Hi guys,
I want to root my OPO, but I need a little help about proceeding after rooting.
Can someone leave suggestions for ROM and custom Kernel?

If I root my phone and stay on this factory CM, will I receive OTA updates?
Yes, as long as you're running CM11S you'll still get OTA updates.

Hi,
I'm using a nexus 5 and have rooted and put on franko kernel.
The new android update has come out and i'd like to download it but I'm not sure whether I need to roll back the kernel to stock?
If I do, is anyone able to point me to a relevant article? Anyone know where to get the stock kernel?
Advice appreciated.
Thanks,
S.

Hey all,
I'm finally updating to 5.0 but I'm rather confused since I couldn't find answers to my questions.
My phone is rooted and I'm running a 4.4.2 rom. I'm looking to flash a 5.0 custom rom.
1. I'm coming from a 4.4 rom called purity. Is there any special procedure I have to do before flashing to a 5.0 custom rom? I know some phones need to flash additional files like a radio but I'm not sure if it's the case with the Nexus 5.
2. Do I have to flash a new bootloader? Or will flashing a custom 5.0 rom update the bootloader for me ?
Thanks and much appreciated.
Bump. Any help is appreciated.

1. No, you can use any radio as long as it's one for the Nexus 5.
2. No, but its recommended to update the bootloader anyways.

First rule of XDA is "search before posting"
This exact question has been asked and answered recently, so no need to create your own thread
Hi,
May I ask why you'd like to revert before you revert?
I had issues but solved them, so now I see no point in reverting.

Hey guys. I am curious as how we can currently root the AT&T LG G3 on the D85020L software and how to install TWRP as well. I had previously done that on KitKat but I had decided to go back to stock because of CM12 bugs. However, I am looking to do it again, and I want to know how to properly do it. Thanks. Btw, does AutoRec still work on this build?

Hi,
Ive had the OPO for over a year. Im wondering if i should root and install a custom rom. Are there real benefits in performance and stability? Is it a must to root it?
Thanks.
Stock ROMs are stable enough, customs are too, performance is of course better with aftermarket kernels, custom ROMs have more features, yes it is necessary to root and unlock bootloader for that kind of stuff. Root isn't necessary but unlocked bootloader is

Well I'm now on COS13 I don't have root and I think I don't need it
Everything works great

With sultan's ROM you can't do anything wrong. It's know to have very good camera quality and very good battery usage
