I've got quite a few DVDs/Blu Rays that contain digital copies and would like them on my SD card as my phone only has 16GB of storage. To the best of my knowledge if I download them via the PlaysEverywhere app, I can't transfer them to my SD card? (my Z3 isn't rooted or anything like that). Is there anyway of downloading it and getting it on my SD card? From what I can see on Sony MediaGo, there's no way of importing the film using that

My pics & videos seem to have dissapeared from my SD card but it is still show it in the memory size,is there a way to recover the lost files?
Thanks.
if you have a sdcard reader for your pc you can use the same undelete programs that you can use on harddisks on the sd card
Which programs are these?
Thanks

I have been grappling with the problem of storage for a while. When I had a XDA II I was thinking of getting a CF USB Host card/Sleeve/Portable HD but stuck to SD cards. I had to return a 2GB SD card a while back and was going to replace it with a 4GB card when they became cheaper but I came across an interesting device that I think has solved my storage problem (until PDA's come with high-capacity HDs). It's a Vosonic VP 6230 http://www.vosonic.com/index.php?php_mode=spec&php_itemid=36 . It works like an image-tank but unlike other image tanks you can copy from the HD to a SD card. So if you are going on a trip you can copy say movies to the SD card when you want to watch them rather than having to bring along a laptop. It also plays music/videos/photos itself but's it's not a great media player. Also you can charge it through the USB cable. ~£240 for 80GB model.
I am considering buying a transformer and had a question about the sd card reader. I have heard that it doesn't work properly? I was hoping to put a 32gb sdhc card in this to store movies/music and the like, will I be able to?
It works fine.. just remember that unlike older version of android, Honeycomb does not let you move apps to sd card (but hey they tend to be really small) but you can use your SD card to store your music, photo, movies, comics stuff like that.
Hi guys
I'm going out of my mind trying to transfer my music collection on to the Xperia Z3.
I have a collection of roughly 15GB and have been attempting to transfer to a Sandisk 64GB micro SD card via both Sony Bridge for Mac and Android File Manager. The file transfers look to complete successfully and on the phone all songs look to be present too.
The issue comes when trying to play songs with both Walkman and Poweramp, a lot of the songs just skip through without playing at all and 50% of the songs that do play, all I hear is a portion of one specific song that sounds chopped up.
Does anyone have any idea what's happening and how I can get the whole music collection playing correctly on the Z3 as I did on my previous Z2?
Many thanks!
Can't you just copy and paste without the bridge software?
I copied music from my NAS to Z3 (to SDCard) using FileCommander and had no issues. Try wireless transfer if you can. I am also using a Sandisk 64GB card, the Extreme U3 version in my case.
If it's skipping without playing at all, it may be due to the files being corrupt/incomplete.
If all else fails try reformatting the card or maybe the card may have gone bad.

Thanks for the reply.
I have tried reformatting the card several times, using the 2 pieces of software I mentioned, Copying manually through a card reader into Macbook slot and none of those worked. I never had an issue with the Z2. Half of the songs skip as if they are corrupted, while the other half weirdly play the same chopped 20 seconds from the same 2 random songs before skipping.
I have managed to get somewhere finally by using the Sony Bridge software to transfer the songs over in blocks of up to 50 songs (there seems to be a limit before it all goes wrong again!) at a time and this looks to have worked, though will take a few sessions to get all the songs copied.
All very odd...
Is the card formatted as fat32? If it is the max it can write is 4gb probably that's why it gets corrupted. Gotta transfer in increments to avoid the 4 GB limit
The 4GB limit is per file not overall.
I've got a Xperia 5 II with 128GB of memory, and I'm trying to transfer my music from my Huawei P30 Pro to the SD card in the Xperia. The Xperia Transfer tool did a great job of moving my photos and videos to the Xperia's internal memory, then I moved those files to the SD card using the Files tool on the phone. My music, however, is a 140GB folder, so it won't fit on the phone's internal memory, and I can't find a way to tell the transfer tool to send the files straight to the SD card.
My P30 Pro has 512GB of internal memory, and no card. The only way I've found to transfer the files off of the P30 to my computer is using the Huawei PC app, but the transfer speed would require about 20h to move that data. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of a tool that would more efficiently transfer the files directly from the P30 Pro's internal memory to the SD card on the Xperia.
