I ordered a s-view flip cover, I've also wanted to start using wireless charging.
can the s-view flip cover and qi wireless receiver work in one phone.? I see the s-view flip has its own back cover with chip in it. Would this effect the wireless charging if i install third party qi receiver?
anyone recommend me a good combo kit for wireless charging... (receiver+pad) i.e no heat, faster charging..?
also is there extended battery (same size as stock battery) that fits phone .(3000/3200mah) i can't seem to find any.
any help will be much appreciated.
also can the non-oem batteries be charged wirelessly.?

Return the flip cover and get the s-view cover that already has the built in QI receiver. That way everything will work perfectly and you'll retain your ip67 rating.

well, this is the one i want, i do not want to buy the s-view flip cover with built in charging, also its more expensive.. what qi receiver will work with such a cover.?

Ah I see. As long as you're not concerned with losing the ip67 rating of the device, any QI receiver for the S5 should fit under that cover. I'm using a cheapo receiver from ebay with no issues and it even works through my Otterbox wallet case which is pretty thick. Mine was less than 8 dollars.

Any suggestions for a Qi-Friendly Dual Layer Galaxy S4 case?
The Qi-receive I will be using is a generic PCB - thin type that sits under the battery cover.
I am considering the Spigen Slim Armor case, the Otterbox Commuter, and other dual layer (with outside material being smooth plastic) cases for under $40.
Galaxy S4 is such a fragile phone due to the thin structure, thin glass, and lack of external reinforcement.. The only metal reinforcement is the thin sheet of metal chassis.
I have already cracked the screen on my first Galaxy S4 inside a thin soft TPU rubber case and happened inside tight men jeans. Got it replaced by warranty plan.. Do not want to break it again..
PCB type Qi receivers are known for less distance and efficiency (The thicker coil, especially dual winding coils have longer range, but bulky and flaky NFC due to the unidirectional aluminum foil), and allows for less flaky NFC readings.
I am currently using the Spigen Neo Hybrid case for my S4 and it works perfectly fine with a QI charger
This mod for the SGP slim armor also works great for the Qi charger bump.

wish there's a case for the original qi case from samsung.
I just purchased a genuine Metal Slate color Slim Armor from my local store.
I insalled the Qi charging PCB receiver, and put the phone into the Slim Armor, works wonderfully.
The Qi Chargers I have used are a Japanese NTT Docomo Qi charger that came with my Fujitsu smartphone last year (which supported the Okudake Juuden), a generic white color USB based Qi Charger off eBay.
Both chargers works wonderfully, but the Docomo Qi charger has slight fast charging rates... I am using the original 2 amp charger that came in the S4 box. The Docomo Qi Charger can output 1-1.5 amps. My PCB receiver can receive around 0.7-0.8 amp (measured)
I can charge around 16-22% in an hour. When the battery hits 80%, it charges around 8-12% an hour... It also supports trinkle charge when it reaches almost full charge.
I can fully charge my brand new S4 with a brand new battery at full capacity in around 4-5 hours of time. If your battery has already worn down from discharging and recharging cycles, you can probably finish charging faster.
With the PCB Qi receiver, my NFC works very good even within the Slim Armor case..
I also tried to use the Qi receiver with the Otterbox Commuter, but has shaky connection with the charger. Even when the resonance frequencies pairs up between the receiver and transmitter, it emits a ever so slight coil frequency buzz. This is probably due to the fact that the distance between the 2 coils are at a minimal contact distance. If it charges, the charging rate is very slow, and sometimes when using the phone with light load like music listening with screen on, the battery recharging input is too low to keep up with the battery discharging rate, so I still lose battery percentage although I am plugged into the wall.
Hope this helps.
I'm using the ballistic sg maxx. It seems like a pretty thick dual layer case to me. I'm also using the wiqiqi receiver and versa charging pad and it works pretty good with my setup.

Indeed. I realized the Qi wireless charging on my Galaxy S4 has much better range distance compared to the older Palm TouchStone mod I did on my Galaxy S3.
Using the Neo Hybrid and the LG Qi charger here.
I'm planning to buy the OEM S Charger Cover and I wanted to know if it increases the width of the phone and if yes, how much?. I ask this because I have a SPIGEN Neo Hybrid case and I want to know if I'll have any problems with it.
Thanks

Read for yourself by clicking HERE and http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ITI24EK/ and looking for the measurements.
I see that it makes thicker and reading some other reviews I found that this case does no fit the Galaxy S5 with the Charging Cover
The wireless charging cover does add thickness to the phone, causing pretty much all S5 cases to not work with it. Here's an entire thread dedicated to the discussion of which cases fit with the wireless charging cover: Cases that are compatible with the wireless charging back
In short, the only case that's made specifically for use with the wireless charging cover at this point is this one from Diztronic. There are others that can be forced and/or modified to fit.
I bough this cases

This fit very well on my S5+ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ITI24NG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And Im wait for this case

Thanks for your help, it was very clear information :good:
Just wondering if anyone has the wireless charging back and is using it with a case? I just wanted to know if cases still fit with the wireless charging back cover because I heard the cover makes the phone fatter. Also does the wireless charging work with a case on?
I'm currently using the Spiegen Neo Hybrid and considering getting the wireless charging back and plate so I don't have to open the stupid flap that's prone to break.

Have not read the threads?
Yes the OEM Qi charging works fine as does NFC with UAG case.
NO.. the UAG case does not fit with the wireless Qi back. So either take off the back of the Qi wireless plate, or take the Qi wireless receiver out of the OEM note edge wireless back plate, and place it inside the OEM non-wireless back plate, and fit in the UAG, and it will both fit and work.
its interesting y my Qi receiver was nt working with UAG installed, will test furtherthanks for the reply! any idea wat are to extra pins for in the orig samsung back cover?,

Thanks! I carefully popped the plastic piece off the QI Edge back. I then used a thin blade to cut the QI receiver from the plastic and lined it up and popped the original back on and it charges wirelessly and now with the UAG case.
I have a note 4 case. It's a nice thickness and protection.
but it's incompatible with the samsung qi charging.
Any recommendations for a note 4 case that is compatible with the samsung charging plate?
wait for reply~
There is an 11 page thread on this topic with several options.

I love my S view flip case.... Slips into a holster for another case perfectly... Does not offer as much protection as a full case.... But the Note 4 is so damn beautiful that I just bring myself to cover it up.
....love wireless charging! Been missing it since my old Palm Pre.
...sent from a phabulous HAL 9002, a Sprint Galaxy Note 4....

If you have not already purchased the Samsung wireless charging cover, go with this instead:
Qi-infinity™ Note 4 receiver with NFC Coil
This will fit under the original cover and allow you to use just about any case you want.
I have the Samsung wireless charging cover but switched to the Qi-infinity receiver and I can tell you that it works perfectly.
And now my case options are no longer limited.
I have the Spigen Slim Armor. works perfectly with my qi receiver

It's about the same as the Fonesalesman with a very slight bulge near the sensor.
Barely noticeable.
