problems with quicksettings
flashed this last night and again just now both time quick settings will not work. the button is there but they will never show up. Only the notifications will pull down. any ideas? nevermind

I have been using motorola droid mini x1030 and I am unable to use 3G service. I am from Pakistan and when I try to install 3G service from my carrier, my device says this phone does not support 3G. I think this is by verizon so I should install the custom rom to make it international version.
I tried to change the network setting from GSM to UMTS and my signal and service gone.
Should I install this rom to unable 3G service?

Was able to get a logcat going for the 5ghz WiFi problem.
What happens is I can see the network, add it, then once I press connect it does nothing.
Some times it shows as Not in range.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ijr9stwk6f31jgj/5ghzwifi.txt?dl=0
Toward the middle and bottom is where most of the errors are displayed.
I repeatedly tried to connect even trying to toggle WiFi, set only to 5ghz, and forget and re-add the network.
Where you see it attempting to connect to "NETGEAR36-5G" is a network that just showed up (and I do not know the password) after attempting to connect to my network "GoldCat-5G".
Seems like it could be a wpa_supplicant problem not sending the password correctly? My router is set to WPA2 AES.

I flaahed port #102 to my Droid MAXX and I love the rom. Best one I've had so far. Excellent battery life and very smooth. Only issue I'm having is that my camera isn't working. Whenever I open the camera app, it freezes and says "Please restart camera". Am I the only one with this problem? I searched the thread and couldn't find any info on it.

Loading Snake's Venom 4.4.4 Moto X Port on the Droid Mini
I loaded this port on my Droid Mini last night and all went well. Topsnake you are the best. I found step 10 in your guide a little confusing. I ended up loading 4.4.4_Display_Tether_Patch__Build_102.zip and 4.4.4-XT1030_Patch_Build_102.zip. Is this correct?
One of the things I love about this project is that you keep improving it. So here is suggestion, including a readme with your install steps and a description of all the included files would be a real plus for those who are new to loading Android ROMs.
Again, thanks for all your hard work

#1 Thank you for the donation! You're fine the way you flashed it however mini users need only flash the mini patch.

Bluetooth not working
I did the snake's venom to my wife's and my droid maxx. It works great on my phone but on hers the bluetooth will work like 1 out of 100 times and then just cut off. It has worked flawlessly for over a year. Needless to say I am in the doghouse now cause "I broke her bluetooth". Please help. I have tried clearing, reseting, going back to 4.4.4 OTA then starting over and radio flash. I am at a loss.

Using Philz CWM instead of TWRP...
Do you think I'll be ok if I have Philz CWM instead of TWRP when installing this rom?

Here is how it went down. The phone was rooted on 4.4.2 and was that way since the pie root came out. Once the sunshine was available I unlocked both of our phones. I flashed your 102 build on both phones and from that point on her bluetooth was broke. Her phone worked 100% of the time on bluetooth before I upgraded. Irealized after the fact that I was supposed to put the phone on 4.4.4 ota BEFORE I flashed yours. I tried to go back to 4.4.2 but that does not work. I then went to 4.4.4 ota and let it completely boot and set up. Bluetooth wouldn't work on that either. I then went back to your build and still not working. I flashed a couple different basebands and it still doesn't work. When it does work it's for a very brief amount of time.

You need to get the most current stock 4.4.4 FXZ and flash that. Then come back to this. Report back

Sorry to say guys but the current build will be the last. I've moved to a new device. Both my maxx and ultra are on eBay.

Pretty sure it means make sure you're using the most recent stable recovery. Check with twrp or cwm before flashing. Sometimes outdated versions give off errors and can't flash.

Finally got this installed and it is a very nice ROM IMHO. Very much stock aosp there isn't a ton of feature like some of the other aosp ROMs but I really like the smoothness this ROM has to offer and everything works only bug I have is the speaker phone bug is present when in a call if I put on speaker phone I have to reboot to even get back in the dialer app.

