Had the latest Opera and Flash before root. Flash worked on stock browser AND Opera.
Rooted.
Opera does not play flash. Stock browser does.
Any suggestions/ideas? Thanks.
Did you enable it in settings?
What Rom you use?
Flash Version?
I dont think its the issue of rooting.. I have just today noticed the same on my not-rooted TF !
Opera no Flash, stock browser ok ... Do you think it has sth to do with the Flash 11 update ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one having the issue.
I'm rooted, flash enabled in opera, and on Prime ROM, flash being latest version.
I've also noticed dolphin and stock browser play flash in lower quality, despite the setting I use. the lines are always pixelated. Speed is decent. perhaps this offers clues.
Flashh 11 does not work here as well. Unrooted, Stock.
It seems Opera won't work with the latest Flash. I tried some older versions, and only 10.3 worked, so for those of you who want Flash in Opera (or for stock browser for any reason), getting the 10.3 would be ideal for now until the 11 version works this bug out.
I tried to upload the file but this just isn't letting me so google "android flash 10.3" and a few other words if you're eager and download a 10.3 apk. It's the best advice I can offer.
WARNING: Did that on my rooted, flashed TF and flash is working in Opera again. But not in Stock browser. Can't see why, but ah well. I use Opera anyway.

This worked for me, thanks!
On my stock unrooted TF Flash now works in Opera AND in the stock browser ..
I suppose sooner or later Opera is going to come out with a fix for this Flash 11 issue.
Just a bit of advice for people looking for the apk (as i cannot post links either) - google "flash player 10.3 android apk download" and its the link on free-mobile-messenger.com
Does someone have a direct link to flask 10.3. Everything that I have found directs me to flash player 11?
I have also noticed another issue after rooting which I did on the 5th. I can no longer log into XDA. It takes my password & redirects me but I am prompted again when I try to post. What the hell is up with that. Works fine from my PC.

Opera does not help you with issues unless you pay them to be a "member" so I sent a message to Adobe regarding this issue and got the following in response;
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to write us a note. Our goal is to improve Flash Player with each release.
We don’t support Opera at this time. They may have figured out how to make Flash Player work in the browser (to some degree), but we're not partnering with them directly at this time. We need deeper integration into the Android OS than they can provide as a client application, which is why we're focused on supporting the built-in browser.
We are interested in the video playback use-case. Based on the problem you're describing, we've switched behaviors — we're either trying to use the built-in hardware video decoder on your device to view a stream it doesn't like, or we're reverting to software video decoding where we used to leverage your device's hardware video decoder.
Before giving up entirely, I'd recommend installing Flash Player, loading some Flash content in your browser, then rebooting your device. The first time you use Flash Player after it installs, it downloads a config file specific to your device that customizes the hardware video decoding behavior and a couple other things. If you've got an app in the background that's invoking Flash Player and keeping it running, it won't get a chance to reload with that config file in place.
If you're still stuck, the following information would be very helpful:
(From Settings > About Phone)
Model:
Android Version:
Kernel Version:
Build:
Also, please send us a direct link to a video that's demonstrating the problem. We'll be happy to look into it.

Has anyone tried this Flash Payer on their Athena or Advantage??? I read it works on the Athena Mitchy ROM.
Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423860
Did you get it to work on the X7510?
If YES.....what version of Opera are you using?
I tried it on my Universal running WM5, but it did not work. I was hoping someone with a X7510 already tried it and could let us know if it works.
I will try it after I finish installing a bunch of stuff and make a backup, just in case it won't work. But at this point, I don't want to loose all the hard work I already put in, as it is hard to start from scratch and do a hard reset.
i have Flash 7 working, and Flash Lite 2.1
i haven't got the time to install the new Flash Lite 3.1 yet
i've got the files downloaded for more than 2 weeks, and it's still sitting in my miniSD
which suppose to enable ability to support Flash 8+ scripts
Installed as directed and yes it is working on my HTC advantage 7510

Thanks for the update. As soon as I finished setting up more software. I'll give this a try after a FULL backup, just to be on the safe side. I'll report back soon.
So basically, you just installed the Opera CAB file and the Flash Player CAB file in the MAIN memory, even though Opera is already in your X7510.
Weird thing happened...
OK, today I decided to try installing Opera 1957 (latest build). I moved Opera 1114 (original build) to my Flash Disk, just to be sure. Installed Opera 1957 and got a message: INSTALLATION WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. Crap I said... went back and deleted every folder that was newly created and returned Opera 1114. Wierd thing is both version is running fine in my X7510. The older version consumes about 10MB of internal memory to run. The newer version only uses 4MB.
I still have not installed Flash Player. I will try if this causes any conflict for now.
Flash Player does work, but only on youtube.com
I have been trying to get flash sites working with the Opera version installed on TD2. I have tried Installing flashlite v3 and macromedia flash and nothing happens.
I reverted back to the previous Opera which i used on my TD1 with Flashlite v3 and that didnt work either.
Any ideas is appreciated.
i did everything u said and more (had to hard reset a few times after installing various builds of opera) but still nothing works.
I`m starting to think i have a better chance working on IE then on Opera - as it seems IE is forwarding to Streaming Videos program (this is not valid for all sites but still some work with IE)
anyway, I would rly appreciate a solution to this also
The Diamond2 I got has Flashlite 3 in rom and it works with PIE (albeit a bit slowly) but not with Opera 9.5 (build 16277). I checked with different Opera versions and builds but it seems there is no solution: the choice is a crappy browser with flash or a decent browser without.
Now Opera 9.7 is almost here, but flash support is uncertain. It seems that the combination of MS, Adobe and Opera will go on with these absurdities.
Why don't you use skyfire???
i did try with skyfire and didn`t work
what is PIE ? could u please give us a link
also my ROM did not have Flashlite 3 installed so i had to manually add it - after that i tried both with IE and Opera and nothing worked
there is also a flash player for mobile version - that does not work either

Are you sure? To check you need a file explorer that can show files in ROM (the standard file explorer can not), for example Resco Explorer.

