[Q] My Device Hangs On Boot Phase And Volume Keys Dont Work - HTC Sensation

Hello, i'm new to xda-developers.com.
Recently I installed ClockWorkMod Rom on my device. After that the volume keys ,microphone and wifi weren't working any more! So I booted the device into recovery mode using debug setting mode, to reset the device to factory mode. In the recovery mode I stupidly formatted sys and the turned off
Now my volume keys don't work (so I can to go to recovery menu) and the device sucks on booting phase (just shows htc logo).
Is there any hope to recover my phone? I tried to use adb, but it haven't recognize my phone!
Can anyone help me?!

Thanks for your reply. But no, I don't have access to recovery mode!
Is there any PC program for flash android devices with this situation?

It seems to be a real bootloop. You should have any problem by flashing a recovery or even by deleting the system partition.I mean it could cause a bootloop but as the rzr86 said you should still have access to your bootloader. If you have access to your bootloader by pressing (power)+(vol-) buttons but you can't do anything else I am afraid the only solution for you could be to flash an RUU to your device.
If you still can't get into bootloader try to remove your battery for some seconds and try again.
You could also try this guide.(I don't know if this guide can help you.)
Are you S-ON or S-OFF user? (You should probably be S-ON)

[Q] HELP! ZTE RACER bricked after rooting!

Hi! Sorry about this rude way but I am in an emergency situation.
I have a ZTE RACER with Android 2.2.2 (official ZTE Frimware) which it keeps rebooting at the splash screen.
Before that, I did a root using SuperOneClick 2.3.3 by Shortfuse. After following the instructions (USB debug, plug-in, root) I've rebooted the phone normally (NOT with adb), and when it got after the ZTE Logo (the first one, not the splash screen and not the Android logo). The animation goes a little and freezes for a few seconds, then restarts automaticly (but not entirely, just repeats the splash screen) and reboot. Rance and repeat! I tried to unroot, but the app hangs, restarting with adb and nothing happens. adb restart command doesn't help that much. What should I do to fix it?
Additional info:
Phone recives adb commands normally.
Possibly Superuser app was leftover before unrooting and rooting again (yes I already did root, but superuser stoped working properly afer app and su files update)
Can't go to FTM Mode, ROM Manager gave me a broken CWM.
Unsure If I can install CWM manually since SD doesn't seem to get mounted.
Phone Info:
ZTE-RACER
Android 2.2.2 (FROYO_P2XXGV_V1.0.0_B2)
CWM 5.0.x (Installed with ROM Manager. Broken.)
Carrier: GR COSMOTE (that's unknown carrier for you.)
Thanks for any help.
P.S.: Does anyone here is greek and has a ZTE RACER with the official 2.2 upgrade? I need the FTM Mode.
From what you have said, it seems like you are in a soft brick not a hard one. This means that there is chance of recovery but you have to be very careful.
You weren't rude so don't worry bout that.
You may want to try a hard reset.
Now that we have identified the problem, you have the ability to try and find it yourself at least.
It is possible to manually flash the generic default 2.2 and this will restore your device.
or
turn off your phone and then press power button and volume up button.Programing will open and there is a option of reset and restore.By using volume button go to reset and restore option and then press power button and home key programing will start and your phone will reset.
Hit thanks if you found this useful.

For the first one, I don't know how since the only way I had was to reflash it with the 1-Click Update (I did that on my ZTE MF636 3G Modem).
About the second, you mean that I must use the adb command, or I just hold it down without connecting it (I am newbie to the Android), but thanks for the help. I'll keep you posted for the results.
(NOTE: 1-click update is the offline frimware updater made by ZTE.)
if the logo appears look for a solution, if nothing happens buy a new one because is a full brick

Logo appears but... I still don't get it.
Was that for CWM? Or for the phone?
CWM is broken by the ROM Manager. After installing, I tried to get in, but it got frozen to the Android logo + the red led is on. (Temporal brick).
Should I flash a working CWM to the phone?
Anyone?
If there is a working CWM recovery .img file for your device, flash that using fastboot.

a) I am not sure if it works but for sure it doesn't come from ROM Manager.
b)Where do I find fastboot and what's the command?
Anyone, please?
I think you get it when you install the SDK, along with ADB. You put your phone into fastboot mode, plug the USB into your computer, and use fastboot flash_image to flash the .img file to your device's recovery partition.
If you can boot your device into fastboot mode, search for "Android Flash Recovery" by Bill.Weckel (Windows only). That'll be the easiest way.