Here are the logcats I promised from G+. This is on a clean flash, barebones. Nothing other then TItanium Backup, the loggers, and my favorite file manager added.
Logcat0 is the first time opening PA OTA. It times out and gives ROM not found error, then update not found error.
Logcat1 is the second time opening it, but this time it sees I could use the gapps. It does allow to download as well, yesterday it wouldn't. May have been my location at work (edit: see data issue below).
Logcat2 is me calling the phone, answering and checking all is well. Then I switch to speaker phone and all seems well. Then switch back to and it stays on speaker with no microphone action. I hang up, close the app. Reopen the dialer and its just a white screen. Then it turns black. Close the dialer and reopen with the same issue. Yesterday I thought it rebooted after. Today I confirmed it reboots shortly after. Couldn't pull a kmsg since there's no "/process/last_kmsg" file/location.
Also, after awhile data drops out and won't come back no matter what. Logcat3 is data turned off, then turned back on. This is after it being on and loosing it totally. Seen some USB state changed for this log, yet nothing was ever plugged in.
I also randomly get this simcard issue window shown but haven't been able to grab it.

Thanks for pulling these logs for the devs I am experiencing the same issues not only on this ROM but every Aosp ROM for us sprint users (the data issue). Hopefully they can solve the issues other than that this ROM is rock solid I'm not running it at this moment but much appreciated that you took the logs.

chromecast
Hello,
Have installed this great image on my p5110 and it run currently with no known issue.
Only I haven' t menu item "Cast screen" in cromecast.
So I installed "Dhollmen_Blobs_P5_20141012.zip" as described in #2
But still no menu item.
Any idea how I can get this menu item on my p5110?

My tablet has become very unstable - apps crashing, random reboots. Is anyone else experiencing issues? I think I will try going back a couple of builds. Do I just install older build on top of newer?
Edit: I installed the 11-3 build (over the 11-22) but my tablet is still klabooey. Should I have started from scratch? Any advice on how to troubleshoot? I haven't installed any new apps but regularly install updates so it could be anything.
Edit 2: It occurred to me that I recently started installing the latest blobs for the kernel. Could that be a problem?
Sent from my Naked Samsung SM-G900A
@sharonbw, try a full wipe (both system and data partitions), then install latest build, Gapps and the blobs, nothing else.
This should work
Thanks @Markox89. I did do a complete wipe including media and a clean install. Even without any apps installed it still didn't work (downloaded 3 times to be sure). I think my tablet must have something wrong with it. Anyway, I installed CM11-M12 and it's fine now except for a weird thing it's doing with the wallpaper - my selected wallpaper disappears and it flashes randomly between the default theme wallpaper and some blurry screen. I have to reboot to get it to stop. Messed up but oh well. Something I can live with. Will our tablet ever get a lollipop build or is it too old? I'd try flashing that for fun!

If you came straight from a ICS ROM, aybe you need to try the update bootloader thing from here: http://d-h.st/iYd (p5110) flash using ODIN. Cant hurt and worth a try.
Somewhere there is a guide/tutorial, cant seem to locate it, but it is here somewhere.

Ok cool. Was just a suggestion in case you came over from any ICS ROM. I know in those cases, it makes the screen glitchy and weird. Good Luck!
I've reclaimed this Q&A Thread from the Q&A Bot that auto-spawned it. I tried to make it look more like it was actually mine
I really hope that it will be used, especially for questions not related to development (e.g. questions about mods compatibility, kernels and general questions)
video in youtube app not working
After installing the 31.01.2015 update video in youtube stopped showing. It shows grey with glitchy squares instead. Installing dhollmen blobs did not help.
Locked out on ROM install
I have a P5113. I loaded Philz Touch recovery version 6.57.8 and then tried to load this ROM. Things have gone very badly. Despite having done a full wipe for a new ROM and a backup, something went wrong. New ROM zip (Jan. 31 build) will not load, nor will the backup. Philz Touch says I have lost root. Tablet stalls and loops at open screen and will not reboot. Managed to power off using Philz Touch power off feature. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I do have a Titanium backup as well, if I can get in to access it. Also hooking up to computer in download mode does not work. I would be forever grateful to anyone who can assist.
Update:
Okay, got things working again. I was trying to jump from ICS to Kitkat ROM and I think it was too big a jump. I loaded a CM 10.1.3 JB ROM and it loaded fine. I will try this Kitkat ROM after I get things running smoothly on 10.1.3.

