That's pretty vague. Do you know of it has a custom rom, a custom recovery?
Did you do anything before it reached that state?

yea i did everything i could it just wont load up anything i try anything possible but it wouldnt let me in plus i think is not brick it have something to do with the software.

I am having the same symptoms
Model:
TF101 B70 rooted with CWM, custom kernel, and custom ROM.
Symptoms:
Stuck at Eee Pad ASUS logo screen with no progress indicators
Cannot turn tablet off. I can reboot by holding down the power button or let its battery run down.
Cannot boot into APX mode. I have tried holding down Vol+, Vol-, and both buttons before, during, and after power button depressed for reboot. I have tried holding them down for 6, 15, 30, and many seconds.
Cannot boot into recovery
Possible causes:
First had trouble with a bad pre-flash wipe script which took me to where I am now
Troubleshooting steps tried:
Attempts at APX mode and recovery using methods above.
Removed bezel to rule out Vol or power button external switch problems
Stock charger died, so I spliced a 12V 1.5A line into the stock USB cable just in case the TF101 needed something higher voltage to function properly
Bought a new cable
Installed Universal Naked Drivers 0.72 into my Windows 8.1 box
Searched XDA, Transformer forums, and with Google across many other domains with very few hits on this symptom.
I have several computers running and any OS one could want for the USB side of the 40pin cable.

Just making sure, you guys are aware that the screen stays off in apx right? Have you tried to put it into apx while plugged in to the computer? Plug it in, and then hold volume up and power until the computer recognizes a new device.
jortony, what did you right when this started?

I was installing a new ROM which necessitated a wipe. I don't remember the name of the script I used, but I remember selecting the wrong option and rebooting mid wipe to try and prevent the wipe from starting. I wasn't able to recover it then and so I put it on my project shelf until I could get back to it. It's been there for a couple years and I am making one last attempt before I try something drastic like transplanting the flash from a broken TF101 or breaking it down for components... It would be such a waste..
I would love to be able to boot to APX mode, but I just can't get there. If you're near Chicago I'll buy you lunch and you can try your luck. =)

I'd love to take you up on that, but I'm in Alabama at the moment. What was the script supposed to wipe? Just a general prepare-for-new-rom wipe?

That's odd that it won't go into apx as the result of a wipe script. I was under the impression that apx was so deep in the system that it was pretty much untouchable. I would especially think some wipe script wouldn't be messing with apx. Are you absolutely sure you remember trying just plugging it into a computer and holding down power and vol + continuously? When you do this your computer didn't sense a device?

That, and also, do you have the APX drivers installed? I don't think UND covers that.

UND is supposed to cover apx. It did for me, but hey, what do I know. My TF101's essentially bricked right now!

Hey, I just want to thank everyone for troubleshooting this with me.
Just to start, isn't it possible to boot into APX mode without any computer attached? If this is the case, then I should be able to reach APX mode with or without the drivers correctly installed and configured. If it does require the computer to be set up properly, I am going to test this on a couple other machines in two days (hosting family Thanksgiving) with all the drivers I can find.
As for the wipe script, I would be surprised if that would be possible too, but if it didn't directly cause the problem it was coincidental and exceedingly likely to be a cause.
Though there are a couple other vectors for my woes: Incorrect power supply (i'm trickle charging on USB) to allow the tf101 to overcome some very low-level programmed switch enabling normal/debug functions; or, incorrect wiring for the my DIY power supply along my troubleshooting escapades which fried something, though I don't see evidence of internal power transformer death within the tf101 which would probably be characterized by periodic reboots, or just plain inky black death.

APX mode works without a PC, it's all on the TF101 (Vol up & power from a powered off state) nothing appears on the TF screen, only sign is the USB connect sound if you have it connected to the PC
UND are specifically for APX mode, but are not signed, so if you are running an OS later than Win 7, or a 64bit OS, you will need to disable driver signing from the F8 safemode boot options (Advanced boot, Win 8.x)
Or use Win 7 32bit

My bad, for some reason I remembered UND not working for me.
I'm guessing you are having trouble with APX mode because you are not able to turn off the tablet completely. Try this: when your tablet is stuck on the logo, press and hold down Volume Up and Power buttons until you see a black screen (release the buttons in 2-3 seconds after that), then connect it to your PC. You should see Asus Transformer APX Interface registered
If the tablet stays on the black screen but nothing is happening on the PC, follow *Detection*'s advice about driver signing.

I successfully disabled driver signing on my Windows 8.1 machine to install UND, but the APX mode is still my sticking point. I tried rebooting with Vol+ before, during, and after the screen turns off and the same with the power button, but that's not getting me into a black screen. I even tried discharging the battery completely to fully shut it down which did something new and interesting: The tablet booted to logo as usual, then the logo quickly disappeared leaving a blank screen but then rebooted again. This might have been the elusive APX mode coupled with an accidental reboot, but I only get to try it once every complete discharge, recharge, and first boot cycle. I am discharging again now to test this again.

