Problem of slow charging - LG G Pro 2

I have a problem, my oem usb cable isn't working anymore so i bought three different usb cables(using the original 2A charger) but all of them charges the phone very slowly despite "slow charging" notification not showing up. This problem happens to appear after installing digital minds v3 rom. I don't know if it is a cable problem, charger problem or rom problem. If anyone tried different cables pls advise me

I also have this problem. it just seems to charge a lot slower than my old Samsung S3.
i opened a thread a while ago about it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pro-2/general/charging-speeds-t2904844

I have the same Problem,but i plug in,plug out 3 Times,this works for me.(D838 32GB)

[Q] Broken Micro USB Port

Okay so my usb port has been a bit annoying the past week - where i had to vigorously wiggle the cable to get it to charge or to sync (and even when it did decide to connect to the computer, it would chop out eventually)
But now it's no longer charging or being recognized by my comp
It's strange because the headphone adapter was working fine, and so was the usb host, but it just wont charge anymore - I effectively now have a dead TG01
Currently, i'll get the orange light, telling me it's charging, but when i try to power on, nothing happens...
So i'm thinking a new USB port which is where I need some help: I'm not sure on what part to get
But maybe This is the one? Comparing the images with the ones found on the net of the TG01 (Yep - I still haven't got mine open yet)
But yeah, just a heads up on whether you think it would work would be epic, or whether you think i should just try a different battery/charger/throw it away (Although i'm almost certain it's the port, as it was working intermitently before - it's now gone altogether)
are u using only usb to charging or an wall charger?

Wall charger, but i tried USB, and still no luck
It just wont charge at all, regardless of the orange light when plugged in now that it's off (though i wouldn't get it when the phone did still have charge left and was therefore still switched on...)
BUMP: Any ideas you clever people? Just some guidance would be nice...
I'm still without my beloved TG01, I'm having to use a **** old Samsung G600
I do have some problems of my own with my USB cable. I believe the problems are due to the cable, though. The wall charger works fine. The USB cable that I use, has to stay somehow "forced"... imagine having the cell laying face up on a desk. The USB cable gets out and is forced by a small pen that stays right near the cellphone, to have a 30% slope upwards, so pushing a bit the cable onto the upper part of the USB port. I do know that you are telling us a different issue, however, maybe this way you could check whether it's just a broken connection and not a completely dead port.
No, this sounds like the exact issue i had...
It was like this with the Charger and USB - where i had to force it to be recognised or charged, and it would still cut out after a while - and wiggling it or knocking it wouldn't actually affect it, it would be of it's own accordance...
But it was strange because the headphone adapter worked fine...
Nothing happens at all now though
Are you try: Settings- Connections- USB to PC- unmark Enable advanced network functionality
I can't turn the phone on because it wont charge, so it's not that
Battery may be defective. Try with any 5V charger, connect directly to battery pin in 10 min
Hi
It vaguely remembers me of something I read on the forum about different micro usb (explaining my different cables do not connect just the same, some easy, some bit forced); I think there also was a drawing. (but I don't have time to search for the exact thread; it was not the "solving usb port mistery one))
Maybe your earphone adaptator don't have exactly the same as your charger? And if it is not battery trouble, find a charger with the "very right" micro usb plug?
Thank you both so much for your response:
I understand why you say it could be the battery problem with the charger - but it doesn't explain the intermittent connection with my computer when using the USB cable. Which is convincing myslef more and more that it's a port problem
One solution for now would be to buy one of these cheap external battery chargers from eBay, but it would mean i still wouldn't be able to use sync using the USB cable and i'm a bit conscious on whether the charger is safe and wont fry my battery
Which is why i'm leaning towards having a stab at reparing it myself
It'd solve the issue directly and it'd be a safer and more secure solution too... (the external charger would have to be ordered in from Hong Kong eBay)
I'm having what seem to be exactly the same problems. I have used 2 x usb based chargers on it - and neither work (whereas they had been working for the past 6 months). Got a mains charger last week - was working for a while - but as of right now, no longer works.
I'm not sure what else to do. I will try later to use the other adapter I have for connection to usb keyboard. The strange thing is - this will probably work but charging won't!
So....is it the micro usb port that's broken? (strange if it is but still works for data)
OR
could it be the battery?

