I've got a Xperia 5 II with 128GB of memory, and I'm trying to transfer my music from my Huawei P30 Pro to the SD card in the Xperia. The Xperia Transfer tool did a great job of moving my photos and videos to the Xperia's internal memory, then I moved those files to the SD card using the Files tool on the phone. My music, however, is a 140GB folder, so it won't fit on the phone's internal memory, and I can't find a way to tell the transfer tool to send the files straight to the SD card.
My P30 Pro has 512GB of internal memory, and no card. The only way I've found to transfer the files off of the P30 to my computer is using the Huawei PC app, but the transfer speed would require about 20h to move that data. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of a tool that would more efficiently transfer the files directly from the P30 Pro's internal memory to the SD card on the Xperia.

if you have a sdcard reader for your pc you can use the same undelete programs that you can use on harddisks on the sd card
Which programs are these?

I've got quite a few DVDs/Blu Rays that contain digital copies and would like them on my SD card as my phone only has 16GB of storage. To the best of my knowledge if I download them via the PlaysEverywhere app, I can't transfer them to my SD card? (my Z3 isn't rooted or anything like that). Is there anyway of downloading it and getting it on my SD card? From what I can see on Sony MediaGo, there's no way of importing the film using that
I have an LG G5 with an external SD.
I don't use any cloud services (and I never will).
I'm thinking of buying a new phone but a lot of them don't seem to support an external SD.
On my G5 I can't write to the gallery pictures directory (DCIM) through the usb data cable, I have to take out the SD card.
I have a lot of pictures on the SD card that I would want to transfer.
Is the DCIM directory writeable on the Google Pixel3 XL?
If not, how to people transfer files?
Hello,
First of, I have been using MX Player Pro on all my phones since since release. I love the gesture controls, and am annoyed whenever an app forces me to use their inferior built-in video player
I was happy for the built in private folder, removing the need for an extra 3rd party locker app.
However the current implementation of the private folder seems to store all of the data in the internal storage. This is inconvenient, as I am using a Motorola g8 power with a very limited internal 64 GB memory, with an external SD card of 256 GB.
While in theory android allows for using the SD card as internal storage, this option is disabled on most phones because it can make the phone slower.
Similarily, my phone did not allow me to move the data of the app to the SDcard. (Not 100% sure, it might be that this just didn't increase the leftover space in the internal storage).
I would love to have a setting in the menu to store the data of the private on the SD card.
I totally second that. MxPlayer saves in root of Internal Memory in \MxPlayerPro\.private
Since all are videos, encrypted, they will take a lot of space, quickly filling the internal memory.
I have a Note 20 Ultra with 128gb, and my private folder is 60Gb of it
I tried just moving the folder to the SDCard in case that MX player would read it from there, but didnt work.
I need some help. I have a Motorola a03s I can't root. Don't have computer.
I do have an otg card reader and I have an SD card 32gb from my SanDisk sport clip go. I am trying to backup or clone my SD card.
I am trying to see if there is a partition managing tool I can use that does not require rooting my phone. Maybe one that isn't on the app store?
The card has a small hidden partition that I could see when I had my laptop that has the mp3 players operating system and then an open partition where you putsmusic and books.
I can see the music and books 30gb partition and access it to add and remove media..
What I can't do is have access to make a backup in some way of the hidden partition or clone it to a new card.
Any suggestions or help appreciated. Thanks
Do you actually have a laptop, or not?
Currently only phone. No longer have laptop. Phone, USB c card reader and SD cards only. I want to backup all of my music and books so if my card dies I can just swap the card to put it into a new player and go. This model the internal memory is all on the card. The operating system or whatever you would call it and on a secondary partition is where you keep the media.. if you dont copy both partitions then the player won't turn on.
