Just out of curiosity: is there a reason for CM Privacy Guard not being included in AOKP? Would love to see it in there...

CM Privacy Guard is not included in AOKP because AOKP is not CM.

What is the difference between this ROM you posted and this AOKP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462251 ??

This ROM is built more frequently from AOKP source than the official one.

I just asked because of this:
"CyanogenMod enabled"
Obviously not correct.

AOKP contains a lot of CM optimizations therefore it is "CyanogenMod enabled" as the site says. However, since I am not an AOKP dev this is not the appropriate thread to ask about features.

I did not request a feature from you. I just ask if you know why it's not integrated.

"Ask about features" != "request a feature"
The best answer I have is AOKP is not CM.

...
Take it easy. I won't ask again.
Btw. if I wanted to know why the sky is blue it's not a "feature request" to turn it green.

And because I did not choose the color of the sky I would not be the correct person to ask about said feature of the sky.

You said you would ask the devs... but edited it away... well, I don't mind. I'm happy with Mahdi. I used AOKP quite a long time and always wondered why... thought you would know. I'm sorry for asking you, I swear... ;D

The reason for the CM enabled on AOKP's site, is because AOKP uses CM's device trees, vendor blobs, etc. to build their ROMs. AOKP uses the more experimental branch, whereas CM tends to stick with stable. The "CM enabled" phrase is a way of acknowledging that AOKP would not be possible without CM...

How is it running?
Anyone give it a go?

I have switched back to stock for the time being, but the build I last ran was pretty solid. It's worth a try.

Yeah, basically true. I would have never ever ported it myself. There are only a few TWRP specific changes other than that nothing serious.

I'm asking because in the alpha CM 11 is not working, but I'll try though and gonna report back.
Also, since this ROM is highly based in CM I'm gonna make a dirty flash, what do you think?

I guess dirty flash is fine but dont count on it.
Well if the sdcard in CM iis not working it most likely will not as the device specific stuff is nearly identical to cm 11's.
Auto-rotate issue
So far this rom is great. Thanks for it. Just wanted to point out one issue though. Auto-rotate doesn't seem to work. My device is always stuck in landscape view no matter how I hold it.

I had the same problem with my private hack builds of CM (4.3) and Omni (4.4). Didn't investigate further yet.
So pleased to see this.... many thanks
EDIT: and more to the point... it saves me _having_ learn how to port and build Android ROMs - which I'd love to find some tinkering time to do. One day!

To make autorotate work you will need to add some changes to the framework. Have a look at the cm repository for the changes. I do it know if these changes have been ported to 4.4 yet.

Thanks for bringing OmniROM to the Tf700, I am really looking forward to testing this out soon! Do you think you could add Data2SD support to the kernel to help increase performance?

Device: HLTE // Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (LTE)
Welcome to AOKP for the HLTE aka Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (LTE)(Unified)!
These are UNofficial builds (pure AOKP with some cherry-picks of open commits for now) maintained by scar45.
This ROM is tested and working great, with exception to NFC, about the only non-functional component. Hopefully a fix will appear soon (this applies to multiple AOSP-based ROMs for the Note 3).
Many thanks to @ProTekk and CM for their assistance with bringing AOKP to this device!
» Installation is simple:
If coming from another ROM or another major AOKP version, wipe data in recovery
Make sure you're using the latest CWM or TWRP
Flash ROM
Flash Google Apps (GAPPS)
Reboot
» The latest Changelog is always found on the Download site by clicking on the "Changelog »" link.
» Downloads are found at aokp.co/unofficial-builds »

Man... Loving AOKP so far! Everything working as it should, except known bugs.
Just one question that annoys me... Why can't the lockscreen wallpaper have the right orientation. I mean... When you try to set it it switches to a square shape instead of a vertical one.
Am I clear? lol

You are coming in clear good sir! I have noticed this bug myself, however a lot of ROM Control is still a work-in-progress, hence AOKP for HLTE not being 'official' just yet. We're working on it, and if any fixes are made before an official build is released, I'll get another unofficial ready and post a quick update here.
Is there a setting for a circle battery icon? I did not see it anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Give it a shot. Go into dev settings and watch out for the morph feature. You can choose if you want to use exodus features, cm features or stock aosp features. 3 roms in one.
The rom is snappy as it is barebones. But I have this problem, Can't connect to camera. Some times it works fine (Camera).
By the way, used Google Camera.

I just found this camera fix on play store. Don't know, if it really works, I haven't installed it myself yet. Maybe you want to give it a try.
EDIT: was a bit curious, so I tried it out. For me it does not work, the app doesn't even open. So I guess this won't help.

The fix is via a commit (or more) that should be cherry-picked to be included in the build. Don't think that an app can solve the bug.

I really don't know. It was just that at some point, it was fixed in CM and some other CM based ROMs have picked it as well. But I don't know the commit(s) for that. I don't even remember when it was but it is some time ago, I think before even 5.1 was out. That camera/flashlight bug was since Android 5.0.x.

temasek's UNOFFICIAL CM13 BUILDS
These builds are based on CM-13.0 nightlies with features cherry-picked from many sources including AOSP, crDroid, OmniROM, SlimROM, LiquidSmooth, SpasilliumNexus, DirtyUnicorns, NamelessROM, AICP, Euphoria-OS, TeamBliss, PAC, etc. This is similar to a nightly from CM but has some extra goodies baked in.
Builds will strictly follow Temasek's upstream, I will not be making any changes. If you can't handle some things possible being broken, please don't use this and then complain to me for building it.
Clean InstallationDownload Temasek rom Build
Download Gapps [Optional]
Take Nandroid Backup via Recovery
Recommended- Full wipe and Factory reset
Format System, Data, Cache, Dalvik-cache and Clean Install the ROM
Flash ROM using recovery
Flash Gapps [Optional]
Reboot
Enjoy!

@hacksterkrishna Nice to see such good ROMs from you! Glad to see new devs stepping forward to work for taoshan. Good luck! :good: BTW I'm building Dirty Unicorns Marshmallow now for taoshan, this will probably be my last source built ROM.
Wow this ROM is awesome! Everything works without any problem, very great!!
But Auto Rotation doesn't work, anybody knows a fix for that?
Pls update this ROM regular! I love it

Taking a log of this bug is not that easy. First it only appears after few time after a new boot and then until you reboot and second its a CM bug, so it has to be fixed by @olivier...
Yeah the rom works great
And auto rotation works for me btw :fingers-crossed:

what the hell are you guys thinking? its a cm bug indeed but why you say "olivieer has to.fix" ... normally every rom "dev" should atleast TRY to fix it on his own.... so dont say always "olivier have to fix" ....

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

It's allowed on xda, dunno about du team as it's an unofficial build.
BTW, You don't have to order like that. There are bunch of unofficial du threads on xda.
