I had the same issue
Back-up the data on your watch to your phone, then do a factory reset on the watch. After restart, do restore. All the old notification are gone, and the open app button works. Good Luck

reset your smart watch press power button for 30 sec and restart your watch. search for new Bluetooth devices and pair from the begging with new code. Make sure that you have been installed smart watch app and smart connect app both on your device i hope this helps.
Hi Guys!
My camera app opens when i unlock my phone. This happens randomly, anybody with the same problem? If yes, any solution? It's very annoying.
Maybe you're accidently hitting the home button twice everytime you unlock it.

Yes, i have done it with the feature turnd on also and tried with power button and gestures but still have the problem. I have noticed something weird, when i lock the phone after like one second it turns on and then when i unlock it it goes to the camera app. Something triggers the camera app and i know it's not me. I have flashed the stock rom and rooted the phone and still have this problem! This is very frustrating! I dont know what else to do

Do you have any apps that might have triggered this behaviour. It's almost always a dogy app triggering it. Just a thought.

No, nothing that can be related to the camera. I dont have a lot of apps installed on my phone so it can't be that. It's indeed a very strange behaviour.
I have a similar problem. When I unlock the phone sometimes the camera will open. Sometimes dialer , messages, gallery, browser all kind of apps will open by it self. Normally happens with the finger print security turned on. Will try using notmal lock screen to see if it still happens
Just checking. You know if you swipe upd into the middle from the right bottom corner from the lock screen. It automatically unlocks to camera.
Does it happen when you swipe horizontally?
Seemingly out of the blue earlier today, both my home button and recent apps button stopped working properly. The home button works when the phone is locked to wake, and fingerprint sensor unlocks, but when the screen is on it is useless. The recent apps button lights up and vibrates when touched, but does nothing. Anyone else experience this problem?

A recently installed App must be causing this. Wipe the cache and if it doesn't help try in Safe mode.
Going to safe mode:
1. Power off the phone.
2. Hold the volume down button and then press the power button till the homescreen boots up.
If the issue doesn't happen in safe mode, try uninstalling the recent apps you have installed to save yourself from doing a factory reset.
Cheers:good:

Wiping the cache and safe mode didn't do it. I also went through the play store recently added/updated apps and removed them. That did not do anything either. So I ended up going through with a factory reset and that did the trick. The problem occurred around the time I installed a pair of apps from the Galaxy Apps store. I installed the Car Mode and the Soundboard apps. I went in an uninstalled them, but there may have been something extra installed with the Car Mode app that was still causing issues. In any event, thanks for the suggestions and to anyone in the future, just stay away from the Galaxy App store. We all know there really isn't anything worthwhile in there anyway.
Thanks for the help and suggestions.
I have the exact same problem right now! The home and revents button are useless. I installed car mode and deleted it because it didn't want to start on my galaxy sy edge+...
Just encountered the same problem with my S7, factory reset fixed it. For anyone else that encounters this problem and finds their way here: it was Car Mode that caused this problem, DO NOT INSTALL IT. Thank you for creating this thread.
Hi everyone,
So I noticed that some apps utilize a floating menu button (I think that's because the s6 doesn't have a dedicated menu button?) that appears like a circle with 3 dots on the screen wich you can move around.
However it appears to somehow be broken, as when I tap the button a menu appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears again, not giving enough time to do anything and of course rendering such an app useless.
I have tried a factory reset, but it didn't help.
Is there any way to fix this? (my device is not rooted)
I've seen that a few times and the way I understand it is if the app has any use of the 3 dot options it will allow you to use it, if not pressing it won't do anything. I've pressed it a few times in many apps but nothing happened.

In this case this particular app I am trying to use it with has the need for it, however when taping on the button the menu just shows up for a fraction of a second and then goes back down again, so I can't reach any setting at all.
The app I am using is called (Droidfish) and it's free in the play store, maybe you can try and see if it works for you?
Thanks

Is if Droidfish chess? I tried that one and when I tap the 3 dot menu it pops up the menu for half a second and then it just backups up again. Does not seem to work. Maybe it's just an issue with the app itself, not being properly developed to work with our phone?

Yes that's the one, and now I noticed that (chess for Android) also has the exact same problem.
The thing is that when I first bought the phone Droidfish worked just fine, it stopped working when I got an official ota update. I tried a factory reset, thinking maybe that would help, but no.
It happens to me too.
I thought it was the app -droidstats- and wrote to the developer.
Now I know it's a TouchWiz feature. ..

Hi
I installed the last update for my S2. But since the update finished and the clock rebooted my phone cannot connect to the S2 anymore. I rebooted the phone and the clock several times, but still no luck. I tried WIFI tethering and connected the clock with the phone tethering, but the gear app still cant connect.
Another problem is, that I cant open the settings on my watch, the settings button does nothing.
What is there else I could do ? Any hints ?
thanks
regards
Erich

Had the same problem.
I deleted the bluetooth pairing on my phone, rebooted both phone and watch and then paired them up again. It took about 3 or 4 mins of waiting on the "connecting to watch" screen and eventually it all connected.
As for not getting to the settings, I don't know. You may have to factory reset your watch.
.
Hi
Thanks for your reply.
I tried that too, deleting the pairing. Didn't work either. So I decided to do a factory reset via the home button, because settings didn't work.
So here is the way to do a hard reset:
* press home button as long as the message rebooting appears
* hit home button several times till a menu appears
* hit home button till the entry recovery is selected
* stay on home button till the reboot screen appears.
* wait till procedure is finished
After that factory reset I could connect again and set it up as it was.
regards
Erich

Glad you got it working, it was obviously a corrupt installation, thankfully I didn't have to factory reset mine!
