[Q] Fkash Player API's for Kitkat - General Questions and Answers

So I visited just about every thread on XDA and on AndroidForums and I could not find anything.
KitKat doesn't come with the Adobe Flash Player API's, however a while ago I heard something about someone making a flashable .zip containing the API's. Can I grab the API's from Jelly Bean and just paste them into whatever folder they would go in? If so, what files?

You can't create a flashable zip and sideload them. Google Chrome will never support flash plugins or applets.
Only browsers like Dolphin or UC would support them.
For those browsers to support flash, Download here:

I thought that KitKat was missing API's to even run anything Flash related. I also read in an updated version of Dolphin there was an error message saying that the feature was disabled because Android no longer supported Flash.

[Q] Just rooted, Flash doesn't work in Opera

Had the latest Opera and Flash before root. Flash worked on stock browser AND Opera.
Rooted.
Opera does not play flash. Stock browser does.
Any suggestions/ideas? Thanks.
Did you enable it in settings?
What Rom you use?
Flash Version?
I dont think its the issue of rooting.. I have just today noticed the same on my not-rooted TF !
Opera no Flash, stock browser ok ... Do you think it has sth to do with the Flash 11 update ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one having the issue.
I'm rooted, flash enabled in opera, and on Prime ROM, flash being latest version.
I've also noticed dolphin and stock browser play flash in lower quality, despite the setting I use. the lines are always pixelated. Speed is decent. perhaps this offers clues.
Flashh 11 does not work here as well. Unrooted, Stock.
It seems Opera won't work with the latest Flash. I tried some older versions, and only 10.3 worked, so for those of you who want Flash in Opera (or for stock browser for any reason), getting the 10.3 would be ideal for now until the 11 version works this bug out.
I tried to upload the file but this just isn't letting me so google "android flash 10.3" and a few other words if you're eager and download a 10.3 apk. It's the best advice I can offer.
WARNING: Did that on my rooted, flashed TF and flash is working in Opera again. But not in Stock browser. Can't see why, but ah well. I use Opera anyway.

This worked for me, thanks!
On my stock unrooted TF Flash now works in Opera AND in the stock browser ..
I suppose sooner or later Opera is going to come out with a fix for this Flash 11 issue.
Just a bit of advice for people looking for the apk (as i cannot post links either) - google "flash player 10.3 android apk download" and its the link on free-mobile-messenger.com
Does someone have a direct link to flask 10.3. Everything that I have found directs me to flash player 11?
I have also noticed another issue after rooting which I did on the 5th. I can no longer log into XDA. It takes my password & redirects me but I am prompted again when I try to post. What the hell is up with that. Works fine from my PC.

That worked for me but I am still unable to log into XDA from Transformer.
Opera does not help you with issues unless you pay them to be a "member" so I sent a message to Adobe regarding this issue and got the following in response;
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to write us a note. Our goal is to improve Flash Player with each release.
We don’t support Opera at this time. They may have figured out how to make Flash Player work in the browser (to some degree), but we're not partnering with them directly at this time. We need deeper integration into the Android OS than they can provide as a client application, which is why we're focused on supporting the built-in browser.
We are interested in the video playback use-case. Based on the problem you're describing, we've switched behaviors — we're either trying to use the built-in hardware video decoder on your device to view a stream it doesn't like, or we're reverting to software video decoding where we used to leverage your device's hardware video decoder.
Before giving up entirely, I'd recommend installing Flash Player, loading some Flash content in your browser, then rebooting your device. The first time you use Flash Player after it installs, it downloads a config file specific to your device that customizes the hardware video decoding behavior and a couple other things. If you've got an app in the background that's invoking Flash Player and keeping it running, it won't get a chance to reload with that config file in place.
If you're still stuck, the following information would be very helpful:
(From Settings > About Phone)
Model:
Android Version:
Kernel Version:
Build:
Also, please send us a direct link to a video that's demonstrating the problem. We'll be happy to look into it.

