This is how to work around the Flashplayer NOT working after you download the APK. <<USING FIREFOX>>
1-Go to "more" in your Android settings
2-Tap security
3-Check the unknown sources, make sure it is allowed
Download the Flashplayer APK--Cut or copy this into the google search----> archived flash player versions
Click the first search result which should be titled "Archived Flash Player Versions"
Scroll all the way down until you reach Flash Player 4.0 archives. Of course you can keep scrolling until you find the appropriate APK for your Andriod OS.
**make sure you download the APK on to your Android device**
---------------------------------------- Make sure the above steps are correctly done-----------------------------------------
When the above steps are completed correctly and you can view the Flash Player Icon on your phone click it
It should open a webpage and say "Plugin Not enabled" If it DOES NOT you don't need to continue READING.
If it gives you an error message, USING FIREFOX
Go to Display in the FIREFOX menu
Then Tap Plugins
Then choose "Tap to Play"
Close FIREFOX. Now it should work for any Flash Player content.
IF you find complications message me or post on this thread
Thank you.

So I don't have enough posts to post in the Dec forum... but I figured I might not be the only one in my situation...
So far I have only one bug since installing Serendipity 7. Videos won't play... select a video from gallery and it says: "unable to open video".
(Upgraded from GR12 via rom flash in cm)
Sent from a GingerCappy S7
Serendipity VII don't have the Samsung video player installed from default, you have 2 option:
-Install your favorite Player like Vital player or Rock player from the market
or
- create and download a package with the Samsung Video Player from serendipity add-on kitchen. on the serendipity 7 website.
and install it from recovery
Do I have to rename the zip to update.zip? I tried flashing it as Serendipity.zip, and it went through, but it appears to have installed.
The only time you have to rename something to update.zip is when using the stock 2e recovery because that's the only file it will install, with cwm recovery you can install any zip file.
no need to rename
put it on the internal sdcard
go into recovery
select install zip from sdcard
select choose sip from sdcard
find the serendipity.zip and install it
then go back and reboot system now
after the phone boot you will find the video app on the app drawer.
What?! No Root?! No Recovery?!
I am trying to flash Serendipity 7 over Serendipity 6.4.
I got through the Odin section of the instructions (bootloader, GB, etc.)
Now I need to flash the Serendipity 7 ROM, but it looks like what I have is totally stock -- RootChecker/CWM says it's not rooted, and there's no Recovery installed that I can figure out how to get to.
Did I miss something? Is this normal? How do I get into recovery?
If CWM is not there, how do I get it on there if I'm not rooted?
========================
UPDATE:
I think I figured it out. Hold VOL_UP and POWER until the screen flashes the banner three or four times and then it goes into green recovery like it should.
Whew!
========================
I got up to Step 7, where the phone rebooted, but can't go any further after setting up. It doesn't have an option to boot into download mode and Vol Down + Power doesn't work.

Not really... the stock video player plays every format imaginable (mkv, mp4, avi, divx, etc up to 720p) and does it using GPU acceleration, which to date, no other app can do. This means full playback without dropped frames, and for me at least, my CPU only runs at about 400-600 MHz during 720p playback. No other video player can compare with that. Also, during playback, you can use the power button to lock the screen, and prevent accidental touches from interrupting the video.
I'd stick with it unless you have a specific need otherwise.
Also, since your new to XDA, bit of advice: Questions like this are certainly encouraged, and we're all here to help each other, but this sort of question would be best in the Q&A forum, not the development thread. The reason why the Devel section is closed to new members is that it is for "development related posts only". Also, only create new threads if you're absolutely sure no existing thread already exists where you can ask your question.
Good luck modifying your phone and welcome to XDA!!
Awesome, good to know on all accounts. Thanks for all the info!

I had the same issue until I powered the phone down and then the volume down, power button key combo worked.
The AOSP Gallery plays videos. The Samsung Gallery does not. Minor mistake.
Samsung video player from kitchen, kc1 modem... and I'm a happy chappy. Thanks guys! (Mikey and chance, your work is greatly appreciated and your talent envied)

Had the latest Opera and Flash before root. Flash worked on stock browser AND Opera.
Rooted.
Opera does not play flash. Stock browser does.
Any suggestions/ideas? Thanks.
Did you enable it in settings?
What Rom you use?
Flash Version?
I dont think its the issue of rooting.. I have just today noticed the same on my not-rooted TF !
Opera no Flash, stock browser ok ... Do you think it has sth to do with the Flash 11 update ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one having the issue.
I'm rooted, flash enabled in opera, and on Prime ROM, flash being latest version.
I've also noticed dolphin and stock browser play flash in lower quality, despite the setting I use. the lines are always pixelated. Speed is decent. perhaps this offers clues.
Flashh 11 does not work here as well. Unrooted, Stock.
It seems Opera won't work with the latest Flash. I tried some older versions, and only 10.3 worked, so for those of you who want Flash in Opera (or for stock browser for any reason), getting the 10.3 would be ideal for now until the 11 version works this bug out.
I tried to upload the file but this just isn't letting me so google "android flash 10.3" and a few other words if you're eager and download a 10.3 apk. It's the best advice I can offer.
WARNING: Did that on my rooted, flashed TF and flash is working in Opera again. But not in Stock browser. Can't see why, but ah well. I use Opera anyway.

