Hi,
It's a known issue at the moment. Just hit send. When you get the error, just back out of the reply screen. Hit save or discard, either one. Your post will be there. Only once.
It's being worked on. Sit tight. ?

Might want to definitely hit save on big posts. In case you need to do it or again.

[Q] Has google done a software fix for speaker volume

I convinced a friend to try out a Nexus 5 as his new phone. Only feature that's disappointing is the speaker volume. It varies greatly from apps like Youtube to google maps, etc. I see on 11/8 Google acknowledged that it was a software issue and a fix is coming. Haven't seen any updates on the issue... outside of Rooting and messing with system files.
IT's not my phone and gonna stay stock. is a software fix is coming soon??? Should the problem have been resolved by now? Anybody know if they got a bad phone
Other than speaker volume... Loves the phone.
Volume
Google Maps - sound volume is fine
Youtube - unusably low.. some non-song audio is plenty loud
Tune-In Radio = sound volume is fine
OK Google = Sound is plenty loud
Phone Volume = plenty loud
Thanks
Yeah check out the themes section

Any way to turn off sense tutorial tips?

I'm rooted, and running Skyfall. Is there a way to turn off the constant nagging tips about full screen mode, and how to work the camera? Thanks.

Full screen mode is a Google thing though

Oh my god you are amazing! I have been trying to figure this out for so long! Thank you!

Configure and test the second screen - NO ROOT REQUIRED

First you'll need to install QuickShortcutMaker or other similar apps to enable making custom shortcuts. Then search "signboardtest", run it you'll see a page as shown in attached screenshot.
Here you can perform bunch of testings on the second screen, including posting various kinds of notifications (warning: do not test ProgressBar as notification type ?)
What's more important is you can modify the notification size and how long it sticks. Those are what I've found so far, hopefully we can dig something useful here and find a way to modify it the ways we want.
Great find ! Thanks for sharing!

Search signboardtest under settings in the shortcut maker? I don't see it listed separately.

this is how I got it
Did you happen to install anything else? I've searched for this (as I'm having an issue with my 2nd screen at the moment) and I don't have signboardtest as an option, even searched for signboardtest with Root Explorer.
Just looked in T-Mobile version. However I do not see it listed.

Confirmed I found signboardtest as well using quick shortcut maker. On a Verizon v10
You can change all of that, but it doesn't actually stick.. Tried all them last week. Change the notification to 7 secs and then exit out, then test a real notification(not from sign test app) and count the seconds it stays on second screen, it will still be 3 secs..

Not on Tmo, I pulled it from the hk version.
Tmo doesn't have that, but there is a lgsignboard.apk and lots of other signboard files.
I don't know enough to dig into it but the option is in here somewhere

It's sticks for me. Finally makes notifications on second screen useful. Thanks, op.

So you're telling me that the notification stays legible for a full 7 secs? I just did it again and still goes off after 3. It may say 7 secs, but it's not actually staying on for that long, screen on or off.
Is there a way to push Tasker variables to the second screen?
Awesome!
This is Fantastic. Worked for me! VS 990.
Don't know how many times I went to click on a Text notification and right as i clicked it the notification disappeared and I opened one of my 'Quick Apps' ... sent a text to myself to verify that the notification displayed for 6 seconds...
WINNING!
Thank you!
... Also you can find this shortcut with the 'AnyCut' app.
Tried it with the stock messaging app and it did stay on longer, but haven't found any other notifications that stay on for the full duration.

I ported it from the hong kong version. It is it's own apk with odex and libs. It doesn't come on the Tmo version. It wasn't working for me before, but after a reboot the notification time stays to whatever I set it in now. I thought I was going to have to mod the app for it to work, but it is fine now.

I use Activity launcher to open mine... Maybe try moving them all manually and setting perms.
This app is such a lifesaver.. I can now read my messages on the second screen and open them from there directly.. Amazing