Motorola Stock Apps

Hi,
does anyone know where i can get a Full Package of the Original Honeycomb Motorola Stock Apps? Just have a Xoom from a friend here, Flashed ICS from Team Eos, and now he anxious want's the Original Motorola Apps again.
Especially he Stock Filemanager.
Can i download them from anywhere? Or have i to flash back to HC, and backup the apps? If yes, does it work with Titaniumbackup?
So that i can get the clean install-apk's, not the orginial which are integrated into the system?
thanks in advance
Cant help you sorry. But would also like the default File Manager back for posterity. Apparently it is only the non US model that actually cam with the file manager in Honeycomb 3.2 update. US versions never had it and everyone will tell you to download a file manager from the market!! But the stock one was very simple and intuitive so I like it and want it back too.
Hey guys!
I managed to get the file manager that came in the Honeycomb stock motorola, ROM, but I can not install!
I've tried putting the file directly in the "app", I changed the permissions for all possible combinations, and nothing... I've been researching and I think the problem is that such "android manifest" it determines the sdk to target 11 and the ICS is 15 .. but can not edit the xml. I'll leave the apk here, if someone can help: http ://dl. dropbox. com/u/28574144/FileManager. apk
I liked it too, because it was simple. But I then realised it was not tablet optimised, so much slower to navigate.
miss stock apps too

Not sure if anyone would be still interested in this but I got the stock File Manager back!
I've "reseted" my xoom back to 3.0.1 version. The File Manager apk provided wouldn't work but after an update to 3.1 version that nice stock File Manager apk just showed up automatically. No need for apk installation or anything.
Anyway thanks buddy for providing this link!

Open ZDK Zune HD native executable working on HTC 7 Pro

While browsing for apps I came through a site called www.zuneboards.com and it had a program called Liberate for Zune HD. I downloaded the v1.6.2 zip and extracted it and copied to my HTC 7 Pro and tried to run the native executables. Most of them did not work but there was one named reboot.exe and when I tried to open it from the FileBrowser it actually asked if I wanted to reboot my phone and when I tapped on yes it did reboot.
There was another executable cabinstall.exe and when it was executed gave a message to double tap on the cab file which might mean that it we can open a cab file but need to set the correct registry path for the cabinstall.exe to be called when opening a cab file which I am not able to do.
Any help will be appreciated.
I am not sure what it means but is it now possible to make native executables run on windows phone 7? I am able to open Opera Mobile by ultrashot by directly running the executable instead of the opera launcher as well.
I have added the zip file which has the executables.
Are you on a custom ROM or a stock ROM? Native executables have been possible on custom ROMs for a long time, but if this works on a stock ROM... time to investigate.
EDIT: Your link is going to a 404 error page, not a ZIP file. Re-upload maybe?

I have updated the attachment. Should work now.
I am on a custom rom so I am not sure if it will work on a stock rom or not.
It uses executables built for WinCE 6.0. This is also a valid way to build native code on WP7 (WP7 uses a CE kernel version somewhere between 6.0 and 7.0) so it's no surprise that at least some of the apps will work.
Is there source code available for this hack? It would be interesting to see what they did. It's probably ZHD-specific (for the general unlock) but it *might* be useful for WP7 hacking too...

404 error page again (WTF? Never seen that on anybody else's attachments!)

@GoodDayToDie I am not sure why the attachments are giving the 404 error.
Here is the link to mediafire http://www.mediafire.com/?4g82q2eoww16kgr
@GoodDaytoDie
Did you find anything interesting or useful in the source?
Not yet, but it was a busy weekend. I'm looking through a number of things at the same time and haven't dug into that one yet.
However, it's worth noting that the Zune HD uses a very different security model from WP7. I didn't do any ZHD dev or hacking, so I'm not entirely familiar with how its app model works.
Thanks for the source though! I'll dig into it further and let you know if I find anything. I may have to create an account on that other forum too; it looks like they're doing some WP7 hacking as well.
I tried sources in VS 2008. New project must be created from old source codes and main entry point must be added to properties/link/commandline option, or changed to wmain. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33649737#post33649737 , download zip.

[Q] Flash plugin

Need help getting around lack of flash player on the new note. Haven't seen much here or elsewhere that hints or describes much of a solution. Any help or suggestions on how i can get flash working in the browser would be appreciated.
I installed the latest version of adobe flash player I pulled from my Galaxy S2 phone and installed on my Note. Everything seems to work fine.....back to watching porn again, lmao.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
Here is a link to the newest version of flash from the Adobe website...
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.17/install_flash_player_ics.apk
Install... You may need to select unknown sources in settings (it will tell you...)
Reference - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
I downloaded it from the playstore
Word is, if you go to the Play Store in the browser ON YOUR PC, you can find Flash and click Install and choose your Note as the device to install it on.