This worked for me, thanks!
On my stock unrooted TF Flash now works in Opera AND in the stock browser ..
I suppose sooner or later Opera is going to come out with a fix for this Flash 11 issue.
Just a bit of advice for people looking for the apk (as i cannot post links either) - google "flash player 10.3 android apk download" and its the link on free-mobile-messenger.com
Does someone have a direct link to flask 10.3. Everything that I have found directs me to flash player 11?
I have also noticed another issue after rooting which I did on the 5th. I can no longer log into XDA. It takes my password & redirects me but I am prompted again when I try to post. What the hell is up with that. Works fine from my PC.

That worked for me but I am still unable to log into XDA from Transformer.
Opera does not help you with issues unless you pay them to be a "member" so I sent a message to Adobe regarding this issue and got the following in response;
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to write us a note. Our goal is to improve Flash Player with each release.
We don’t support Opera at this time. They may have figured out how to make Flash Player work in the browser (to some degree), but we're not partnering with them directly at this time. We need deeper integration into the Android OS than they can provide as a client application, which is why we're focused on supporting the built-in browser.
We are interested in the video playback use-case. Based on the problem you're describing, we've switched behaviors — we're either trying to use the built-in hardware video decoder on your device to view a stream it doesn't like, or we're reverting to software video decoding where we used to leverage your device's hardware video decoder.
Before giving up entirely, I'd recommend installing Flash Player, loading some Flash content in your browser, then rebooting your device. The first time you use Flash Player after it installs, it downloads a config file specific to your device that customizes the hardware video decoding behavior and a couple other things. If you've got an app in the background that's invoking Flash Player and keeping it running, it won't get a chance to reload with that config file in place.
If you're still stuck, the following information would be very helpful:
(From Settings > About Phone)
Model:
Android Version:
Kernel Version:
Build:
Also, please send us a direct link to a video that's demonstrating the problem. We'll be happy to look into it.

That is great! Except for that fact that it is most videos won't play.
Need help getting around lack of flash player on the new note. Haven't seen much here or elsewhere that hints or describes much of a solution. Any help or suggestions on how i can get flash working in the browser would be appreciated.
I installed the latest version of adobe flash player I pulled from my Galaxy S2 phone and installed on my Note. Everything seems to work fine.....back to watching porn again, lmao.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
Here is a link to the newest version of flash from the Adobe website...
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.17/install_flash_player_ics.apk
Install... You may need to select unknown sources in settings (it will tell you...)
Reference - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
I downloaded it from the playstore
Word is, if you go to the Play Store in the browser ON YOUR PC, you can find Flash and click Install and choose your Note as the device to install it on.
How to Get Adobe Flash on Samsung Galaxy S4 Working.
There are only a few Web Browser that are able to use the flash player, Stock and Chrome DO NOT WORK. there is a list of compatible browsers down below.
First what you wanna do is open the Adobe Archive link I provided and scroll down to where it says Android 4.0.
Adobe Archive Site: http://bit.ly/AdobeArchives
Now pick the first on and it should stat downloading a APK file.
Install and you should now have flash on you phone, but like i said the Stock and Chrome browser are not compatible use on of the following listed.
List of Compatible Web Browsers:
-Boat Browser
-SkyFire
-FireFox
-FireFox BETA
If you have another compatible browser, Please feel free to leave a comment so I can add it to the list. Thanks

So I visited just about every thread on XDA and on AndroidForums and I could not find anything.
KitKat doesn't come with the Adobe Flash Player API's, however a while ago I heard something about someone making a flashable .zip containing the API's. Can I grab the API's from Jelly Bean and just paste them into whatever folder they would go in? If so, what files?

You can't create a flashable zip and sideload them. Google Chrome will never support flash plugins or applets.
Only browsers like Dolphin or UC would support them.
For those browsers to support flash, Download here:

I thought that KitKat was missing API's to even run anything Flash related. I also read in an updated version of Dolphin there was an error message saying that the feature was disabled because Android no longer supported Flash.