Gtab wont turn on after NVflash

Hey guys I'm really in need of suggestions. I was going between the bottle of smoke roms and decieded to do a NVflash to the stock Gtab rom. After the stock flash my tablet just turned off and now doesnt come back on. I heard about the reset button (that didnt work) so I opened my tab up and I can see a green led come on inside the tab when i hit the power button but the screen still doesnt turn on. I also tired going into APX mode without but my PC doesnt detect the tab.....
Please help
no power up
Have you tried to drain the battery, leave unplugged for around 24 hrs, then plug in and try to NV flash again, remember apx is power button and volume down button, hope this helps
I had the same problem, turned out the tablet was already on in APX mode and all I had to do was connect it to the PC to nvflash again. It was strange, there was no indication that it was on otherwise even though I tried powering it off/on many times.
I had the same issue. It is most likely in APX mode. Not sure why, but with some NVFlash images I have seen the tablet seemingly get stuck in APX mode. Just try and flash with a known good image, or nvflash just clockwork and use that to restore a backup if available or flash a ROM.

which files did you use to nvflash???? you are probably just stuck in apx mode...plug in your tablet and listen for a usb device pluging into you computer to be sure that you are in apx mode.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Unfortunately I'm not able to see my tab with my PC. When I try to run the *.bat (for NVflash) my PC states there is nothing connected-
"USB device not foundPress enter to continue:"
I also tried unplugging the battery and leaving the tablet sit over night- no dice
The flash/img i used was the stock 1.2 build 4349. I even tired the format img http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=974422
For the guys that experienced this before did your screen show the viewsonic birds? Mine is totally blank almost like the tablet isnt coming on at all. The only signs of life is the green led inside of the tab coming on when I hit the power button.
Please keep the suggestions coming....... I'm having tablet withdraw and im back on a clunky laptop

+1 Check the USB driver. Sounds like it needs to be manually loaded.

Volume + Not Working?

I recently updated my TF to 8.6.5.19 Firmware With CWM & Root and I noticed my volume up is not working, the down works fine, I have tried rebooting, Factory Reset and still nothing. It worked fine when I did the update with CWM but now it just stopped. I am not sure if it is software or hardware, I tried rebooting into CWM and it will not work either. I also noticed the backing has separated from the bezel and you can see the rubbers around the volume keys, I have never noticed and issue before with the volume, the volume down seems soft to press as the volume up seems a little bit harder. I wanted to send it for RMA but It is rooted and I do not know how to unroot it. I was told by someone that ASUS will not fix it if you root the tablet. If anyone can let me know what I could do to fix it or maybe someway to reflash the update again or unroot it. I would greatly appreciate it.
A solution....
Well i guess not many people can help you if they dont get the hands on it. Usualy u cant find out if it works or not. Best way is plug it in your pc open properties on your computer and go to hardware and see if the APX activates this is how u can find out if it really work if not here you have a program to get directly to recovery ...

It works fine because i have tried it...
I have tried to get into APX mode many times but it does not work, it just starts the tablet, It is installed on my PC for I have used it before numerous times to install updates and to root it. The only option I can get is the volume down menu which I cannot select "Up" so it boots to the Wipe Data/Android screen. I want to RMA it but I cannot get anyone to let me know whether they will fix it if it is rooted.
This isn't going to help you much but I had an identical problem where the volume Up button stopped working. It was the impetus for me finally sending the unit in for repair - came back a month later with the volume up button functioning but the power button broken and the entire unit virtually unusable. This was a hardware repair as they did something to make the button feel totally different. Second RMA did fix things though.
Mine wasn't rooted though - way too many issues on this thing for me to risk the warranty. Good luck to you though.
Well I bought and downloaded the Asus Transformer Recovery Boot and it works like a charm for getting me into CWM but still no APX mode
Im sorry but i only want to help...
I insist please turn off your TF plug in usb to pc then turn it on pressin VOL + and START and go to mi pc properties hardware and u will see it goes in apx keep trieing it has to work sometimes it takes a little the screen on TF is black all the time just look at pc do it and wait count at least 8 seconds before letting loose the power bott and not more than 10 secs the VOL + if u do it wont work... TRUST ME ON THIS i have tried it on a TF 101 and a TF 3G both rooted now...

