[Q] Whenever I plug my Ozone Oxygen I get an error saying Unsupported Acessory - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hello,
I bought an Ozone Oxygen ear phones today that when I plug them normally into my C1505 give me an "Unsupported Acessory" error.
But, if I plug them in partly, start a music and wait untill I hear the music playing in the ear phones, then push the rest of the 3.5mm jack into the phone, I can use them almost normally. the only thing that doesn't work is the incorporated microphone, which works in other android phones, like MotoG.
Is there a workaround to get the mic to work?
My phone is rooted, if it helps.

On suggestion by a friend, I tried leaving one of the three black bands in the jack outside and the microphone works. That said, I suspect that Sony has an apk that blocks any headset that isn't Sony-made.

[Q] Issue with bluetooth earpiece Latest Vegan Tab flash

Getting a "Paired but not connected" issue with my bluetooth ear-piece and I've tried everything to get it to connect, even force closing wiping all the data from the bluetooth application and rebooting several times. I've only had this problem since switching from cyanogen mod to vegan tab (Love vegan tab btw) does anyone know some fixes or solutions?
Thanks in advance :3
come on :\ doesnt even one person have a suggestion?

I've found if you plug and unplug a regular wired headset into the headset jack, thst usually fixes the audio be muted on internal speakers.
bluetooth help
I am having the same problem. Tried 2 different headsets, netbook, and my moto droid - but everything says "paired but not connected". nothing works! please help
may be a direction for a fix; DEVs could you clarify for us
I found this in a post today by enigma0456:
More research finally revealed something. BlueGPS4droid at sourceforge not the market. So, the external gps was "paired but not connected" until there was an application (bluegps) to "connect" to. Once that was installed I turned on the bluetooth and it immediately saw the hollux remote gps receiver. Tested it with Maps and it worked beautifully. So theories:
1. If there isn't an app waiting to use the bluetooth device it will pair but not connect until something asks for it.
now I realize this has to deal with gps but as i understand all phone apks have been removed that can be and not lose functionality in order to save battery life in Vegan 5.1 so if the above quote is right then there is no app (phone.apk etc.) to ask for the use of the ear piece and thus the paired but not connected issue.
now some people have mentioned not having issue getting their BT headset to work and maybe this is because the headset offers another use in their programing like they are designed to work like headphones or something and then there would be and app to ask for them and so they connect
the ones that do not work on the other hand like mine are only designed for phone audio; ever notice that on your Droid cell that your headset will say connected to phone audio, well in our case if the phone.apk/s are not there then there is nothing asking to connect to it.
DEVs are there any ideas to get functionality back even it that means adding back the phone.apks--and is that possible to do with our re-flashing a rom like side installing it or an update.zip
Thanks

There is an app on the market, called "headset toggle widget" and that will do the trick and unmute your speakers
Possible workaround...
Don't know if this will help but, after I paired my BT headset with GTAB, I then paired it with another device (my phone) after which GTAB started giving me the paired but not connected message when I tried to connect back to the GTAB. What worked? Well, now before I select the headset device in GTAB's bluetooth device menu, I put the headset itself back into pairing mode. THEN, I select it in GTAB's bluetooth device menu and voilĂ , it connects. Downside, I have to put the headset into pairing mode everytime I want to connect it to GTAB. (Haven't bothered trying to unpair the headset with my phone yet to see if it makes a difference.) Hope it works at least as temp fix for ya.

Sound issue Xperia Tablet

Hi all.
I have the Xperia Tablet S. I know it is a 2012/2013 device but I ran into an issue with the sound.
When I first did the setup walk through, all clicks and system sounds routed correctly through the built in audio. In fact, after about 10 minutes of being in the OS audio still worked correctly. After that, the audio seems to jump between "Headphones with Mic" and "Internal Speaker". My Mic obviously is cut off as well when it thinks there are headphones plugged in). It did this before I ever plugged headphones in.
I have been all over the web and this site seeing very similar issues with no REAL solution.
I have installed the Sound About newest BETA thanks to many of the posts in this forum because it shows me live where the audio is being sent. I can sit and watch it switch back and forth roughly 10-20 seconds sometimes quicker. It does know when I plug in a set of headphones and when I unplug but it wont keep one or the other permanently (unless it is headphones actually plugged in).
My main question is this.. Is it software of hardware? Obviously the tablet thinks there is something plugged into the headphone jack...sometimes. But it can work correctly as well sometimes. Just not for very long.
I can set Sound About to route everything all the time to the internal speakers but then that means every time I plug in headphones I have to turn off the app for it to work right.
-I have tried Sound About (works, but annoying to switch back and forth)
-Tried inserting and unplugging headphones in (and very slightly turning and wiggling the jack to see if it was a loose connection).
Again I have the Sony Xperia Tablet S running 4.1.1. (perhaps it is Jelly Bean bug). If thats the case ill deal with using Sound About.
Everyone here has always been awesome. I know far less about android than other OS's so I feel a bit more helpless. I just want to enjoy music and videos.

