Can you install Soft key on Hard buttons Phone?
Hello, If you phone has Hard keys,
Can you also install Softkeys? I like softkeys better?
Has anyone done this? or know how to? Cheers
Yes, you sure can. I would recommend Button Savior. Here's its Google Play listing: Button Savior (Root).

Hi
I've had a good search through the forums, but couldn't find anything to do what I need.
I'm looking for a way to re-map the "Home" soft key on the TG01 to run an app (for example TaskFacade). I'm aware of AE Button Plus but that only seems to be for hardware buttons, and also I think $8 is a little steep for what it does. So is there another app that can remap the soft key? I'd settle for a registry hack, but I'd like one that doesn't go away after a soft reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Hey everybody, I've been having some trouble with my Nationite Midnite (Wits A81E).
My hardware buttons (softkeys) for back, menu, and home are broken. I have an app installed that lets me use a touchscreen button for them but the only one that actually works is the home screen button. What I want to try to do is edit the key mappings so that a long press of the functioning volume buttons could be assigned to back and menu. If anyone knows anything about this, please help me! Thanks in advance!

I've remapped some of the touch buttons to control buttons in emulators (ex: In a NES emulator, Search is A, Back is B.
The buttons work, however, when I press them they "disable" the screen and vice-versa. I'm thinking this is by design so you don't accidentally press a button while using the screen.
What I'm wondering is, does anyone know of a way to disable this?
I'm also trying to do it for SCUMMVM since many games are hard to play without right click. Right clicking is done by holding down the search button and then tapping the screen. And the Triumph only seems to let you use either the screen or the touch buttons, not both at the same time.
The phone is rooted by the way.
Thanks for any info!
Hi
I know it's possible to remap keys using this file but I can't find much definitive info about it. I'd rather not use a third party app for this.
Basically I'd like to know if it's possible to map a key to a kill function to kill the foreground app? If yes what is that function.
And does anyone know what the key numbers for the physical buttons home, power and capacitive buttons are + their long press number?
Thanks
