This is a testing build, issues expected.
I only cherry picked the multi window feature.

Thanks. What version of TWRP is it? Where are the KitKat gAPPS? I have the 8/2013 GAPPs for JB.

Hmmmmm interesting

I'm interested in testing this out I've heard good things about OmniRom.

Is microsd working?

It's a good starting point. And I already learned a lot from your code. But maybe there are, or will be, Omni-specific changes too (besides renaming some stuff).

Yeah, basically true. I would have never ever ported it myself. There are only a few TWRP specific changes other than that nothing serious.

I'm asking because in the alpha CM 11 is not working, but I'll try though and gonna report back.
Also, since this ROM is highly based in CM I'm gonna make a dirty flash, what do you think?

I guess dirty flash is fine but dont count on it.
Well if the sdcard in CM iis not working it most likely will not as the device specific stuff is nearly identical to cm 11's.

Auto-rotate issue
So far this rom is great. Thanks for it. Just wanted to point out one issue though. Auto-rotate doesn't seem to work. My device is always stuck in landscape view no matter how I hold it.

I had the same problem with my private hack builds of CM (4.3) and Omni (4.4). Didn't investigate further yet.

So pleased to see this.... many thanks
EDIT: and more to the point... it saves me _having_ learn how to port and build Android ROMs - which I'd love to find some tinkering time to do. One day!

To make autorotate work you will need to add some changes to the framework. Have a look at the cm repository for the changes. I do it know if these changes have been ported to 4.4 yet.

Thanks for bringing OmniROM to the Tf700, I am really looking forward to testing this out soon! Do you think you could add Data2SD support to the kernel to help increase performance?

What is King Kang?King Kang is essentially a hybrid ROM - its a mixture of AOKP, CyanogenMod, and ParanoidAndroid, bringing all their customizations to one rock solid and quick ROM. These numerous features combine to create a blend of features not seen anywhere else before. Make the user interface yours with this ROM. Change the DPI the ROM runs at, tweak the interface to your hearts content, while enjoying great battery life and stability. Never before have these features combined to create a ROM as feature-packed as King Kang. Credits for the features goes directly to the teams responsible - AOKP and CM for their respective work, and ParanoidAndroid for their wonderful DPI on-the-fly modifications. Without these teams, this ROM would not be possible.

Information
Some AOKP features power over the ParanoidAndroid ones. For example, in order to get Tablet UI, you first need to check the "Tablet UI" option in ROM Control, then change it to the desired mode in Paranoid Android, and then reboot.
This ROM began as a creation by DAGr8 for Android 4.0, ICS. It offered a simple AOKP + PA combination.
The ROM is currently being built 100% from source. The "team", a.k.a. people maintaining and adding features from other ROMs is currently myself and DAGr8. Without the other teams though, this ROM would be nothing.

No problem! While we're waiting: Does this include the stock kernel? Have you tested it with your build 3?
Thanks again!
EDIT: Your paypal button is broken
is there any reason you recommend TWRP over CWM? i have cwm and would prefer not to mess with flashing to twrp if i didn't have to. thanks!
This looks awesome, I will be using this, I love all of AOKPs features and now with PA's per-app DPI built in also and some great stuff from CM. I just wish I could use your kernel, will there be an update to that soon? I am on of the people that is experiencing constant reboots after flashing Build 3 of your kernel Build 2 worked though. Build 2 is very out dated though.

CWM has been known to randomly wipe our devices /sdcard partition. If you haven't had any issues with it though and you want to keep using it, thats fine. Just be aware that it may happen.

TF101 Specific
Basic dock functionality works, but special keys and dock battery not currently (and may never be) supported
My goal was to get a working build of RootBox for my TF101, since I use it on my other devices. Now that the environment is up and running, I decided to make it available to others
I will attempt to build and publish the nightlies on a regular basis, but be aware that I don't necessarily flash all of them myself. Use at your own risk

Cool one of my favorite Roms. Now I just need to figure out how to set up a build environment and try to build LiquidSmooth and we would have a nice set of Roms. Last time I tried to get it set up it failed at the same place and no matter what I did I could not get everything loaded. Not that I have any experience doing such things.
So, thanks for a cool ROM.

so....... to make it clear: the dock's special keys are not working and the dock's battery isn't working (not being recognized) too and never will?...... the dock's battery issue it's kind of a little drawback here, will give it a shot anyways...

