Hello everyone!
I'm probably out of luck on this one, but I was wondering if there's any way to make the microphone button on my wired headset initiate google now. I think it would be an awesome way to interact with my phone without having to turn the screen on or touch the device.
Is there any way to do this? I'm on the lollipop preview at the moment, but I'm curious in general if anyone knows a way to make this work.
Thanks!

Have you tried pressing and holding the button? That works for me, using Lollipop.

I did try that. I held down the mic button for a solid 10 seconds and nothing happened. I'm on Pure-White Lollipop.

I am looking for a lock feature that locks the phone simply when you depress the power button. I have come accross all sorts of fancy ways of locking the phone, but not this.
Can someone please point me to this tweak (if it is indeed available)

Not free, but I'm using Pocket Shield, and they have a trial you could try.

Which one and version please? Thanks
ok - installed. seems to be what I want. Thanks!
If I don't want to enable that feature in Advanced Configuration tool, is there another way to get to it? Or is there a Cab/App That I can use to lock unlock my phone? I like that ACT lets you lock the screen by pushine the power button, but sometime I just want to turn off the screen not lock it,,,

I can't seem to find this option in Advanced Config 3.3 either.
I'm sure it's probably a well known tip but I only just found it out (Got my Touch Pro yesterday) that you can hold the call end key to lock the device, which is better than nothing but I'd still rather have a way of making the power button do this too.

Ok, another question on the topic is there a way to add a lock button to the touchflo homepage?
Full Lock???
I have this thing that is bothering me.
When I have my Fuze on my belt ( screen locked using S2U2 ) and I activate Voice Command to make a call or just answer a call using my BT Headset the phone menu will come on with a big end call button in the middle.
Without fail I would move around and nudge the phone with the right force through the case and hang up on whoever I was talking to.
Is there an option in the S2U2 or another way of locking the phone so that when the screen is locked it's really locked?
thanks!
I reflashed and now can't get my device to lock when I press the power button. The device won't lock at all, even when I hold the end key.
How did you get it to lock when you press the power button?
Is there a way to program the side volume rocker to change the volume system wide? I don't like how the volume rocker only changes the volume for the ringer when not in an app. I'd like it to change not only for calls, but also system, music, and notifications. I know there are apps out there that can do this, but that is not a solution I am looking for. I feel that this basic option should have been included in Android but I can't for the life of me find a solution.
Thanks,
Anyone? I can't be the only one wanting this feature.
No there is nothing you can do unless you remap the function of vkeys. Ask a dev may be he might be able to help you with it.

Hello friends, I am Naveen Naushad, an indie Android developer from India. I developed this app for G3, with which you can change the Volume button launch apps when the phone is locked, that too without root access.
I believe it will work with G2 as well as I have incorporated G2's shortcuts as well. But I have no way to test it. Could you guys please test it out and let me know the status? It will work on stock LG ROM (and ROMs based on it) where volume Up currently launches QuickMemo while volume Down launches camera.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apptuners.keyplusapp
Lollipop Situation
In the case of G3, LG hardcoded Volume Down shortcut to their own Camera app, starting from Lollipop. But Volume Up works fine. Don't know how things will turn out for G2.
Tested on D800 running Cloudy G3 2.0 and works perfectly
Thanks. Gave 5 *s on Google Play
I tested it on Cloudy 2.1 and while volume up does the job, down doesn't. I gave 5 stars as well. Thanks.

Is Cloudy 2.1 based on Lollipop? Otherwise it should work. Does it load the Camera app instead, like it used to be?

When you pressed the volume down key the first time after installing Key Plus, did you see the system popup that asks you to set it as default app? You must have seen it for the volume up key.

I see the popup for volume up key but there isn't any for down key. After installing, if I press up key the popup comes up but it doesn't happen for volume down key. If I try volume down key first, it takes me to camera app and no popup. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
thanks
LS980 stock KK rom
when with knock on, vol down works well, up can only run quickmemo
when with knock code, neither works
But it is crazy awesome!
I think it run more well in G3 ROMs
Is it possible to make it change music when music is playing? This would make me move to art.

Thanks. It is working fine on G3 ROMs. And unfortunately I don't have a G2 to test it.
Are you rooted? If yes, could you send me the APK of QuickMemo from your phone so that I can decompile and study it?

I tried to do it but unfortunately it is not possible. LG has designed the OS in such a way that if any media is playing, the volume buttons will only change the volume and do nothing else. So it is not possible for Key Plus to intercept the volume long press intent.
You can download it from this link:

here it is

Thanks guys. I have made some changes to the code. Unfortunately I have no way to test as I don't have a G2.
Could you guys please test this version and let me know if it detects both keys correctly?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/is9848dbsokchfg/keyplus1.0.2.apk?dl=0
tested
I tested v1.0.2
Knock on mode:Vol- works
knock code mode: neither
There was "java"or something error pops when i swith to knock code
now it is disappear
Mainly as same as v1.0.1
Great App, works on stock LG G2 Mini with no problem! One question- is there any option that i can choose no app in the volume shortcut?

It still doesnt work. I have knock on enabled. I tried to assign flashlight toggle with vol+, but it still launches quick memo instead.
I can report that vol- works flawlesly , but vol+ really just opens quickmemo

Never really thought about that as you could disable the shortcuts in system settings. But I guess you can't disable just one key alone. So I will try to add it in the next version.

Yea, it looks like it will not work on some devices that have any sort of lockscreen protection enabled. I am trying to find a work around for this.

Hi there
It's nice that honor supports air gestures. I like the option "raise to ear" to answer a call, but unfortunately it doesnt work for me. Anyone else having issues with it?
Me too. Its doesnt work.
Update
It seems I was holding it wrong
When holding the phone in the right hand, raise to ear works. Using left hand doesnt seem to work.
Hope this would be helpful to anyone!
Hi
Is there an app which tells the time by clicking e.g. Volume + button when screen is off? Or some way to do it to work like this?