Hi, I've just installed your latest build, but I have an issue with skype: when I try to make a call, the app exit without explanation... I've also installed fixes for camera and video playback. The ROM is very smooth and I really like it, but I really need skype too
EDIT:
Found a solution! If you use this modded version it works well without issues : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52085391&postcount=3404

I got the same issues with the YouTube app. I can't really say since what version... I'm now on 20150321, dirty flashed on my p5110. Any hints on how to solve this. If possible I would like to avoid wiping everything and doing a clean install...

FSTRIM on install
Powered by SuperSU
Notes:
Should update bootloader. It is attached as a ZIP file but is not flashable! You need to fastboot flash it. For those in windows I have batch file in there along with ADB and fastboot.
First boot is a loooooooooooong time! About 5 to 7 minutes!
You must be on TWRP 2.8.1.0+ for this ROM to Flash properly!
Troubleshooting
If you get no status bar reboot to recovery and clear all cache. If that doesnt work try flashing the factory image then flash TWRP again and then this ROM.
Getting Symlinks failed during install? Make sure /system is unchecked in TWRP mounts
Problems with internal storage? Look at THIS POST for fix by @freakzapster
Root not working right? Flash newer SuperSU by @Chainfire but play store update should be fine!

Let me know what you guys think... They changed some things around and I am "semi" anticipating problems. Obviously I had zero testing time beings I started on it as soon as I got out of work and upload it after a very minimal function test: Play Store, Hangouts, GPS, Maps and that was it.

Apart from updated binaries any other noticeable changes?

Normally me too , but I figured since it was only a minor update and I was already running the same stock 5.0.0 ROM I'd give it a try. Eveything seems fine so far. No issues at all yet.
Flashed ROM , works great. Ty scrosler
Edit: Sadly tons of 3rd party apps still haven't been updated for Lollipop even after almost 1 month since it was released. Minion Rush and Dead Trigger 2 still work like I have a 2009 device. It's the app's fault or Lollipop's hardware acceleration or memory management, but I am 80% sure that it's because those apps haven't been updated. They work fine for 2 seconds then another 2-3 seconds they go into slow motion mode and sadly I have to go back to KK until this is fixed
Dirty flashed over stock rooted 5.0.0... No issues... And no noticeable differences between both, so far.
Are there any problems if we use CWM instead of TWRP? I'm not a TWRP kid of guy...
Thanks.
So it looks like YouTube mediaplayer is fixed and (at last!) volume control on animated gifs in Instagram works properly (previously it was changing notifications level not media). Hopefully WiFi connection will be also stable but this needs a longer testing.
TY scrosler.
Ok, flashed one hour ago, maked the wipes and all pretty smooth here.
Scott youre the master! As always
Running perfect, but I didn't have a problem with 5.0 either.
If this fixes YouTube I'll be pleased as punch :thumbup:
Constant restarts were getting annoying

3/9/2015 - Paranoid Kernel for the D800
3/13/2015 - Back to Vanir, 3/13/2015 Kernel
Thanks:
Vanir for Kernel work
Chainfire for Root, SuperSU
Paranoid for GAPPS.
Thank you!! I am loving it!! You made my day!!
I am rather new to G2, and had been tinkering with root, recovery, custom roms, etc over the weekend, but was a little sad that there no lollipop roms yet, not even stock. Then this came up, and I had to try it.
I reverted my G2 back to D80010d (jelly bean), rooted (via ioroot), installed TWRP recovery (via freegee), and then did a clean install of this Cyanogenmod 12. Everything seems to be working great. System seems stable, all the apps work as they should, all the customizable options are working, and lollipop feels just smooth and clean to boot. Absolutely loving it!
Many many thanks!! This is a God-send!!
Thanks very much! Works like a charm. Everything is working on my D800.
Been running the 2/13/15 CM12 for the D802 with the B1akbird kernel and it's been really good as a daily driver. Will download this one and see how it goes. Thanks a lot.
I assume this is the SuperSU you are referring to, http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133.

Just a heads up, check out the LG G2 development and the G2 original development threads as many LP rom builds are posted there which are built for all G2 variants, including D800.
Sorry OP for pointing to other threads in yours, but I just want to ensure that those new to the G2 experience everything.