Surface RT stuck at surface screen - Normally an android guy

A co worker had her surface rt crash on updating and now its stuck at the booting surface screen.
I tried the steps I could find fiddling with the volume button and power button but it gets no where.
Honestly I have zero experience with these and normally use android.
Is there a way to connect this thing to a PC and push recovery files to it as it doesnt seem to want to see the recovery USB at all. It does know its there cause the power/reading light on the USB drive lights up.
Im trying another attempt at downloading and remaking the recovery USB just to see if I got a bad download but honestly wondering if this thing is toast. Just really trying to help them out cause it just ran out of warranty and MS wants to charge them 200$ to repair it.
Thanks
Hello there,
I would like to propose again this question, I summarize the problem of a Surface,
in my case a Surface 2 with Windows 8.1 RT stuck at the 'Surface Screen' and looping
in reboots alternating with the screen of 'preparing automatic repair', and then stuck.
If I reboot by holding down power button for 10 or 30 seconds, nothing changes and
the loop restarts by telling 'there is a problem screen', automatic reboot, 'Surface screen' and stuck.
I've tryed with 2 versions of the recovery image, an old one and one new, with two different
usb sticks. I've booted with "volume down" etc, the usb light flashes a couple of times but
the loop described above does not change.
Seems that many people out there suffer from the same problem, with almost all versions of the Surface, up to the Pro 4.
Many of them solved it with the usb recovery, but also a lot of them still have the same problem. Maybe we do something wrong
with the recovery files?
Any help is welcome, thanks for reading.
Try to keep the device on charge and leave it running for some hours, does it still stay stuck?
Hello Kephax,
I tried several times many strategies, even the one you suggested, nothing to do, always the same loop.
Hence I contacted Microsoft on 15th december, the support was very polite and efficient, in a week I was able to pack my device and give the pack to UPS. After 3 days, they returned me a new Surface2 for free.
I must say mine was only 6 months old, so warranty was still valid. On 24th december I was playing with the new device, so the whole procedure took 9 days. I am very happy.
However, I cannot say what was the fault of my Surface, a hardware problem or some updated went wrong? that's the question, I'm frightened that it was an update problem and that it can happen again to the new device. I can only guess it was a hardware problem because of the experience with the new device, less laggy, more fluid for graphics animations. Also the battery lasts longer.
I hope that this experience can help other user with same problem.
Best wishes for a happy new year,
dott_mat
Create a surface rt 8.1 bootable usb and boot from usb device.
If USB Device bootable, then first connect usb device, then press and hold vol down button, then press and release power button, when surface logo appears then release vol down button.
If all successful then surface will boot into recovery or directly boot from usb drive.

2 asus tf700 will not boot...only vibrate

I have to Asus tf700 that will not boot they were only vibrate when you push the on button. One is rooted with zombie and the other is stock I get a display on the rooted tablet on the monitor I have connected through HDMI and I am able to navigate on the tablet with the keypad attached. The other one stock unit I am NOT able to get a display on my monitor I have truck I have tried holding the on button and depressing the up and down volume keys no joy. I have tried pushing the manual reset button in the little hole on the side of the tablet. No joy. Is there anyone that can help me thank you in advance for your help.
I'd like to add that both tablets had their batteries drained and his condition appeared after I attempted to recharge them and start them up. Thanks again
Both of them started t do this at the same time???? Did you have power surge when you were charging them? Thunderstorms?
Very strange...
Anyway, if the rooted tablet boots normally and only the display is dead, it's exactly that: the backlight is out and you need a new screen.
The stock unit: Not much yoou can do with a locked bootloader. Can you get it into the bootloader menu with Power +Vol Down?
If not, there's not much more you can do. But you can cannibalize the sceen andput it into the rooted unit!

Restarts as soon as it enters recovery
Hi, my tablet froze last night and could not get out of the frozen screen, so I forced a restart , only to have it boot loop.If I try to go to recovery it just gets to the Twrp image and restarts again.
any help is appreciated.Unit cannot shut down and gets hot at the top left hand corner.Tried to hard reset using the side reset but to no avail.
Thanks.
This is happening a lot lately.... What rom and TWRP version are you running?
Check out the last few pages of the Katkiss Katshmallow thread. That's where we successfully solved this lately.
But I would really like to find out what's causing this. Can you try to access the tab in adb while it's looping in recovery?
Try to pull the recovery log and dmesg log.

Thank you for your attention.

Hey, I'm experiencing the same issue right now.
In my search I found this:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/as...216663-tf700t-now-won-t-turn-post2270270.html
I plugged it into my pc and after a short period, pressing the power button showed a battery icon in the red zone. so I'm going to leave it plugged in overnight.

Asus Tranformer TF103C problem

Hi everyone! This is my first post/thread that I do in this forum ...I'm italian, so forgive my english ... A my friend has an Asus Transformer TF103C which it doesn't work and I thought I can fix it.
The problem is: when I turn on the tablet, it shows the icon ASUS powered by android and stop, it remains in this screen for eternity.
I thought that if I'm able to enter in recovery mode, I can do a factory reset and see if it goes but I didn't succeed (or at maximum, root it and change the SO)...
I held pressed (volume-)+home, (volume+)+home but i didn't it. So I thought to enter in recovery mode by adb but my pc didn't relieve it.
In reality, when i attacched it at my pc for the first time, after a bit, it relieved it but when the tablet was fully charged, the pc didn't relieve it more.
So, I ask you: Is there a method to relieve the tablet from my pc when it is shut down? or how can i do in your opinion?
Thanks at all who answer me
EDIT: I left the tablet on so it loses a bit of energy for recharging it throw the pc and, after a bit, it connected with pc and i tried to go it in recovery mode( in fastboot too) but it return at the same screen... I don't know really what I have to do.
