[Q] About Audio Decoder - MX Player

Hello! This is my first time for posting here.
First, thank you for developing such a good video player apps! I am using MX player Pro in my Tablet. I am enjoying with it!
Recently, when I play some videos in MX player, I hear both Cantonese and Korean at the same time. Only one sound track I can choose.
When I play these videos in my computer, I use the "mixer" in ffdshow audio decoder for playing only Cantonese.
I wonder that if I could do the same thing in MX player? If yes, could you please teach me or refer some post about it for me?
Thank you very much!
Information:
Devices : Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet
Video info: See attachment please.

It looks like each language is mixed in different chennels of a single track instead of seperate track per language. Right now multiple chennels are downsampled to stereo in order to play properly in Android devices.
That's why you are hearing both audio.
So, I think it's not possible to play only 2 out of 4 channels of a single track. In PC it's possible through channel configuration. It's android limitation.

[Q] Does the default video player support subtitles?

Hi.
I still haven't decided to buy this tablet yet. So I was wondering if the built in player displays subtitles embedded in mkvs, ass or similar files? I normally use moboplayer in order to play my soft-subbed videos on my cellphone since only a few players support this feature.
If this is not supported, is there another video player that supports this but also allows it be floating like the video player?
Thanks!

I believe that the default video player only accepts SRT subtitle file. MKV playback starts off a little bit slow but picks right up at normal speed after a few seconds.
In most of cases, it support srt. I had no problem on most movies, included mkv.
Try a app call BS player, its in the play store, I love it and it will search for the subtitles any movies you are watching..for you.

Use DICE player . It supports all subtitles and floating screen , and if subtitles are not synced properly but you don't have choice , this player can slow down subtitles or accelerate them during play .

+1 for VLC and MX Player

For MX, get the right codec for your CPU. If you don't know what you have, you will probably find it in the little info box on the right side on Wikipedia

MX Player audio track selection

I have seen questions posted for three years about how to select the proper audio track on Android. I have installed the latest MX player version on my Android TV running my SONY, and with identical video files (AVI, MKV, M2TS), or the original M2TS (25+ gig) file from a decrypted BluRay, I still cannot select the soundtrack, but instead get the directors comments. My only solution is to have VLC to run the videos that MX player has problems with.
Is there a solution yet ? A simple drop-down to select the proper audio track ?
Thanks in advance

Thd audio
Me too I'm playing an HDR video that's playing fine but when trying to play the audio track that's a separate .thd file it's not even showing up in the files which means it doesn't recognise it as an audio track

MX Player not all dialogue is Displayed

Just started using MX Player and like it very much.
I have movies recorded from TV and they have subtitles included in the file.
For most movies MX Player displays all the dialogue as subtitles very well.
I have some that when played with MX PLayer not all the lines of dialogue get displayed on screen.
I had this same problem with these movies when I first started using Potplayer on my windows PC.
Potplayer was able to fix this problem in one day and now all these movies display the subtitles perfectly using Potplayer.
I want to use MX Player on my android devices so would love to have the technical people try to modify the software to fix this problem.
I can supply a dropbox link to a very small portion of one of these movies where the problem occurs .
But not sure if that is OK to place here ?
If it is OK please let me know and I will include the link.
Please help.

VC-1 mkv files don't play

Hello,
I'm using the mx player pro on a Sony Xperia 1.
HP.264 mkv files work fine. VC-1 mkv files don't play. VLC player is able to play the VC-1 files on this device.
I use mx player because of the ability to change subtitle position. VLC doesn't have this feature.
Can there anything be done to make Vc-1 mkv files play on MX Player?
Thank you for helping.

Hello,
Due to other reasons I had to reset the app preferences(system-> reset options -> reset app preferences). After this the MX Player Pro was able to play VC-1 on a Sony Xperia 1. But after a while, without changing anything the situation was the same as described in the first post.
Best regards
Same here. Videos containing codec VC-1 can't play video without problem. When I play video after 3 minutes frames are reduced to 3-5 FPS. About 5 minutes video is freeze.
