im asking you why is this happening ?
the buttons are greyed out i created backup but when try to "prepare blocks for flashtool it says
--- Preparation of files for FlashTool is impossible, file isn't found : C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\MtkDroidTools v2.5.3\backups\i6_140930_backup_141030-115103\MT65??_Android_scatter*.txt

I have the same phone JY-G5S+, have you root it first ?
otherwise you can not backup it with MtkDroiTool.
If you want to root it, try the last version of VROOT (0.7.9 I think, google for it)
I have flash it with a wrong rom and I can not boot it now, if you can provide me please your original ROM it can help me a lot

Thank you, no warry for IMEI, I can change it with mine.
You can please upload only this files : preloader.bin, lk.bin, logo.bin, secro.img, recovery.img and boot.im (total, less than 45 MB).
If I can access with this the recovery, it must be OK.

I can go to the recovery Now
But I need now please the all files, because I can not go after the recovery, it freeze at the JIAYU logo
Note : I have use the scatter file I find in your post at a deutch forum

Did you find any ROM that we can use for that phone?
Not yet, I am waiting for our friend Gr4nDT3R0R.
You can already use the files he upload to revive your phone (you will get a good bootloader and a good recovery) and wait with me our saver

Good day, may I ask if i can choose what firmware to be downloaded. Some Custom ROM i saw require V10c firmware while i got V10e and is already rooted. Can I flash CWM and cyanogenmod7.2 by jst even if im using V10e or I still have to downgrade to V10c?

No no, you got me wrong. I am already rooted, the thing is can i Flash ClockworkMod Recovery and Custom ROMs like CM7.2, Dardroid 0 .3 in V10e Firmwares? Im confused because they require V10c and I got V10e.

Have you rooted P698 with Cusom ROM? Which one did you use? I have been thinking to get this phone but have been holding back because I don't see any community support/custom rom for it. Any suggestion?
Pls do no flash cwm or rom 7.2 by jst on ur p698 bcause it will brick it bt can still b rcovered though!

To root is a general thin. But to flash CWM rcovry and custm rom is still nt possible as no dvelopa has d interest of d device for now.

I cannot promise you it will work but you can flash p690 official kdz on your p698 and you can enjoy p690 mods.

I totally agree with you. DON'T DO CWM on P698. I brick it and replace one from shop.

Until now 5 handsets with JB 4.1.1 preinstalled I successfully rooted with same method

With recovery or root
First flash recovery with tool (better flash with complete stock room)
Replace stock recovery with cmw
Then copy su binary and superuser to your ext sd and install thru recovery

unable to flash recovery when i connect phone usindg sp flash tool detects phne nd then completes100% nd bar below become reds nd then 1303 eror something like verifical fail eror occurs
Try using the latest Sp flash tool on windows 32 bit windows

I tried it with windows 64 bit but it didn't work. So installed the 32 bit version of windows and tried it. This time the flasing was succesful.
U can try any version of 32 bit windows, or xp
Drivers are different for 64bit & 32bit
Install proper driver it work on both
Yesterday I buy 3 sets.. new.. with Jelly bean preinstalled..
these phone not rooted..

Go to the Alcatel one touch global website and download the Alcatel upgrade tool follow the instructions it will flash device with the latest ROM but you will loose all your data.

already checked it says that device supports otg but when I connect nothing happens even tried all apps that mounts USB otg but no luck I guess It requires kernel changes

As it is already ported you will not need mktdroid tools
If you want to install CWM on your q1000s then please follow below steps
1. Install framaroot
2. Root your mobile with framaroot
3. Install mobile uncle and install above recovery.img with the help of mobile uncle

From Play. None of the options is allowing to select a file
Got another Mobile uncle online and that is seeking recovery image on SDCard (?!?) ...
Is it that I need to create an SDCard in it? But how.. :-/

Thanks, did this and it seemed it worked too. It taken me too CWM recovery as well when I clicked the prompt of 'reboot in recovery?'

Thats inbuit Stock recovery restore script which is restoring Stock Recovery on reboot.
rename recovery-from-boot.p file to anyother name
Many people are joining xda on daily basis. Some of them join the forum to get custom ROMs while some join in order to get some of their problem that they are facing with their phones solved.
There are dedicated threads for ROMs but what about HELP/QUESTIONS??
People generally straight away start a new thread to get their doubts solved. But this can lead to chaos in the forum.
I'm creating this thread as an alternative to *New Threads* that aim to resolve a question.
Not only this, this thread can also become a Database kind of place where people can look if their question is already solved or not...
I request all members of the Xperia C sub-forum to help and answer some questions posted here if they can.

You need to make some changes in the focus mode...
AFAIK auto focus takes more time...

Can't read my sim cards at all
hello, someone brought me a C2305 from China, but it can't recognize any sim cards - either from Bell or Wind. What should I do? Is it possilble to flash it into frequencies that are usable in Canada?

I have a workaround. What I do is, keep the camera button (on the screen) pressed, which lets you focus, and when I have to click the picture, I just leave the button. So I keep the camera button pressed till then, I do I same thing when I am taking a selfie as well.

i have installed latest update on my xperia c using sony pc companion but my s1 boot version is 2.14.J.0.68..and i want to install cwm or twrp but they need latest s1 boot version can i update my xc using .ftf file can it cause any damage.

Dumping system-sign.sin
Guys i've tried a lot of things in order to extract the system-sign.sin file but unfortunately everything failed. I tried to extract it using flashtool but it gave me new file named system-sign.ext4. I even tried various tools to extract the .ext4 file but again failed. I can understand that it's signed and maybe thats what troubling me. So can u guys help me in getting the system folder extracted from the system-sign.sin

use android kitchen to extract it or use this tool ext4_unpacker & extract it.

Many of XC users have done that... It won't cause any harm if you follow the steps properly but the procedure is kinda cocky...

Memory Issue
Hello guys... as we all are aware about the memory issue of Xperia C. It has only 4 gb of internal storage out of which only 1 gb is available as Device Memory. It is not at all sufficient when you use more apps. besides I am facing some issues.. I have plenty of apps. but i moved all of them in SD card and i calculated its space in device memory it is like 550 mbs. still it shows that i have only around 85 mb of space remaining. Is there any way i can manage all this apps. i want to install more but i cant bcoz of such memory issues. any one found any solution please post . I had read somewhere about Link to Sd. i dnt kno what does that mean and how does it work but if any one can help me plz help. plz see the attached images below for more information.

You can use link2sd to link your app to sd card. Search GG for a detailed instruction Sr for my bad English.
