Yes, assuming you backed up properly. If you didn't you'll flash a blank image.
It also depends the reason why you lost data.

Can any one tell me what i did wrong?
I used a I727UCALC4_OneClick package to flash my at&t i727 to android 4.0.3. For some reason my home button and search button did not work so i said to return back to stock.
I flashed the phone with SGH-I727-UCKJ2-k0nane thru ODIN to return to stock 2.3.5 . I then tried to do a OTA update to 2.3.6. The update downloads and starts installing , reboots the phone and fails to finish.
Any help please ? Thanks
I tried doing this myself last night. Remember you will lose your root once taking it to 2.3.5, so re root using Odin, then, reboot. Then follow the root instructions as outlined by user k0nane here at xda. Then get into clockwork mod recovery mode and restore to the backup version you did of 2.3.6...much easier process than trying to flash stock. Hope that helps.

You might have renamed the backup, the backup might be corrupt, or you did the backup with a different version of cwm than you are trying to restore it with.
If this helps I got here a copy of my mhx lite 2.3.6 I made before going to 4.0.3

i was able to fix the md5 mismatch and it restored successfully, however it does not boot now. It stalls and the samsung logo.
Try using the restore I linked, something just seems wrong with yours

Its mhx superlite 3.1 but if the rom will work you can later on flash whatever you want. Atm you seem to be stuck with an unusable phone so anything is better.
Go to sammobile.com
make an account
go to firmware section
type i727 in the box
scroll down and download the tar
extract with 7zip
Flash in odin
Then drink beer and such
i was able to flash tru cwm a att rom that worked. Everything works ok now.
It is possible to transfer my data from the backup into this working rom ?
Just flash modem. To match firmware....

UCLA3 modem, firmware and rom were flashed and everything works great. I only need to transfer my user data from the backup. Can i flash only the user data to the phone from that original backup?

pretty risky if the backups corrupt anyway... but you can try (i would make a back up first)
my phone was bricked and having unknown IMEI and Baseband, i already tried lots of tricks but no luck. also tried to repair it with z3x/octopus/asansam and nothing happened. i wanna try to restore it with nandroid backup but i dont have any.
i beg everyone who has a good heart to lend me their nandroid so i can restore fake IMEI and repair it with z3x. please

i've check the link that you gave, tried to restore it using the steps there but no luck blank IMEI
the thing that i wanna test is trying to restore it using nandroid backup. that's my last option if that also fails then its a hardware problem.
I hope someone will lend me their nandroid backup.

If efs has been corrupted and baseband is unknown try to flash kpe [all files] and flash the default efs.tar then thats the time u can now use the box,. If it fails maybe a hardware problm of the ph0ne or search on google bout using the box.

No, I will try that now.
I have just rooted my n5, and for now I want to stay stock.
I want to backup my efs partition, just in case. Is it possible to do so using the stock recovery, or make a full nandroid?
You will need custom recovery and then can do either a full backup or just the EFS. I know for certain that TWRP gives you the options.

I know I can do it with TWRP but is dit possible without custom recovery ?
Is it possible to return to stock without losing my data? My data really isn't that necessary, as I could make a TB backup and save it to the internal memory, but the main question is: Can I return to stock ROM without having to to wipe my internal memory?

no. of course you can set it for google to restore your settings, and apps with settings, but your data will get wiped.

Alright, thanks
Yes you can. Just download the stock factory image and extract it. Then using adb (I hope you know how if not tell me and I'll try to explain) flash the recovery, system, and boot images. That will restore your stock ROM, kernel, and recovery. Just don't flash the userdata image and all your internal data on your "SD card" will be fine. All you have to do is restore your titanium backup apps and all their data will still be there and your pictures and everything will all be available.

Cool I was wondering this too as I made a nandroid when I first started but not sure I had all my apps set up yet. From here I would just reflash twrp and reroot, correct?

Yes but you'll still lose your apps just not the internal data so make sure you backup with titanium. It'll be like flashing a new ROM.
