Hello Folks ..
Today I Found One More Interesting Rom Working For Micromax Canvas 2 .
It's JellyBean 4.1.2
This is the Rom of ZOPO ZP950's. I Patched it With Cynus JB & Got it Boot on Our Phone.
Bugs:
It feels laggy
Download : UPDATE_4.1.2_MMX_A110 [CWM FLASHABLE]
Installation Instructions :
-Download Zip
-Copy to your sdcard
-Reboot to recovery
-Wipe/data factory reset
-wipe cache
-Select & install the zip file
-Reboot after it finishes installation

Not much of a difference.. but one major, i believe.
You can use one-finger gestures to expand/collapse notifications rather than two which is pretty much convenient.. Other than that, its much the same.
Anyways, kudos DEV! hope you come up with a bugless and fast ROM..

Since I'm fed up wit downloading all the app again as cwm is a bit buggy..plz don't forget to paste the link of this thread in the all roots thread...btw are the transition more fluent then the stock from? Asking this because our stock rom is very week when it cms to gpu related stuff like pop up player and transitions even a100 is better in this region

Could you please upload the ROM in a flashable zip? Preferably pre-rooted, deodexed and zipaligned.
And one more question, does the H/W buttons work or we have to use the on-screen buttons? And can they be disabled?

nice find, is it possible to check the version by pressing the 4.1.2 number in the "about phone" repeatedly ? the reason i am asking is some chinese phones have used fake ROMs with JB. do not take offence please

Even i also doubted on that & I checked build.prop & it's build finger-print before posting it here and it was 4.1.2...

Memory Leak Issue
In 4.1.2 has the memory leak issue is it fixed in this Custom ROM

Use custom KK recovery from here.
I prefer [CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch 6.57.9 - cwm 6.0.5.1.
(Internal sd-card refereed as sdcard00, external as sdcard01)
Download rom zip file.
Put into sd card.
Flash the desired recovery.
Boot into recovery.
BACKUP CURRENT ROM
Wipe for flash of new rom.
Or wipe data/system/delvic cache/cache.
Select Install From SD (Internal or External)
Select the zip file and Select YES
Reboot.
THINGS TOBE NOTED
First boot takes time 3-5 mins so be patient.
After the boot logo (boot logo may look as if its stucked)
blank screen is seen its not hanged.
wait until it boots.
Phone reboot once inbetween so dont worry.
If recovery ask to disable recovery flash just select NO otherwise init.d wont work.

Camera is best part... But looks like eats up more battery. A longer run on this may give a clear picture.
KitKat keyboard force closes only if you try swiping through keys.. Not a big issue..
Tried Google keyboard , works fine.

WiFi ,3g ,otg every thing works..
Lenovo launcher also supports themes.

No matter what, don't stop churning out ROMs for our device. I'm trying each and every ROM you are cooking up too. I guess lot of people use the ROMs but are time bound send in reviews. I'm sure everyone here truly appreciates the good work you do :highfive:

Actually, avi u r much faster, keep some time lag between two ports, so that end users may get sufficient time to enjoy the new port. Then u will get proper reviews.

Testing rom since last night, some issues I've found are:-
1. Rom is improperly rooted, superuser is not working
2. No space is available in /system
3. Poor network coverage reception
4. Charging battery icon in switched off mode is distorted.
5. No restart option in power menu.

Presently on this ROM...completed TIkTAk...

Proximity sensor range is low... camera is good (A not A+) but today scanned few doc...n result was nice for document... Animation when selecting something is good in look but making device 1% slow not more...chrome is bit slow but Firefox is fast but crash on some site......
Frankly speaking all the small small error are not bothering me...I'm enjoying the performance...it's quite good look n overall speed is very good....checking battery performance...

Want to ask one question... How to set speaker volume high in engineering mode...cause I'm setting it to 172 & 255 in this ROM but it's not giving any effect....actually in all KK I'm facing....if I'm not wrong I have setted 180 & 255 in Lenovo based JB ROM n that worked perfectly but in that ROM there was a problem of screen resolution... & after all other ROM this ROM has the value above 160 ( maximum capacity as per xolo official's) plz help n give the guidance... Thanks for good news about 6 more....

There is lot to say abt this rom, ur awesome bro, giving use a touch of ever types of ROM,
Feels nice, smooth and beautiful, there r few prblms with DPI and UI but good to use,

good rom..brings something new to this phone..a few notes:
-launcher is a bit slow,not on apps but in transitions..nothing big, just replace it with Nova or other at your choice.
-lenovo camera not working..i ve replaced for stock camera and also tried google camera..works fine.
-gestures as all of us know doesnt work..no custom kernel, so disable it.
-antutu score is 18550 so at normal level
-initd scripts are too much again..i ve seen this on all roms..same init d scripts are used..no need. @avi320 just use 2 or 3 init scripts like sd boost to 1024kb and 1 or 2 more..its enough.:good:
-until now no FC, great UI..
-great video app.