Thank you! Glad to know and excited to see there are many more options, like Vanir, Omni, Cloudy, etc. But if I'm not mistaken, it seems like the Cyanogenmod 12 in that forum has ceased development, stuck on Dec 27, 2014.
I'm very much loving this Cyanogenmode 12 for D800, so I do very much hope development of this rom will be kept up, hopefully becoming official like the Cy 11. I'm more than willing to donate to help too.
Thanks again to OP and bps119!

Day 3 and still working fine. Tried all of the others in the LG G2 forum, this one is the best lollipop to date.
Is anyone having issues with connecting their phone to their computer? I'm trying to access the USB connection menu on my phone and it just refreshes the Storage screen. The phone isn't even detected on the computer at all.

Try turning off USB debugging (turn off developer options), you should then be able to see your storage partition.
Working well for me so far! The other CM12 I couldnt get to work 100% for me but everything seems to be working well. Still installing all of my old stuff so I will post if some negatives popup.

Hi, i had downloaded everything on your list, but have some questions:
i'm on stock rom 4.4.2 d80020k rooted with TWRP, cant remember if i have a custom kernel (dont think so, any way to check out?), i'm good to flash it?
do i have to flash it like this: Cm12->SU->Gapps? or CM12->Restart,->SU->Restart, Gapps->done?
thanks on advance

The Kernel will be included in the CM12 Package, You will be upgrading to 5.0.2 so anything 4.4.2 related will not be there besides basebands, and bootloader.
Flash like this: CM12>Gapps>SU, then Restart. (I don't think the order matters after CM12, but thats what I recommend) :good:
Enjoy

801 updates? But, I have a D800.
Doesn't matter the method to me personally. I just wouldn't want to have to wipe her phone each time there is an update.
Working beautifully for her I might add!

First off I have no intention at all of taking over this project. Wanted to share this working build without hijacking someone elses thread. Based on the original work of @squid2 for Perry and @SeanStar for Owens I have fixed/tweaked a few things so you all can keep your devices running up to date and stable. It will work even after the taking latest stock ota updates or flashing the latest firmware. I'll keep this updated at least once a month until hopefully the original dev releases something better.
Known working:
Booting
Graphics and video playback
RIL
Connecting to GSM (not for XT1766 which is CDMA only) and CDMA networks, calls, and data (LTE, 3G) (Supporting US and Canada carriers only)
Fingerprint sensor (Sprint models don't have this)
Camera
Audio
WiFi
Sensors
GPS
FM Radio
Untested or possibly broken
CM Actions removed
Changelog:
Code:
11-17-2018-
-All audio now working.
-Fixed cdma data/LTE. Works on first boot without any additional fixes.
-Added missing firmware symlinks to fix data after latest stock radio updates.
-Added correct device specific power_profile.xml.
-Changed governor settings to closer reflect stock values and balance out performance and battery life.
-Probably a few other things I'm forgetting.
11-19-2018-
-FM Radio really fixed now

I'm not sure why. I'll take a look but I'm pretty sure all the FM radio stuff is in the qcom318-32 tree so I thought since it's working on my E4 plus it was on perry also. I had someone testing on perry who was also asking for that working and I was under the impression it was working, but I'll check it out asap.
Edit: I'm sorry. My testers didn't say anything and I just looked again and see what's wrong. I'll have another build up that should have it working in a few hrs or so. I apologize, I've got a baby coming on the 26th on the brain.

It's not supposed to be but I'll try to make it work. I'm making another build without all the CDMA LTE fixes and hopefully it will work. I'm not sure I even want to do this but I'll try. I don't get why people think a CDMA phone bought in the US will work on GSM. As soon as it's done and uploaded I'll post a link.

Thanks.
Also I have a issue on my current lineage 14.1 perry build that all call audio is through the speaker and is very loud.
Any idea for quick fixes? I checked the mixer_paths and other 2 xml files in /system/etc and they look right.
Any ideas?

My build posted in the op? If so, there is one audio file I can try adding. Actually, here's a zip you can try flashing.

If your running someone else's build which I'm pretty sure you are because I fixed that problem you'll need to flash the zip titled E4_audio_fix
