Hi everyone this is my first post so please be nice.
I am currently trying to connect my G900I to Nvtools. But i wont connect, i have been trying to find out why by searing but cant seem to find it, and am now tired as i have been trying to fix it for many hours.
I have rooted the phone and there is no tasks running in the background to block access to nv tools or nv-read write. But both programs wont connect, they can see the phone in usb menu.
Also my usb settings are: USB:AP USB settings: dm+modem+adb. also debugging is on.
I am out of ideas please if you have any sugestions leave a comment.
thanks you

Hello,
I am having an ultra weird issue with the usb to pc connection settings in my windows mobile phone. I am using the TPC Elite series ROM with an HTC TyTn II. A while ago I used my phone as a modem cuz I needed internet. Ever since then I have been unable to connect to my phone via activesyns.
I know I gotta click on the usb to pc icon in the settings section of the phone to change this BUT every time I click on this thing it just loads internet connection sharing by default. When I close the program I see the settings dialog for a split second until I get sent back to the previous screen.
I have tried looking on google for a possible solution and browsed the forum a bit but was unable to find a solution.
Please please please help me as this problem drives me insane.
Try uninstalling activesync and deleting partnership, then reinstall again.
Hope it helps,
Its been several years since I have used QPST for anything (samsung instinct?) so I am basically green with it again. I have been trying to get it to connect to my GS5 to try to push a custom PRL but i cant get to to show an ESN. I can connect to a samsung USB port, but it just shows 'no phone' and 'no ESN' after I add the port. I cant seem to find any sort of diagnostic mode or setting that will talk to it.
I have tried USB debugging, searching through the debugging and data programming menus, connecting while in recovery mode (still looking for a driver that will work), but nothing works so far. I have also tried forcing it to a debugging mode in QPST but it doesnt change anything.
Any ideas from someone more familiar with QPST?
Also if someone can figure out a way to get access to OMADM Hidden Menu that would simplify all of this. Appearantly access has been denied on the S5 where it was wide open on the S4. I might try pushing the S4 apk onto the S5 and see if i can screw anything up
ok so i found out how to get it into diagnostic mode but now i cant seem to find drivers for qualcomm diagnostic mode. anyone know where i can get them?
samsung drivers arent working when i put it in diagnositic mode unfortunately
Try this,
from your dialer, type ##3424#.
Then select Qualcomm USB settings and choose DM+Modem+ADB.
How do you connect the Galaxy S5 to QPST? I need to read the profiles and get the NAI, HA, AAA etc.
Thanks
Ok, after searching quite a bit, there doesn't seem to be any way of configuring usb diagnostic mode (sys.usb.config diag, adb) in CM12/PA 5.0.2. I've tried several times, and the closest I get is adb working and the diag port either constantly turns on and off, or doesn't read at all. I'm thinking it might be due to the fact that I can't seem to fully shut off mtp in storage. It only turns off (meaning the screen to switch doesn't open) after I issue the diag, adb command. I'm not sure, but I'm leaning towards this being some sort of new setting for Lollipop, which, if so, I guess I can try writing a script that might allow diag access. But, if anyone has any insight into this, please let me know. Thanks for reading.

Shameless bump is shameless. For shame...
Hello, did you find something out?
I'm looking for a solution too. I think we are screwed until there is an OS update that fixes it

hi guys...
any news from diag mode for CM12..?
Hello everyone,
First and foremost, please forgive me if an answer to this has already been posted somewhere; I have searched several different forums extensively, and while I have found several similar problems, I have tried their solutions and come up empty-handed. Here's my dilemma:
1. My phone simply refuses to be detected/recognized by my PC via USB connection, through Kies/Odin/Windows Explorer, though I can be detected and connect through AirDroid.
2. I have updated my Samsung USB Drivers for Mobile Phones, and reinstalled those drivers multiple times.
3. I have tried multiple different USB cords, as well as multiple different USB ports.
4. I have been successful in connecting my wife's Note 1 to my PC.
5. I have tried dialing the "*#0808#" code into the dialer, and it always tells me that the signal is weak.
6. I have done a factory reset, both through the settings menu and through the recovery mode.
7. After having done the factory reset, I have been able to get the phone to download updates, but when the phone tries to install them, it only gets to 25% every time and then shows "Error", after which it tells me that the firmware was unable to update.
8. I have downloaded, installed, and tried every app I can find that claims to be able to root a phone without a PC, and they have all failed.
9. I am simply unable to find the "USB Connections" menu, the one where the MTP or PTP modes are, and have only been able to access it through Samsung's "Smart Care" app.
10. I have also tried to get Odin to recognize my phone by resetting my SIM card, and by using the battery removal trick: neither worked for me.
I think that pretty much covers everything right now.... I am COMPLETELY dumbfounded, and have NO idea what to do, NOR do I have any idea if this is a hardware or software problem. ANY help would be MOST appreciated.

Hi guys,
Im in big big trouble. I have samsung A5 (2015) which I did not use for the past few months. Now when I decieded to sell it and to put my pictures and docs
on hard disk, It happened that I forgot my passcode. So the device is not connected with the internet, and debugging mode is off. I have many files in the device itself and not on SD.
I tried ADB with no success - that's how i know that the device is not in debugging mode.
I opened my google account to check - the device is not active.
No custom recovery installed or ROOT - everything is stock.
I tried to call on the number to try to connect to wifi when in dialing mode, but than I remembered that I redirected my calls to my actual number.
So is there any solution? I searched the web for the past few days and I'm about to lose hope.
Thanks in advance!

Well I'm not sure there is any way to get those files off of the device without remembering the password. If the files aren't too important and you still want to sell the phone, just boot to the bootloader (power off, then hold power, volume up, and home at the same time until bootloader loads) and use the volume down key to go down to wipe data/ factory reset and click volume up to do it. Of course you won't get to keep the files, but the password wouldn't be an issue anymore.
Thanks for the answer. I would like to make everything possible to save the files first, but as I continue to research.. maybe Im out of options
I managed to log in my Samsung account "find my mobile" where I have an option to remotely disable the passcode, but since I do not have internet connection Im not able to do anything.
So sad.. files are there but I can't reach them.. because of my stupid head..
If some have any idea - I'm ready to try whatever.
Thanks in adnvance!

I actually just thought of something. If you are able to remotely remove the password, but can't get to the wifi, you might be able to use an OTG cable (micro USB to full usb) and get a USB to Ethernet adapter to plug your phone into your router for a wired internet connection. I'm not sure if this would work for Android or for this specific phone, but that's possibly a way.
