KNOX for me. Should I just go ahead and start debloating via TiBU or is there more that I can do? Thanks!
EDIT: Also if I install the newest update for it can I still root?
Well, it seems I may not be able to root after updating. Even after getting the PRO version of SuperSU and checking the box to try and get root to survive, I have lost root. Also now Towelroot says my device is no longer supported. I know I read of another root method, so I will try that and report back.

Well the other root method (CF-AutoRoot) isn't compatible with the P907A. So... can anyone give me some guidance on how to revert to an older firmware. I'm sure it's possible I just haven't ever had to do it, so I don't really know how.

Hey, give this link a try: I'm not sure if this works or not as I haven't and won't try but I just wanted to suggest it http://www.osroots.com/how-to-root-oppo-f1-oppo-rooting-tips/
Also, if that doesn't work, give this a try: http://reviewroots.com/root-Oppo-F1-with-or-without-pc
Plus, could you give me your thoughts on the battery life? I am on the edge of buying this phone or the moto 3rd gen and the battery life is the only thing holding me back.
I can try reviewroots one later this day.. I post back how it work or if phone brick

I had tried "Kingroot" and "Framaroot" two days ago. Both of them don't work for F1.
Anyway,thanks for your sharing.:highfive:
There is no working root for Oppo F1 at the moment. Safe rooting methods are not available. The bootloader is locked and fastboot has been disabled.
I'd be very careful about trying to use one click app solutions for attempting to root the device, if you can get them to work. They are responsible for suspicious behavior, such as downloading stuff and installing their own root manager. Beware.
No hope
I tired everything, kingroot, Framaroot, oppo tool, Kingoroot no hope ?
Someone please find a way to root this phone

nice :good:
perhaps you can give us more clues :
1. does we need unlock bootloader / not ?
2. it need flashing from recovery (or even flash custom recovery) or only just an apk ?
this is interesting :highfive:
Has anyone tried TowelRoot?
Please help us root this device!
Thank you guys so much!
would using adb and remounting everything manually work? or downloading a firmware update and modding that
It will be much like my Find 7. Need to unlock bootloader to install TWRP recovery so you can flash SuperSU.
The trick is having an unlocked bootloader in the first place. The Find 7 wasn't a problem. Oppo didn't try to lock the user out.
I have an F1 here for my wife. Will root it once a developer has the exploits developed, tested and released to public. Just have to be patient and don't rush in doing risky experiments.
Try changing the launcher so it has a better UI for the daily stuff. ColorOS launcher is a PITA.

lol. uh no.
1: you can't remount system as /rw on a user build (only engineering/userdebug).
2: I think you mean a OTA update for system. Both the firmware and system are signed. You can't just do that.
You can use CVE-2015-1805. I got root via a kernel vuln, then exploited the bootloader to unlock it

If it's at all possible, could you (or anyone) please provide a very basic step by step/rough guide as to how you did this, for us newbies? So that I have some intructions to follow.
It would be appreciated sooo much...
Thank you for your help.
I updated to the latest version a few weeks ago, I am on 4.4.4 SU6-7.7. I am wondering if there is any possible root methods working for this update, or do I need to flash my device to a lower firmware then go from there?
did you get this done?? I'm working same issue.

Nope... I honestly doubt I will EVER get to find a root my phone. According to some people, it's nearly impossible.
I also gave up, is there a way to use xposed without root?
Never update...
Just do what everyone else does.. Download KingRoot app and keep checking back momentarily. No root = NO XPOSED
Download SunShine from theroot.ninja and check eligibility. If compatible, pay $25 - or not. Good luck to you
