[Q] Remotely Turn on GPS To Track Lost Redmi URGENT - General Questions and Answers

Ok, so my phone was recently stolen. It's a Redmi 1S. Location settings are off but has internet connection. Whatsapp is still active on the phone as well as the google account.
I'm able to access some features like remote lock through Android Device Manager.
I find it strange that the phone has not been resetted and the account removed yet, but I was able to lock the phone.
I was able to remotely lock the phone using ADM and I also had the idea of using the browser play store to install an app whenever it connects to the internet.
But, the location settings are off so I am unable to locate it.. is there any way to enable the setting remotely? If I am able to remote lock should there not be a way to turn on GPS remotely?
Is there any app that would turn on GPS as soon as it is installed? That might help...
Looking forward to a few quick and helpful answers..

Impossible. The phone should be connected to a network and the GPS should be ON too... to be able to track the device. If your phone have both hardware for GPS and network connection and your phone is rooted, then u may be able to ON GPS and Network by a sms and track it further.
Avast Antitheft app on rooted devices can track the devices once we report the phone as stolen, following the above method

How about only with GPS?
Any One??please someone help me.
An app that can trace my phone using GPS.
Sorry to tell you, there is nothing you can do with out these
Data Connection, and they are still logged into your google account, other wise you would have to go the route of hacking, and Even then the person needs to be connected via a data connection else they would have to hack into a major cell phone company's system.
No one here is going to help you hack into any systems to help you recover your phone so Your only hope is they are still logged into your account and Data is enabled.
and if they are still using your phone to make calls then they are 1 dumb and 2 you should be talking to your carrier about them helping u find it.

So please help me to find a solution to this problem! Is it possible?

try googles device manager app. itll still show location, but not exact location with your gps off. plus you can ring your phone anywhere, wipe your phone from anywhere, and put a message to have the person who finds it call you.

Is there a way to force the GPS on from Google Device Manager remotely?

Hey all, unfortunately I lost my OPO last night. I was able to get to the Google Device Manager on my PC and lock it with a message, but I didn't have my GPS on so I can't locate it. I didn't see the option, so I guess this is a last attempt at having hope, but is there a way to force it on?
I dont see any to do it if gps wasnt on , maybe if you had a local hotspot in your wifi list but youd have to know that address , i dont know if it can be down from there either

Best Android GPS Location Tracking App?

Hey there,
I am trying to find a Location Tracking App for my android (Samsung Galaxy S6) to be able to find the location in case the phone gets lost.
Which App is best for localizing via GPS and/or mobile data connection?
Would it be able to let the app run in the background continuously? (and hide it in the app draw)
Could you move the app to the system app folder, so it won't get removed by a data wipe?
And is it possible to send SMS commands to the phone to turn on the mobile data connection and/or GPS?
Can you hide the turn off menu (that appears when you hold the power button while being on the lock screen) ?
Lots of questions, there might be an easier solution but i'm looking forward to getting help

Family Link doesn't allow enabling location

Hey guise, I've set up my daughter with a Google account and her phone has the Family Link app. Now she wants to use GPS on the phone, but Family Link denies every attempt to enable location on the device.
The phone runs Android 9 and I've updated the parental control app to the latest version. I've tried enabling location sharing but that didn't work either.
Any idea?
Turned out to be an antenna problem. There's too little signal for the device to get a fix on its position.