@smokerman, i'd like to draw your attention to post #10 and post #13 in this thread.
can you check if that onandroid backup script works for you? if it does, please mention 'on which rom'.
maybe you have some suggestions to make it work on [custom kk rom] deodexed s005 rom. :fingers-crossed:

@m0han I dont have a xolo..i have a BQ 5.7 clone of this..for me all backups running fine with philz recovery with xolo firmware..strangely on bq firmware it doesnt work good..i cant restore a backup 100%..why do you want to run that recovery? use philz recovery and backup..copy to your desktop or upload it on cloud..i will try to see what is happening with that online recovery..are you using bq or xolo firmware?

i'm using bq firmware on xolo hardware with twrp v2.8.0.0 recovery by avi3230 currently.
the reason i run onandroid backup is i can take a full nandroid backup while the device is on.

i understand the first reason..the TWRP is for xolo..different in partitions than BQ..maybe thats why you are having problems..no need to have TWRP just because philz dont use CWM anymore..for us this PHILZ recovery is fine..we dont need more cause is working flawless in BQ with xolo firmware..anyway i will try to find a solution for onandroid backup .

did you mean twrp v2.8.1.0? both the earlier releases for xolo (twrp v2.8.0.0 and twrp v2.7.1.0) work fine.
well, "i 'sp-flash'ed (firmware upgrade) kk stock rom of xolo q3000 and then 'sp-flash'ed twrp v2.8.1.0."
still, twrp v2.8.1.0 would not work." i tend to think there's more to it than meets the eye.
anyway, if you can find a solution for onandroid backup, i'd be most happy.

use twrp v2.8.0.0..dont need to change recovery as that one works 100%.:good:
if i find a solution for the other backup i will give it to you.

im a fan on coloros rom..i ve ported it for galaxy s2 and its amazing..althoug my version was 4.2.1 with stamina mode and other coloros OS tweaks..great work my friend..i sure must try this rom.

system does not starts....it only restarts every time....almost 15 times it has been restarted till now....waiting for first boot....

There is a upload error with the rom, as i give all files to upload to my friend because of my lightening fast internet speed.
Currently i am on BQ rom and making kernel from source which maybe useful to make cm for xolo.
Already i have TWRP 2.8.1.0 made by XDA member.
I will definatly cure the error with least possible download means a patch to flash after rom, as most of u downloaded the rom already.
As I am busy with this give me some time of 2-3 days to get a conclusion and upload a patch or whole rom.

i believe in avi320 and i like his work..but as fellow developer i never release a rom without testing..thats why i asked..but now i know that is upload error and not him..just like this rom is one of my favourites (i ve released a v2 for galaxy s2 http://smokermanxda.blogspot.pt/2014/07/coloros-20-android-422.html.
@avi320 are you in a BQ ROM wich one? stock kitkat? it works fine on your xolo? how is the partitions? it makes 16gb with 13 gb available like in my BQ 5.7? I d like to work on a customized kernel with a few more governors and with the partitions solved but we have so few users with this phone..it seems not worth it to work on it.
another problem is that your ported roms in our BQ doesnt recognize DUAL SIM..only 1 SIM..look at build props:

Hello Sir,
I flashed BQ stock ROM, have a builded kernel from BQ source.
BQ and xolo are clones. We can use any stock rom just need to flash whole rom with sp tools.
Yes there is partition problem - it shows only one partition phone storage as 13gb.
Its the main reason kernel not working in xolo roms as partition table is different - we are trying to solve the problem by making changes in kernel.
It is as u said number of users are less and those who use dont respond much- lets see how far we can go - if kernel boots in xolo.
If u willing to experiment just try this - (already sent a PM to charlie_1988 on HTCmania but he not yet responded.)

backup current rom
flash my any kitkat rom

The confusion between me and uploader cost this trouble.
I am sorry for the inconvenience caused because of the miscommunication between me and my friend.
I tried my level best and no one has to download the rom again if u follow the steps given in this post.

seems there is bug in messaging while adding contacts to send message.
and wifi and bt switch icon is too large..
Rest all is awesome.

every time i am going to install the rom it is being installed in few seconds but after flashing there is no sign of new rom,,,,wht to do???

As much I like and appreciate your hard work and updates, it's useless to us, laymen, when your procedures and instructions are so complex and direct. Like the beginning of your procedure, 'Replace boot.img'. How to replace it, where to replace etc. Please make it clear once and you can 'QUOTE' it next time....A concerned Iris X1 user.

Nope, not working. I replaced Boot.img and repacked the zip. Followed your steps but ended up with factory reset

bro first of all thanks for msking all these roms for lava iris x1 ..but im not able to flash ur roms...
I request u if u plz tell me how to extract boot image...
I tried to get boot image from my rom backup...
Made zip file and tried to flash it ..
But it was not working..

No MIUI ROM
Previously i have installed the materiox rom now i have tried this one but it still showing the materio rom instead of MIUI

i replaced my backuped boot.img into the zip and wiped data,cache,dalvik cache and also installed zip from sd card,after rebooting it shows android is upgrading and after, my same lollipop is coming and i already installed a custom android lollipop ROM for my iris x1 from xda developers.pls help me out

I tried to flash the zip. But it is saying android is upgrading nd the flashin process takes a tme not even a min. But it says installation zip s complete. After rebooting im geting the same lollipop rom. Pls help me out
