[Q] which custom rom should i choose for galaxy ace s5830

hello every one
i want to install a custom rom on my indian galaxy ace
still im on stock gingerbread ddkq8
which rom would be stable,fast,theming,and give me lot's of free ram and internal memory
1 stocklite v8
2 myth 2
3 miracle v4
4 miuixx
if any other rom you used and like pls suggest me.
and my second question does any custom rom lock my phone from service provider.

I prefer miracle coz its good and i used it....
and srry i dunno d ans. of d 2nd ques......

can i use 3g/gprs in this rom and if i dont like this rom would i be able to flash again with stock rom through odin. im running on stock gb ddkq8 but i have earlier version gb ddkq6 on my pc

As a former Galaxy Ace owner, I would prefer, Miracle / Apocalypse or any CM-based ROM. Use Amarullz script for internal memory expansion. :good:

could you tell me pls how much ram uses in miracle rom
can i flash any version of stock gb 2.3.4, or 2.3.6 after flashing custom rom
and will i get stock recovry aftr reflashing back to stock rom.

it uses between 133-148 RAM...

hello mate
today i read miracle instalation tutorial in xda
i found some stock application has been removed
i have stock gallery3d.apk, camera.apk, mms.apk
can i install these directly as every application or copy these and paste to system/app and change permition rw-r-r
will i get application icon into aplication drawer after copying apk file into system
will copy apk into system brick my phone.
if you know any other method of instaling stock application pls let me know

i can get this cwm5 from goole as well but many negative comments stop me to download from google

Hi Forum, My Tab 2 10.1 P5100 in 4.0.4 can´t connect via USB to any PC/MAC, put this point apart as I have tried everything on googling....my question is.......is there any way without computer that I can root or flash a custom recovery (CWM, TWRP,Philz) from the stock recovery?

Hi thanks for that, see if I understand, you mean that I go to the store and download the pay version of Rom Manager and form there I can install CWM recovery even not beign root on my Tab 2 10.1?

Nope.. U misunderstood it.. For root.. U can use mobile odin as suggested by other.. Afterdat.. U can installed cm recovery through rom manager.. Which can be downloaded from play store or Google it..

As per the information on the Google Play Store .... "Your device must be rooted to be able to use Mobile ODIN"

If you're not rooted, you can't install a custom ROM without a computer connection (ODIN for PC, Heimdall for Mac.)
Mobile Odin and ROM manager require a rooted device.

already checked it says that device supports otg but when I connect nothing happens even tried all apps that mounts USB otg but no luck I guess It requires kernel changes

I got MTKDROID v2.5.2, Can you please help letting me know how to use this on my XOLO Q1000s? A couple of pointers would do I guess.

As it is already ported you will not need mktdroid tools
If you want to install CWM on your q1000s then please follow below steps
1. Install framaroot
2. Root your mobile with framaroot
3. Install mobile uncle and install above recovery.img with the help of mobile uncle

Got another Mobile uncle online and that is seeking recovery image on SDCard (?!?) ...

Thanks, did this and it seemed it worked too. It taken me too CWM recovery as well when I clicked the prompt of 'reboot in recovery?'
But it never took me again there (but stock recovery) with Up Arrow + Power button combination. If I select boot in recovery in the MU menu, it takes to stock recovery.
Do we need to use MU every time, push img and then choose prompt to goto CWM?
Please help.

Thats inbuit Stock recovery restore script which is restoring Stock Recovery on reboot.

I present you first ever recovery ported for our micromax Canvas2.2 (A114).
i made few backups with it there was no error rest u will have to explore
as this is my first development for android.
if u find any bug we all including those have some knowledge of android will try to solve it as i am not so expert.
Download cwm 5.5
You can install it via mtk mobile uncle tool or flash by so flash tool.

I tried backing up the stock recovery using terminal emulator but for some reason it failed. Right now my pc is not working, I'll make a backup of stock recovery using adb as soon as my pc gets repaired..

the buttons are greyed out i created backup but when try to "prepare blocks for flashtool it says
--- Preparation of files for FlashTool is impossible, file isn't found : C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\MtkDroidTools v2.5.3\backups\i6_140930_backup_141030-115103\MT65??_Android_scatter*.txt
and the buttons are greyed out check that
and mtk droid tools not detecting full hardware

I have the same phone JY-G5S+, have you root it first ?
otherwise you can not backup it with MtkDroiTool.
If you want to root it, try the last version of VROOT (0.7.9 I think, google for it)
I have flash it with a wrong rom and I can not boot it now, if you can provide me please your original ROM it can help me a lot

man dont use vroot its backdoored -_-
i have slow net this month i will try to upload it
but i dont know if my imei works for you
its not 2 gb its 1 gb ram its not 2ghz its 1.3 ghz its not its 13 megapixel

Thank you, no warry for IMEI, I can change it with mine.
You can please upload only this files : preloader.bin, lk.bin, logo.bin, secro.img, recovery.img and boot.im (total, less than 45 MB).
If I can access with this the recovery, it must be OK.

But I need now please the all files, because I can not go after the recovery, it freeze at the JIAYU logo

Did you find any ROM that we can use for that phone?

Not yet, I am waiting for our friend Gr4nDT3R0R.
You can already use the files he upload to revive your phone (you will get a good bootloader and a good recovery) and wait with me our saver