Lg G Pro 2 D838 - Phone not detecting headphones (HELP)

Weird thing started happening to my phone... When I plug in a pair of headphones (with or without mic) the phone does not detect that they are plugged in! Sound always comes out of the speakers. I've used apps like SoundAbout to force sound through the headset jack and it seems to do the trick but I'm still trying to find a proper solution for this problem.
The odd thing is that if I turn off my phone, plug in a pair of headphones, and then turn my phone back on, once booted the phone will recognize that it has a pair of headphones plugged in and everything will be fine. It doesn't work when I unplug and try to replug. It only detects the headphones on boot.
1) Is there a solution to this?
2) Anyone know something about mechanics of the 3,5mm jack? How all of this works? It seems that on boot it always tries to check if headphones are plugged in but I suppose that something mechanical in the headphone jack must trigger the check after boot...
3) I have cleaned the jack properly so dirt is not a problem. I have also tried different headphones and none of them are detected.
4) I think that problem is not software related. I have booted my phone in Safe Mode and problem is still there.
If anyone have some suggestion please help!
Thanks in advance.

EDIT: It was obviously a software problem. Yesterday I have updated my phone to new firmware v20b (SEA) and now my headset is working properly. When i plug in my headphones there is an icon in notification drawer showing that they are connected. After an upgrade of firmware I lost root so I suppose that somehow that was the source of this anoying bug. Maybe one of the apps that aquire root privilegies was causing this but I have never managed to investigate what's really going on. I tought that it was a 3,5mm jack (faulty hardware) problem...

[Help] Headphones/ headset not detected

Hello,
A while ago my Z3 stopped detecting headphones at first and headsets later as well. I belive it was when I installed 5.X.X for the first time. Only ever used greek and UK general versions.
I tried entering safe mode, factory reset, reflash etc, did't even activate google or other accounts nor installed new apps (even disabled SmartConnect), but I still have no luck so far.
I tought it was problem with oxydation, since the contacts looked a bit whitish (yes I got it wet few times and forgot to blow out all the water from the jack). But I cleaned it a few times, and even ordered and used a set of DeOxit the other day. First the red and after the blue one (have green and yellow, but sup they are for other things). I plugged a headset and it was detected by the apps like SmartConnect and Music (aka Walkman).
But the next day when I tried it, there was no detection. The phone stayed with a rubber plug during the night and was not washed before the second test.
Using an app from the play store I'm able to manually route audio output/input to headset jack and it works perfectly. No cracks or interference when I swivel the plug - both recorded audio thru mic and output to left and right headphones.
I've read the mic pin is actually responsible to connection detection...so I belive if the mic works OK then the HW connection should be OK as well?
This leaves me with what I could do SW wise to fix it. Don't really want to send it for repair - it will go to Greece and probably get scratched by their perf service...
Anyone can help?

Not your typical headphone jack issue.

Hi guys im looking to see if anyone has any input on this issue.
Firstly the phone is a Pixel 1 running the current android beta. the phone works as it should but since the last update during the day if im listening to audio with my wired headphones i get a loud pop and all audio to the headphones is disabled but the song/podcast im listening to continues to play on (no sound), ok i thought maybe the usual lint in the port, so turned the phone off and i cleaned it out (very small piece in there) . Headphones worked for a bit again the POP again and the same thing happened. Im starting to think it may not be the actual port as restarting the phone lets me use the jack again, which leads me to think its a software issue as apposed to hardware??
So so far ive:
-cleaned headphone jack
-tried an alternate pair of headphones
-done a factory reset
If anyone has any input that would be great, the only other thing i can think to do is remove myself from the beta and go back to standard?
Thanks in advance