USB Issues

For some reason my OPO will only charge with certain charger & cable combinations. The original OPO combo does not work whatsoever. However, a few cheap cables that I have that supply power only (no data) and my Chromecast cable will work with any charger. The cables that do not work seem to work momentarily; long enough to turn on the charging led for a second and the battery charging indicator on screen and almost immediately turn off. MTP and USB-OTG do not work either. Just recently I read a thread on OnePlus forums where a guy was having the same issue but he found that if he plugged his cable in very slowly it would charge. This works for me as well.. but it still does not initiate a data connection if connected to a computer. I have replaced the charging port flex 3 times.. so I highly doubt it is an issue with that. I have flashed different roms, recoveries, and kernels. I'm not sure what else to do. if anyone has any insight or info that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Just use Capdase USB Cable with any 2A Charger. Flash Boeffla Kernel and increase your charging rates. It charges so so fast!
Thanks.. but I do not believe this will solve my issue. I have ordered a new battery to see if replacing it will do any good.

Wierd charging issue

For the last three months my G920F automatically connects and disconnects from the charger when it is connected to the wired charger. It happens quite oftenly when the battery is charging from 0 to 20 percent and when there are more apps opened i.e. the phone is drawing more current. This connection problem slows down after 20% though. I haven't noticed this on wireless charging. I ve bought a new cable and charger and the problem still persists. The phone will automatically disconnect and connect in a fraction of a second without moving any cable or phone.
So is it a damaged usb port or is it some kind problem with the charging IC? I am using orignal fast charger and cable and i have tried dozen other cables and chargers. Knox is tripped though.

Sounds like it could be the charging port if you have tried different chargers and cables, apart from that you can try flashing a new rom, just remember to back up.

Already tried that. Right now i am on stock marshmallow with space x kernel.
have the same issue since ~3 months. Its happening fitfully and i think about sending it into repair.
I was also using different chargers and cables but the issue still exists. So far the only work around is using wireless charging. I'm on Stock 6.0.1 btw

Fast charging not working

Yesterday morning, the Fast Charging worked ( I have an original Fast Charge adapter and a Baseus cable and i was charging with it with no problem until now)
That same afternoon I took the phone to replace the camera window(not the whole camera just the glass on the front; there are no signs of opening the phone)
In the evening I put the phone to charge and it writes that it takes 6 hours for full charge up to 100%
I was replacing adapters, cables- showing the same(approximately 6 hours).
I went to 3 stores, wanted different adapters and cables and still shows the same-USB charging,
My question is if anyone has an idea what to do in the situation because they told me that if I had to change the USB port or the battery, the phone should be opened.

Nope...Even this isnt working...I have to transfer files over Wi-Fi...My PC says that it cant recognise the device even with installed Samsung drivers..So yeah I guess it has to be broken USB-port...
Fast charger not working because of:
1 you installed custom kernel
2 bad custom rom
3 bad cable
4 bad usb phone connector
To make sure you have good ROM
Flash the right stock ROM...then take it from there...

Yes. So more then for sure is broken USB-port...
I have the same problem. No fast charging and no connection to PC. This worked before and both abruptly went bad. I figured it was a bad phone connector port/jack and replaced it with a new one. Still doesn't fast charge or connect to the PC. Tried many cables also. Most be a software glitch. This has been driving me crazy for a few weeks. Can't figure it out.
To add, I did try to connect my phone to a fast charging car charger and noticed it wasn't fast charging and then I brought it in to the house to charge it normally to see if it was fast charging and it wasn't. After plugging it into the car charger, no more fast charging anywhere. Like I said, I changed the charging jack board in the phone and still not fast charging or connection to PC. Both had worked previously.
I have the same problem too, 6/7 months ago suddenly fast charging stopped working and no connection to pc. I have to mention that i have stock firmware, i never had a custom one and tried lots of usb cables pcs etc

Note Edge Charging Via USB only [HELP]

Hello Everyone,
I am facing a very annoying problem, My galaxy note edge has stopped charging. When I plug in the charger it doesn't do anything and stays ideal.
(When I am lucky out of 100 attempts, it takes charging only 1 or 2 times)
When I plug in my mobile with usb cable into my MacBook it takes charging flawlessly but very slow charge.
When i turn off my phone completely and try charging it using an adaptor with cable, the screen lights up with the battery icon and then itturn off again. I can feel vibration near the home button right above the charging port but it doesn't charge at all.
The original charger which came with this phone is already dead So currently, I am using original galaxy S5 adapter(no-fast charging) with brand new amazon basic cable which is working fine with all other phones.
I have an original Motorola turbocharger which is working fine with my friend's galaxy note edge but not with mine ( it worked only 2 days but now it has stopped working)
tried with various other cords and adapters with different locations but nothing really helped.
I tried formatting my phone under settings but it also didn't help and the problem is still there.
Any expert out there who can help me? It is out from warranty and doesn't wanna go to the service center as they are asking for unrealistic prices, which I can't bear.
Any kind of help or information would be highly appreciated.
P.S : Borrowed my friend's original note edge charger to test it out. It is tking charge but when i plug in it shows usb file transfer not doing fast charge acting like a usb connection through a computer.