Here is the thread for Android Flash Recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827723
Doesn't work! It does detect it, but it can't flash it (on normal boot only. On recovery/bootloader it just getting bricked). Any other options? Or I have to send it for reflashing?

[Q] HP Pro Slate 12 - recovery mode and factory reset both disappeared!

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry if I post this question in a wrong section but there is no thread for my device on xda.
It seems like I ruined the recovery mode of my Android tablet. It's a HP Pro Slate 12 tablet with Android 5.1.1 on it. It's rooted. I wanted to install CWM Recovery to backup everything, but my device wasn't listed as a supported device. My friend told me I can install the LG G3 recovery instead because it's compatible. I installed that. Since then recovery mode completely disappeared. The device still boots in normal mode and works, but I cannot boot into recovery mode anymore. I really need it because the device boots normally but sometimes acting strange since I rooted it. I'd like to try unrooting it by going into recovery mode or doing a factory reset, but both options disappeared.
Here's what I've tried:
- I Googled this problem very thoroughly, but didn't find any help aside from "hold down 2 buttons to go into recovery mode" type of answers.
- I tried holding down volume up+power buttons while turning it on, but didn't work.
- Tried holding down volume down+power. Nope.
- Tried rebooting inside Android into recovery mode with Quick boot app. It rebooted my device but again it went into normal mode instead.
- Tried to reboot into recovery mode with ADP and FastBoot in Windows. ADB recognized my device (listed the serial number), Fastboot didn't recognize my device. So I tried to reboot into recovery with ADB. Same stuff happened. The device rebooted into normal mode.
- Tried to do a factory reset. DIDN'T work! Rebooted into normal mode once more. The factory reset hasn't deleted anything.
- I have the latest available update.zip from the official website for my device, but without recovery mode I cannot install it.
Any ideas? Did I really lose the possibility of recovery forever with a single click?

Get into recovery without volume buttons

Hey everyone
my opo have the internal volume buttons broken. I flashed a custom ROM on it and I forgot to do a factory reset before I firstly boot up the phone with the new ROM. So it stuck on the boot animation.
can someone help me out please?
You have to open it if the power menu has no "Boot to recovery option".

I'm stuck on boot animation without ADB enbaled
There is only One way left then I think... Flash Official COS via fastboot, that should boot normally, then enable advanced power options and access recovery via ADB.

honor 6x bootloop unlocked rooted

I was trying to flash twrp using an app called flashify but I ended in bootloop
I have bll-l21 unlocked rooted and I can enter fastboot mode but my pc doesn't detect it and usb debugging is disabled
Factory reset or dload method at this point... if you would had USB debugging active you could manually flash TWRP by adb and fix things, but in that state there isn't much possible to do
Solved , I only deleted the recovery and the os was working and my phone was trying to enter the recovery while there is nothing I forced it to power off then it rebooted automatically and powered it off again and on while pressing volume up and down and magically booted to os again thank God

YEs that is recovery issue only. Once you boot to system it will boot.
Why not try the traditional way via fast boot. there is a user friendly guide in my signature, try it.
Question
How did you deleted the recovery with the help of a tool or cmd?

How to copy data from android phone to computer when phone stuck at logo screen?

How to copy data from android phone to computer when phone stuck at logo screen?
Basically it stop going further, it stays at where you see the logo.
I can go to recovery mode, and clear cache etc.
Just want to copy some data from the internal memory before factory reset.
Anyone has experience on this?

Why you can't go into recovery mode ? Do you use correct button combination ?
RossTeagan said:
Try to enable USB debugging and install ADB on your PC then you should be able to access your phone with these steps:
- Connect the phone to a PC, using a USB cable
- Boot your phone into ClockworkMod Recovery, by pressing and holding the Power Button + Home Button + Volume Up or Down
- After loading ClockworkMod Recovery, check if the ADB connection is running, by opening a command prompt on your PC and typing adb devices
Now your phone should be connected and you can access your data.