It might be that you overwrote the original Flashlite 3 installation. You could try to unistall it or better to hard reset but I do not know if every kind of ROM has it installed. At any rate as I said in my phone flash worked only in Internet Explorer not in Opera.
could you please try the link below with u`r device, using IE and tell me if it works ?

No they don't. There's a placeholder with a Flash 9 logo and if I tap and hold it a pop up menu appears to select between showing About Flashlite 3.1 ActiveX (that's definitely installed) and full screen.
I suppose Flashlite can not play every Flash 9, but only some kinds (for example I tested many videos on www.la7.it). Another variable to complicate the mess...
ya just like you said fot me also. all this sux as the main reason for getting this phone, was to be able to look at that site in better conditions.

Hi I have the same problem with my Htc diamond 2 : IE is o.k no problem whatsoever to open streaming video , while Opera 9.5 cannot open it.
My Sony Xperia now is perfectly ok after couple of problems due to installing RealOne Player ( don't do it) I had to reset the phone. HTC Diamomnd 2 Regarding the bag of Opera 9.5 I know that around in xda developers there is a gay that fixed the problem, I found it 10 days ago but at the time I didin't try...I remember that was not so simple....not extremely difficult but enough to loose bit of time. I will do a double check in my system and if I found the link I' let you know.

Which is the default built for the diamond 2 WWE and where can i find it ?
I moved to the opera with the flash but want to go back to the original version because it looks that it is slower.

You didn't need to install Flashlite?

No. It is already in the device... Try to visit a Flash site with PIE, and you will see that it works; the problem is that Opera does not support it.
Well, with this hack, the Opera does support it, too!
Hello!
I'm not sure if this is a silly question, but here it is:
Where can I find the EXACT same Opera 9.7 that is included in the stock 1.66 ROM? I've installed a good custom ROM that doesn't include Opera. Only IE.
Tried to download a couple of versions here. But they either didn't work or were slow and buggy. None of those that worked had pinch to zoom in them. Would it be possible to somehow extract it from the official ROM or something?
Thanks!

Hi, I've posted a couple of Opera 9.7 version in this forum in the last week. I wanted to search for them, but this forum is so slow at the moment that you must do it yourself. (BTW don't install the 35801 build. You have to have a working 9.7 copy on your HD2 for that installation-package)
These builds are not exactly like the one you had on your 1.66 rom, but are updated newer versions. Function-wise they are totally the same (pinch-and-zoom support etc.) though.
Hi!
Searched for your posts and found the "Opera 9.7 build 9_70_35758_0". I'm gonna give it a try.
Should I install the 35801 build after installing this BTW?
Thanks alot!
EDIT: Hmm.. no luck. After installing that package, I did a soft reset (just in case) and tried to access internet via manila. It gave me a small white box in the center of the screen, and after a while it would disappear. Any ideas?

Try the attached cab (maybe you have to install the opera cab file again after installation of this)
And yes, you can install 35801 after installation of build 35758
Cool i tried it and the opera now really works! Thanks a ton for your help appelflap!
So if anyone else wonders, I first installed the "Operah Windows_dir.cab" (after soft reset), then the build 35758 and finally the 35801. This one's not slow at all. Very nice work!
Yes, works great, but don't install the somewhere mentioned registry restauration (Opera Restore Registry.cab).
I installed it first and then multitouch zoom didn't work.
Need help getting around lack of flash player on the new note. Haven't seen much here or elsewhere that hints or describes much of a solution. Any help or suggestions on how i can get flash working in the browser would be appreciated.
I installed the latest version of adobe flash player I pulled from my Galaxy S2 phone and installed on my Note. Everything seems to work fine.....back to watching porn again, lmao.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
Here is a link to the newest version of flash from the Adobe website...
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.17/install_flash_player_ics.apk
Install... You may need to select unknown sources in settings (it will tell you...)
Reference - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
I downloaded it from the playstore
Word is, if you go to the Play Store in the browser ON YOUR PC, you can find Flash and click Install and choose your Note as the device to install it on.
So I visited just about every thread on XDA and on AndroidForums and I could not find anything.
KitKat doesn't come with the Adobe Flash Player API's, however a while ago I heard something about someone making a flashable .zip containing the API's. Can I grab the API's from Jelly Bean and just paste them into whatever folder they would go in? If so, what files?

You can't create a flashable zip and sideload them. Google Chrome will never support flash plugins or applets.
Only browsers like Dolphin or UC would support them.
For those browsers to support flash, Download here:

I thought that KitKat was missing API's to even run anything Flash related. I also read in an updated version of Dolphin there was an error message saying that the feature was disabled because Android no longer supported Flash.
