[Q] Motorola droid razr maxx hd Bricked or something please help - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i was on android 4.4 kitat but i wanted to go on 4.1 Jellybeans
so i try to downgrade it, i use Droid Razr Hd Utillity 1.21 to downgrade it to its stock firmware but phone is stuck and now if i try to put any firmware in it
Via RSD LITE its giving error "Failed flashing process 2/20 flash partition "gpt.bin" phone returned FAIL"
But if i try to put firmware Via RSD but with profile Universal its giving me error "Failed flashing process. 11/15 flash boot "boot.img" -> Phone returned FAIL"
i read it some where if i can create profile Via RSDScriptGenerator its gonna make 3 profile Full,Keep Data,Universal
and i have to use universal if i am trying to downgrade but its not working
i even try to put 4.4 in it again but its also not working phone is stuck on Fastboot Flash Mode for now
On other hand on phone error is
"downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
preflash validation failed for gpt
Partition (boot) Security version Downgraded
preflash validation failed for boot"
can any one help me because i think its soft bricked

You're getting the error because you tried to downgrade. Is your boot loader unlocked? If it's not, you can't downgrade. There's a thread in the general section with the latest FW, grab that and flash it, you should be good. If you're unlocked, you still need to correct the error. Flash the latest FW and use the guide in the general section to downgrade.

[Q] ROM Flash Fail

Good Evening,
First please forgive my english if i make some mistakes...
Here is my problem :
i have a Orange RAZR HD, I flashed it into a SFR ICS ROM, then Jelly Bean OTA update, that worked perfectly.
I tried to get back to Orange ICS, and there came the problem.
During flashing, i had this failure message :
On RSD lite :
Failed flashing process. 2/22 flash partition "partition_signed"->Phone returned FAIL
On the Phone :
Device is unlocked, Status Code : 3
Batterie OK
Transfer Mode:
USB connected
Fastboot reason: Flash Failure
usb connected
downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
preflash validation failed for GPT
When i try to turn it off or on... it doesn't move...
black screen or "Fastboot reason: Flash Failure"
any ideas to help me fix this !!!
Thanks for taking time to read me and help.

AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
10.98 (*) / sha-07671a2, 29.07.2014 10:41:50)
eMMC Info: Size 16gb
*

Failed to hab check for gpt_backup: 0x35
failed to load GPT

Now I had the bootloader unlocked and had already changed several firmware without problem, even down to jelly bean kitkat smoothly through fastboot.

The battery at this time should be 50%.
Excuse my English translator, but I'm looking for help.
The same with me! I found on forums that we need to flash the same or newer than OTA update software via RSD Lite. But where find those versions? Can someone help us ? Thanks!

Yes, unfortunately the SBF file has not come yet.
if someone could help. For my part I kept it to not drain the battery and also wait out the SBF
you can flash jelly bean from your original carrier , and see how that works for you. why didnt you unlock your bootloader? that should be on your list of to do man

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately unlock the bootloader is not an option as we did try but can not retrieve the infromacion.
I have tried several versions of JB but I have not been able to work, so Fastboot as RSD lite
FYI :unlocking bootloader can be done via Motorola website
as a friend? if I come and ask me the numbers obtained through fastboot and explain in my previous post that I can not get those numbers
and look at my email and found the key to unlock but I can not access the command window to enter it. I think something about the bootloader that does not let me do any of these operations
I have hbenz2008, CWGSM3VO and kabaldan to thank for getting my phone out of this problem...

Essentially, you just need to flash the KitKat partition/gpt image and the tz image before everything. Those were the only two files it allowed me to flash. Reboot into fastboot just to make sure your phone goes back to unlocked. Then RSD-Lite can do the rest (remember to remove the partition and tz lines from a pre-KitKat firmware's XML file).

Droid Maxx Bricked?

I have run into trouble using this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hb0jKB8OFko to flash stock firmware
My device: Droid Maxx
Bootloader locked, not rooted
4.4.4 at the start of the process
I downloaded the suggested firmware and ran into problems.
The first time I attempted it RSD appeared to flash everything except system.img which got hung up and the bootloader gave me a message in red stating: "no valid piv block in sp for system" This occured with the 1FF-obake-maxx_verizon-user-4.4.4-SU6-7.2-release-keys.xml.zip 1.0.0 software.
Figuring I had the incorrect firmware i tried two other roms: 1. CFC-obake-maxx_verizon-user-4.4.4-SU6-7.2-release-keys.xml.zip 1.0.0 and 2. 1FF-obake-maxx_verizon-user-4.4.4-SU6-7-release-keys.xml.zip 1.0.0. Both failed with a different error message. This time RSD and the bootloader told me "preflash validation failed for gpt".
I have tried this with RSD 6.1.5 and 6.2.4
My suspicion is that I don't have the correct firmware, but I could be wrong.
The bad news is that the phone will not boot into recovery or normally. The good news is that the phone WILL enter bootloader mode and RSD WILL recognize it.
Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated.
I posted an identical thread in the Ultra forum.

The preflash validation error you got was because you tried to flash an older firmware on a newer one. You'll need the latest firmware to successfully flash the stock ROM.

Download the latest firmware for your phone model. At this point I don't think there is any with January security patch. Just download the latest one you can find. And while flashing just skip gpt.bin and bootloader.img files. This should work. If you try it, please tell me if it worked.

ATT Sonim XP8 OTA Updates Failing (Failed to verify whole-file signature)

Hello,
This is probably a 'noobish' question but I'm a bit confused.
I have an AT&T Sonim XP8 that I flashed with this user debug image since the device got bricked so had to be re-flashed completely.
For reference, the bootloader is also unlocked.
Every time I try to update from AT&T Software Updater, the update downloads but the install will 'interrupt' and then if I try again it says the software is fully updated.
So I tried downloading the OTA updates from here but receive the error 'failed to verify whole-file signature' when I boot into recovery mode and try to install updates via adb.
So what I did next was factory reset the phone, run AT&T Software Updater with adb logcat running so I could try and capture the OTA update. I was able to, and this is the link if anyone wants it.
Then I booted into recovery mode and used this with the adb sideload command, and it still failed with the same failed to verify whole-file signature error. I was kind of confused why this would fail, considering that it's literally from the carrier.
If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.
