Random reboots after update - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've just applied the incremental update to my opo.
Since then I'm getting lots of random reboots. 3 a day that I'm aware of.
Anyone else getting this? Is there a fix?
The phone is totally stock and uprooted.

I've seen a few people mention this. Unless you know the cause you can't fix it. Have you looked at your last_kmseg?

Well there is an update.
I am livid.
My phone random rebooted today and on reboot factory reset itself. I have lost everything. SMS Whatsapp chats & photos and now need to spend 2 hours setting it up again.
Why are these muppets releasing updates that aren't stable???

My phone reboots randomly too on cm nightly stock kernel

Data keeps stalling

Hello, I have searched around but I haven't found anyone reporting this particular issue nor one similar enough to troubleshoot on my own based on those solutions.
I recently began noticing that I was experiencing an issue where data LTE/hspa appears connected, but no information is transmitted. If I put airplane mode off and then back on, data reconnects and all is fine until it happens again. This is occurring multiple times per day.
I am running cataclysm ROM with Franco #40 right now.
Any help would be much appreciated.

are you undervolted?
I did not attempt to undervolt so unless Franco is doing that automatically, which I am inclined to believe it is not, I do not believe so.

any issues with your provider?
Not that I am aware of, it's T mobile but I typically have very good-excellent LTE coverage.

I've seen it happen on occasion. The only thing I would suggest is trying stock to see if you can reproduce.

i have tmobile as well, and had that happening to me several weeks ago. it started happening suddenly, was like that for several weeks, and stopped happening just as sudden. i think it might be an issue with tmo, or something that they are doing. anyways, putting it in airplane mode then back always fixed it for me when it did happen.
Good to know. I will call them if it continues.

Also with t mobile and had this issue suddenly start about two weeks ago. Very annoying. I do the airplane mode trick to get it working. Where are you located? I'm in Sacramento, ca

no.
bars dont turn orange, and a connection is shown. data just stops flowing. turning on airplane mode then back fixes it every time.
Same thing
I am on Metro PCS (t-mobile) and have the same issue as others. Weird thing is I only noticed after activating a replacement Nexus 5 I just received. Can't say I remember seeing this so frequently on the original (wasn't paying as close of attention though).
Probably just something up with t-mobile. Might try reflashing the radios. My original Nexus 5 updated via OTAs where as the replacement came with the 4.4.2 stock image pre installed.

My nexus 5 is laggy.

The past week or so my phone has been noticeably laggy. I originally noticed while using Google keyboard. Then noticed occasional but frequent slow touch responsiveness issues. Performed a couple factory resets and even updated to 4.4.3 while continuing to see the problem. Has anyone else noticed issues? Are there any other fixes? Thanks for any tips or tricks.

You might want to try messing with CPU settings if you have root, (changing the governor, etc.), and see if that helps. If it doesn't, I would try a custom kernel like faux123's or franco kernel. If you don't want to try that, you might want to try and measure how much CPU the phone is using when its idle to help diagnose the issue.
I personally use stock 4.4.3 with faux123 kernel with the intillidemand governor and have no problems with lag.

If you do a factory reset and you're running the stock kernel and you haven't modified any system files and you don't have any user apps installed yet, that would sound like a hardware problem to me. If you have any user apps installed one of those might be the culprit. I'm running the stock kernel on 4.4.3 and performance is pretty damn good! And I haven't use a stock kernel in some time. Flashed the boot, radio and system images last night and everything is working fine. If you know how to flash the factory image you could try that, it can sometimes be more reliable than the results you get when doing the OTA. Otherwise... might need to do a RMA.

I've been using this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2633978 and stock kernel and I have no lag. I did have a little using stock odex rom from update.. Idk if your rooted & have recovery but if so try a rom.. I'm very pleased with the way this rom I'm on now feels. Its been great. Also not sure what all you have running app wise but reboot a few times a day may help..I'm quite sure you already know that..

Thanks for the help.
I am rooted with CWM. When I first noticed the issues I was on I believe Mahdi with with ROM kernel. I'm sure it's not the ROM since I use Mahdi quite a bit. Performed a few factory resets without resolve. Fastbooted 4.4.3. Without resolve. Unrooted and rerooted. Still lags. I don't recall a specific downloaded app that could have been the issue but did not Google recover this last reset and I think it may be better.
I'll post back after a bit.
Thanks again.

Perform a trim on your flash storage. Hopefully you know how to use adb.
adb shell
am broadcast -a android.intent.action.ACTION_IDLE_MAINTENANCE_START
exit
Wait 30 seconds to a minute.
adb logcat -d | grep -i fstrim
It should now tell you that it trimmed your storage. Reboot and pray that it helped.

GDocs freezing/rebooting

My Docs app occasionally either freezes or reboots the phone while typing. It has happened on multiple ROMs now, so I'm thinking that it is more than just a ROM issue. It has happened since 4.4.3. Anyone else experience this? Thanks!

Wifi stops working after a while but is still connected home network

Having an issue with the oneplus one where you go to pick it up and start browsing after it has been sitting around a while idling (not sure if the time matters, but it seems like after 1 hourish) and the wifi is still connected, but nothing works that needs data. It acts like it would if you had not internet connection. Toggling the wifi off and on will fix the issue and notifications and emails start pouring in.
I am on stock 38R rooted.
I have the same issue and others do as well. No one has an answer or solution. Supposed to have been reported on JIRA.

Oh that is unfortunate! I just received my OnePlus One yesterday and was having this issue. Was bummed out after finding out the wifi was flakey.
Was this always an issue or just recent with the 33R -> 38R update?
For me it started after the very first update. I just hope its fixed with the next one. I'm on 38r

Anyone else having random reboots after upgrading to lollipop? Online places say there is some app causing problems, but I've been steadily deleting apps and cant figure it out. Anyone had this before?

Factory resetting solved all of my lollipop issues. Just back everything up and reset then reload everything back on to the phone.
