Hey guys,
New to the forum bit have been reading on here for a while now.
As from the thread title, you can see I have an S4 mini 3g (i9190)
Well yesterday I finally got the guts to root my phone and it was successful, using your guide on xda (thanks a lot) but now I'm looking into installing CM on my phone.
The thing is I am a little bit afraid that I might screw up the whole thing.
What is the risk of bricking/breaking my phone when trying to install a custom ROM?
I found the guide on xda on installing CM on my phone here on xda, just concerned I screw up.
And I also would like to know if ROM manager is any good at loading ROMs or is it more risky?
Thanks a lot

Ok guys so I hate this phone, I've never wanted to punt a phone up until now, It freezes, crashes, and is extremely annoying but I thought hey maybe if I root it and install a custom rom it make my experience with this phone much better since that's how it went with my G2. I know there are plenty of roms and root instructions out there I was wondering if could get some suggestions or recommendations.
So here is my question, rooting, I found this pretty neat one click roo for this phone, do you guys suggest it? Or is there a better way of doing it?
Second question, I've seen a rom for this phone called RAGE and that's it would you guys be able to suggest a great rom for this phone?
I've only ever rooted the G2 and used CM rom, so ima little new to the rootng world.
Thank you guys so much in advace!!

Hi I have a question concerning getting CWM installed on my RCA 7 inch tablet (RTC6272W23). It is a ROCKCHIP based device (RK3066). itis on 4.2.2. I ffound something on this website, but being new to all this stuff I was not sure if this applied to my tablet or not. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102679. I was wondering if looks like it applied to mine or not? I only need to install CWM so I can make a complete backup of the stock ROM, I will not be using it for custom Roms. I am rooted. Thanks in advance.
Hello
Man not to be an ass or anything but everywhere I look on line all I see is how this website is so great, but I have ask questions on two different tablet on here, and no one even replies. Hey got a lot of people looking at the question. I rate this site at minus 5 stars so far
It think it can be applied to your tab... Problems are ignorable and won't cause any disturbance..
To be on safer side make sure u have backups and stock rom available

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum but have been around the block a few times when it comes to software development, albeit not at a hardware level. I've got a couple old Android phones that I'm looking to root and play around with, but I'm having some trouble with the vernacular. The first device I'm trying is the newest of the old lot, a Nexus S (crespo).
I'm trying to install the "Guru" kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexu...-guru-t2783561), but can't see how <4MB would be a complete system image. Does this kernel just reflect a patch that should be applied to the CM ROM, and if so, which one? I've rooted the phone using SuperOneClick but don't know where to go from here.
Thanks for helping this noob out, guys and gals. Cheers from Australia!
Hi everyone,
This morning I have rooted my s5 mini for the first time. I wanted to root my device because I don't like the TouchWiz-interface and wanted another ROM on my device. I've been looking for a ROM, but I don't find one. I don't understand why there are no ROM's for such a popular device. It's the first time I'm working with ROM's, so if you answser, please hold it a little bit noob-friendly .
Thanks,
JannesVD

There are no ROMs because the device is still new and it takes a while for devs to even reach an experimental stage for ROMs on such a new device.
Be patient as there should be some nightly ROMs coming out very soon
Hi to everyone, I'm just new here and I am not a developer or anything, I only wanted to ask for some help to anyone out there who also facing the same problem as mine and got solved if ever.. Recently I just got this smartphone from cherry mobile (Cherry Mobile Life 2.0) a chip phone which I can say atleast good at daily usage, when i have decided to root it because i have read so many blog telling that rooting your smartphone brings out the full capacity and customization to your phone, luckily i find some way to root my device using some specific software called "KingRoot" but when i decided to go for installing and using custom rom (if ever theres some custom rom for this device) i found nothing, ive searched the web over and over and yet I cant find anything, hope you could help me guys.. sorry for my bad english and thanks in advance for the help..
Still porting.
I'm still working to port CWM on that phone. Since I'm also working as a CE. By the way, I think I was the first one to post the rooting for that phone in Symbianize and Pinoyden #leejinhee #keivinlee
