A decent quality screen with a resolution of ~ 1024x600
Bluetooth
HDMI out (mini, micro, mhl)
and....well that's pretty much it. I seem to find a lot of one or the other. For example the Archos 70 has hdmi out but an 800x400 screen. The Ainol Novo 7(aurora/elf) has 1024x600 and hdmi out but no bluetooth. I thought I'd be allright without Bluetooth but the more I think about it, I use Torque to diagnose people's engine codes sometime and would like to continue doing that with whatever tablet I end up with.
I do like the Motorola Xyboard even though it's 8.2 inches however I can't get that without being tied to verizon for 2 years of their terrible data plan, so that's out =/
Hopefully I'm overlooking something and the answer is right in front of my face.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus or the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7
Both available in Wifi only so no need for contracts....

yeah samsung galaxy is a good bet.
I assume they both require a docking station to use HDMI?
Not the ideal solution, but certainly doable. Noted and thank you!
I have the s3 and the note 10.1 and looking for a 7" tablet with pen support. I love the spen in the note and hope there is a pen for the 7 plus. Is there a solution?
I only have 8 days to decide which one I want.
I always have been atracted to 10.1 tablets the only thing it makes me wonder about getting the 8.0 is that is newer + a little bit more faster.
Can you all tell me how is the tablet? never used it.. Is it good? fast? smooth? Can be flashed to be much better?
At first I was a little bit in between ipad or samsung but I decided samsung, now I'm between theses 2
The speed difference between the Not 8 and Note 10.1 is negligible, you'll appreciate the extra real estate space afforded by the 10.1 for S Pen apps.
The spen on the Note 10.1 is what sets it apart from all other tablets. If you have no interest in using a stylus, then any of the other Galaxy Tabs will give you the same experience.

You do realize 8.0 has the S-Pen, too, right?
Sorry, I for some reason I was thinking of the Galaxy Tab.
So to the original question, I would agree with the other post about the speed being negligible. It really depends on what you are using the tablet for. I use my 10.1 for sketching, and the 10" is a good size for that.
hi
yesterday i got my 10.1 and i did see one more ie the 8 if im right this one is 8 inch then id say its is better to have a bigger screen i was using a 7inch tab and really wanted a bigger one i wasn't all that impressed with the 8 inch one so i feel did the right thing in getting the 10.1 this is just FYI on my decision to buy the 10.1
i also did see other brand in the same size but this one blew me away man yes it was way 2 costly for me but i just fel in love with it and got it and in my country(india) their was a CC offer with 9 months interest free payment yes no processing fee and no interest so i just piked it up :laugh:
and im loving it man:good::laugh::laugh:
I have to think for overall use, the Note 10.1 will trump the 8.0.

I definetely made my mind.
I'm getting the 10.1 Galaxy note mostly 'cause the processor is almost the same as the 8 (quadcore 1,4 vs 1,6) and my main concerned: the size. I'm really excited to watch series on the tablet and with the speakers will be a very cool experience
I'm considering getting a Samsung Galaxy 10., but I'm torn over accessibility! I need help with finding the power of its magnifier. Can it get up to at least 36 font? If not I guess I'm going to have to deal with iOS 7 . Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
This is as big as it gets.
I'm not sure which Galaxy Note 10.1 you mean.
There is the one with the faux-leather back [aka 2014 edition]
+
The 1st generation Note 10.1 with front facing speakers.
I'm pretty sure all Android devices have the accessibility setting panel.
Not sure how advanced it is in the 1st generation note however....
On the 2nd generation note however, you can set the font size as "huge" which looks like 36pt to me.
(See attachment below)
And as a tip, don't get the 1st gen. I've owned it before, and it was pretty tacky.
It still runs off on 4.0.4.
Get the white version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition SM-P600
It really all depends on what you're planning to use the tab for, but If you dont mind
getting a 2gb ram instead of 3gb
and not getting the S Pen
Get the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Pro edition.
The build is the same, but with more updated software.
It's also 50$ cheaper.
Feel free to ask if you have questions!

Hello,
I have received a samsung galaxy tab A 8.0 . I know that 9.7 comes with a pen but 8 doesn't. I am a student and I want to take notes on my 8.0 tablet. Can anyone please suggest me the best possible stylus? Will active stylus work on my tablet? I am planning to use it for school purposes and it will involve a good amount of writing.
Thanks
I have the Tab A 8.0 with S Pen (model SM-P355). I don't think that a stylus will work on the SM-T series (the Tab A models without an S Pen). I also have the Note 8, and know that the S Pens are not interchangeable between them.
