I bought a bluetooth handset to take remote pics but it doesn't work. Is there something able to enable this?
can you connect? have you checked your connection, do you have more options? like when I connect my n4 to my n5 via Bluetooth, I have to enable it to use the Internet, via the connection settings.

i really dont think its possible. i know you can take shots with the volume keys, but via a bluetooth they will work just as they were intended, to adjust volume.

Is there an app that unifies the ring volume and media volume? Trying to get to the media volume is hassle sometimes. I know its suppose to be an automatic switch but most times it takes too long.

That app doesn't unify the volume controls. It does make them easier to access but i'm looking for a unifier. I've searched around but for some reason i don't see any threads about this.

Thanks. I'm not really looking for a unified menu i'm looking for master volume control with the rocker switches. I did find Master Volume Controller which allows the rocker switches to control all volumes. Its a little rough though. Is there anything better that anyone knows about?

I'm thinking it got pulled from the market for some reason. I doubt it was by google but probably by the developer.
Audioguru works pretty well for changing audio settings

Is there any other app that serves the same purpose (unified volume control via volume rocker) ?
Volume Button Controller app unfortunately is unavailable
im wondering if 4.4.1 fixes any of the audio issues like the hissing during video recordings and low call volume etc....
Speaker is louder for me (notifications, calls, music). Not sure about the headset volume. Havent made note of it yet.

I notice a difference in unlocking the phone, locking it, playing music etc... I've also noticed stronger haptic feedback on top of the camera fixes.

I've noticed the same. I had to go back into Google Keyboard and tone it down because it was too strong for me, in my opinion.
I had no idea google keyboard had settings.
The inline mic recording is improved, but is still at a lower gain than the handset mic.
My speaker for notifications is much louder now, as is my vibration. I Was one of the people who's vibration was so minimal I couldn't always feel it even when it was right against me but, after the 4.4.1 update, it's MUCH stronger.
I'm new to android and I'm a long time iPhone user. I must say I really like the S7. But is there a possibility that I can control the system, ringer & notification volume, in one setting? Just the same like on iOS?
Yes. Just push volume button. There will be a pop up screen with slider and in the right corner you see a arrow, click on it and you can control all volumes.

I created a tasker profile to link the ring and notification volume.
When I hit the volume button, both ringer and notification volume adjust together.
I could share the profile on here if I knew how to [emoji52]

Hey friends,
Now you can skip tracks with volume keys without root using Frinky Music Controller.
It was driving me insane when I had to unlock screen just to skip some tracks and I could not find any app which solves my problem smoothly so I developed one to do this .

Works very well, as developer promised, but will be better if you keep pressed the volume button to change track instead of single press to do that. It's a bit annoying at least for me hahahaha
Anyway, keep on dev. you did a great job for non rooted devices!

I would have done that if possible, but it is not possible to detect long press of volume keys in non rooted android devices . User will have to use it for atleast 2 days to master it.

Well, that just answered my question about long presses.......
I have a galaxy s21. I just got a warranty exchange and I noticed my Bluetooth volume on my car stereo is not at loud as my old phone.
I have both phones in my possession and played the same song individually on each device and I noticed that the new phone's volume is lower than my old one. All the settings are the same on both phones.
Any clue what's going on? Thanks!

I've heard this happen occasionally. Samsung browser sometimes triggers it. Eventually it resets spontaneously. Oddly I haven't seen this behavior for months now. Same load and app versions. It maybe a Developer option setting.
Check all settings again including volume limiting and bt settings in Developer options. Try toggling those, try turning off Disable absolute Volume. Use the master volume control and cycle from zero to 100% a couple times.
Try this as well if the device has this option, may only apply to Wearables:

It can be quit the pain but it's almost surely a settings issue. There are apps that allow you to access the hidden settings that presumably also would give access to absolute bt volume. I haven't had to try that.
For best audio use the C port hard wire output.
Enable the UHQ upscaler in advanced sound settings.