Yes, unfortunately I was not able to get full support for the dock working. While it is not my intention to leave it broken, I cannot promise that I will ever figure it out.
My plan is to get the 4.3 builds working, once Bajee releases them, and then switch focus to fixing the dock. I hope to learn what I can from the other developers on this device, who were able to get the dock working in their ROMs, and apply it here.

v4.3 will be indeed a great build but once it has been well debugged by Bajee and it will take some time to achieve that for now, myself (and I'm sure many others) still prefer to have an v4.2.2 stable and perfected to have a good working base on the tf101, so my feeling is that v4.2 is the way to go hopefully fixing the dock battery :fingers-crossed: , BTW, does the GPS locks fine?...
Thanks for your commitment on this project @aerdman and to share it with all of us! :good:

Yea you're right, I'm getting this as well. I will make a note of this and investigate along with the dock support.
Camera relies on gallery (for stuff like photosphere)
Not surprised it isn't working without GAPPS.

this will me mine too
This Thread will be reserved for only the official releases.. I will be doing my own personal release with custom kernel and added features that are not included in official pa releases..
my personal pa releases will have
DarkUI (darkPA)
custom kernel
added features picked from other sources that I think are cool
.. and more info later
You can find my personal releases HERE IN THIS THREAD for other aosp and custom built roms from source for d800/801/802/803
I think it's pretty useless building 2 roms when they are both exactly the same except for the kernel.. I also provide a flashable kernel for your variant.. I will see how it all goes and decide what to do from here on.
I made it alittle different from CM for now. the device will be called LG-G2 not LG-D800 or LG-D803 .. I did it this way so that any d803 or d800 can flash each other's rom.. the only thing is u have to replace the boot.img of your carrier before flashing..
more news to come. thanks and enjoy
Downloading, thanks!

I liked this rom a lot, but how can we get knock off to work? I know on CM you install nova, would that be the same with this or does that mess up the launcher that's on there? sorry new to this stuff.

Working perfect so far here!
One thing that is bothering me and this may just be a change in a newer Play Store or something, but there is no "My Apps" under the menu any more in the Play store, you have to click on the top left store icon to get to My Apps. Can anyone report back if this has been the case in other roms with newest GAPPS or is this Rom/This Rom specific?
one thing I just noticed is the play store won't always connect
I keep getting bootloops
wiped cache,dalvik,system, data
flashed rom, gapps
boot,boot,boot,boot,boot
checked DL's
redownloaded
got same result
Am I just an idiot and cant get it to work or what?

ALL
The ROM is still in pre-nightly and by flashing it you are helping the pre-nightly Testing process
It may still have some bugs, spontaneously reboot, drain the battery faster or heat up a bit. The aim is to make it better and fix them.
If you find a bug and want to report it here please post a logcat (after it occurred) with a description of what you were doing at the time and the rough timing in the logcat to look at (these things get huge!).
You can also post a dmesg which is the kernel boot logs and can indicate issues with data corruption or hardware.
If you get a reboot then please post a last_kmsg from the /proc folder.
How to get a logcat
How to get useful logs
Thank you!!

Nice!
Wow!
Sweet!
Looking forward to this, keep it up!
when i set out to buy my tablet i looked closely at the tf300 explicitly because of the fact that it was supported by omni rom.
This is awesome.

What are the differences and/or advantages of this over the Zombi-Pop 5.1 B1? Will there be more updates, more often? So far, I love the ROM and the fact that it is so snappy!

Both are based off the same source.
Zombi will have extra tweaks applied as well as different kernels to try and will allow ROM2SD, DATA2SD, etc as well as the usual options in the installer.
If you like flashing the latest source build then go for omni - which may or may not be more stable depending upon what was done to it once it becomes a nightly but it should act as a more stable base

Am I missing something? Are there any other nightlies? When I click on the link, it still has 3/15/15 version. When I click on the changelog link, I get a black screen with menu at top that does not work. I'm using the latest Chrome with Windows 8.1

If you want to build this yourself, it's now possible easily with the Docker container. I added it and made a test build last night, see more here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59668062&postcount=5
There is a little funkiness going on with the play store. It crashes often but other than that, it's running pretty sweet!! Thanks.

Unfortunately I can't cause rom is semi-closed source and it's being built by a buildbot.
I can't believe no one tried it...is the One S community dead?

Give it a shot. Go into dev settings and watch out for the morph feature. You can choose if you want to use exodus features, cm features or stock aosp features. 3 roms in one.
The rom is snappy as it is barebones. But I have this problem, Can't connect to camera. Some times it works fine (Camera).
By the way, used Google Camera.

That is the general camera bug present in all LP ROMs. The CM fix for it may have not be included

I just found this camera fix on play store. Don't know, if it really works, I haven't installed it myself yet. Maybe you want to give it a try.
EDIT: was a bit curious, so I tried it out. For me it does not work, the app doesn't even open. So I guess this won't help.

The fix is via a commit (or more) that should be cherry-picked to be included in the build. Don't think that an app can solve the bug.

Thats pleasing to hear. Therefore, exodus is not recommended as daily driver as of now.
Btw, thank OP for the ROM and making it official, looking forward to use it after fix. Now back to RR latest.

I will say this to Dave. Have you tried morph mode?
@Rapier could you link mi this fix? Was it made in the device tree or in some other project?

I really don't know. It was just that at some point, it was fixed in CM and some other CM based ROMs have picked it as well. But I don't know the commit(s) for that. I don't even remember when it was but it is some time ago, I think before even 5.1 was out. That camera/flashlight bug was since Android 5.0.x.
