ear piece stopped working after digitizer swap

Hey all looking for help. I cracked my screen and got a replacement screen/digitizer/frame and successfully switched everything to the new chassis. Everything works except for the ear piece. Any tips to getting it to work?

Make sure that the contacts are lined up right to the motherboard, and make sure those contacts are clean
Thanks! I ordered a replacement anyway it was $9 on amazon. I accidently touched the ear piece with a magnetic screwdriver when I was trying to get screws. Would that fry the ear speaker? There's only one way the ear piece can possibly go that's why I'm confused about why its not working
Take a look at your old chassis where the old ear piece was there should be a little plastic seat that boosts it up closer to the contacts. You have to transfer that with the earpiece to your new chassis.
This might be a necropost but I figured it might help someone else who is googling with this problem.
It helped me. Thank you for posting!

Can you order that part as a replacement? I think I got rod of my old chassis before I realized I needed the piece underneath the earpiece.

LG G Flex 2- How Do I Clean Out The Dirt Around The Bezel Of The Speaker?

dirt inside ear speaker
Hello guys do you any owners of the lg g flex 2 have a problem with dirt around the bezel of the speaker grill ?
Because I have it and it is annoying I just got it in 2 weeks and I can't clean it out any advice how to do so
Try a needle or pin maybe? I don't have a G flex 2 but trying won't hurt, right? *famous last words*
Have a nice day, sent from my HTC One M8

I did it this time...

So through many things this morning.
im in the middle of trying to rebuild my crumbling chimney top. trying to google crap and the thing lagging like hell.
I got in one of those moods and chucked my g4 as hard as i could at the ground. In its case and of coarse destroyed the phone. decimated the lcd. Frame bent over a pretty good ways ...... take that lg.
Cracked the mother board up near the noise cancel mic and earpiece. a hairline crack. But still a good size crack. Ripped a few screws out
warped the battery.
and believe it or not i put a old lcd with frame i had with a cracked outer glass . put the mb in the new old lcd
i ripped the rear camera flex cable bein rough and put all back together.
And sure as crap lg sticks it to me again this thing wont die.... I put my sim card back in mem card nothing
knock on. ear piece speaker phone. all the radios everything works. All but the stinking flex cable for rear main camera. And technicly its the flex to the auto focus on the camera not the module itself.
My lg g4 is fricking immortal will not die.
Make me wanna throw it again out of fear.
kinda scares me.
sorry for ranting on
forum moderator please move this thread was meant for the lg g4 threads

Does anyone know if this would be fixed under warranty and if not the best way to restick it down?
I would try heating up the glue and sticking it back down.. heat gun would be best.. just be careful of how much you heat it up. Also.. in the future I wouldn't use a toothbrush. You maybe pushing dirt down into the grill. Something like silly putty might work better. I meant to add that when I get mine, I'm going to try a car/electronics attachment that came with my shark vacuum. It has tiny hose parts that might be able to suck debris out of the grill instead of pushing it down in there. I think they sell attachments like that for small shop vacs and other vacuums but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the tip the 1st few times i used a softish toothbrush and was ok, silly putty ive seen aimed for tech stuff and more jel like would work better i think next time and had used the tooth brush before ok i just think i removed the adhesive bond when cleaning it with the wipes as the phones not been expose to any heat for it to warm up enough for the grill to slide off.
Fingers cross Razer would good will a return / repair for me as now the speaker is a bit tinny and while holding the plastic tightly to the phone its not great abover 70% volume level but looking at the speaker grill in the middle its torn away a patch. This maybe to allow the sound out as it was a neat cut in the material thats left. Still wouldnt want to superglue resin (self repair) it until razer come back and say if they will fix it for me or not.

This stuff would be good.
Cheers i did compile a post and closed the wrong tab went away from my desk. Im waiting for someone in Razer to agree to the repair under warranty but if not ill be getting some tape hopefully i can find some thin and strong enough to go between the plastic thats come off and the non sticky adhevsive tape thats still there. Im not 100% sure if i should tape around the little square cut out or not. i was thinking small path between the left edge and camera/sensor and then a small bit to e right between camera and the torn away patch and then the last strip to the right of the pacth. its odd the patch is thereand its alot thiner than the rest of it.
Applying some pressure to the patch part i can only assume its the speaker as when covering it up the phones quiter. just unsure why its a patch? when playing last night with the bit that fell off theres some vibration so thinking where the patch is i just secure it down with the tape where i can.
Also may get a screen protector to remove the lip between the screen height compared to the plastic that fell off as this is not smooth and is a little sharp. - I may flag this with razer as a design flaw which could have lead to the problem as if it was sunken down it wouldnt have moved out of place
Something like this almost seems better. https://www.amazon.com/Innovative-C...&sr=8-4&keywords=cleaning+gel#customerReviews

Mobile Speaker cover issue?

If we cover mobile speaker using hand or anything or put tape on speaker then it will damage mobile speaker or any other thing in mobile?

No, as long as you don't put something inside the speaker grill that could damager it (E.g: Little metal scraps can tore your speaker appart if they're stuck in the speaker grill, you speaker is a magnet so keep it out from any metal debris). Putting your hand or tape over it won't affect it.
Totally right, it is correct. I am always scared about the trash in my pockets, that is filling the mic hole, but I am trying to clean it carefully
