need help with xbmc youtube mx player error.

Hopefully someone can help me with this error I can't find a solution anywhere. I'm using xbmc on my transformer and it's set to use MX player to play most of the video on it. My only issue is that for all youtube videos mx Player keeps giving me "can't play this video" all other types of videos work fine. Is there a fix that I can apply that will allow mx player to play youtube streams? If not, is there a way I can set in the playercorefactory.xml to use the internal DVDplayer for only youtube streams and mx player for everything else? Is anyone else experiencing the same issue with MX player and youtube streams? Any help would be appreciated

I couldn't view any You Tube videos, so I sideloaded flash onto my transformer. This wasn't too successful, so then I downloaded the new YouTube app which is working fine.
As for your xbmc problem - I don't have the app, just know it is a multi media center/player.

Are you saying that you were able to get mx player to play youtube stream by updating the youtube app ? I'll have to try it and see thanks

Sorry, no. I was able to see video in the YouTube app whereas before I couldn't get any video to play in any browser. I know I had to sideload flash onto my TF101 - so whether it helped may also be a factor.

alright, so i find myself in same boat. Only thing is, I cant play Dailymotion videos which gives me same error using xbmc+mx player combo. have you found any solution?, I tried BS Player, Dice Player and making sure they were the external players by changing playercorefactory.xml file. but still no luck. I also tried switching decoder under mxplayer and all other players to only use hw decoder or sw decoder, but no luck.

[HOW TO] Watch MKV video on Nexus 5 without converting it

Hi everybody!
I read here and in other sites that people use video converter to watch their mkv files because the stock video players (photo and gallery) cannot reproduce the audio track. This is true. But we just need an app to watch these videos.
MX Player gives us the possibility to watch mkv (hd and full hd video). No need to convert it or to install codecs.
When the mkv starts just tap on the note icon on the right corner and select "USE AUDIO S/W DECODER" (something like this, cause I have it in Italian) and you will see and listen your mkv video.
I'm not related to mx player and i don't want to advertise it, but this is the software i use, maybe there are other software that work too.

MX Player can watch almost video file include mkv file. Why we have to convert it.

I wrote this post because i read on a lot of sites, included another thread in xda that users couldn't listen to mkv files. Nobody answered to these people that didn't know mx player is the solution, so that's why i wrote this post

MX Player and MMS Video

Hi All,
I was wondering if there is a way to get MX Player to play MMS video files that are sent over text. I deleted my stock video player, not knowing that MX Player would not recognize or play videos sent over text (MMS). Is there a way to have MX Player play MMS videos?

MX Player should play all video files. Try changing decoder to S/W.
If you can, please upload that file.

HUZZAH! That did it. I turned on S/W and it worked like a champ. Thank you!

MX Player audio track selection

I have seen questions posted for three years about how to select the proper audio track on Android. I have installed the latest MX player version on my Android TV running my SONY, and with identical video files (AVI, MKV, M2TS), or the original M2TS (25+ gig) file from a decrypted BluRay, I still cannot select the soundtrack, but instead get the directors comments. My only solution is to have VLC to run the videos that MX player has problems with.
Is there a solution yet ? A simple drop-down to select the proper audio track ?

Thd audio
Me too I'm playing an HDR video that's playing fine but when trying to play the audio track that's a separate .thd file it's not even showing up in the files which means it doesn't recognise it as an audio track

Audio does not play correctly

I downloaded Summer Olympics Tokyo 2020 Opening Ceremony AAC22.2.mkv from the internet, when I play it on my TV with mx player, it doesn't play sound, same when I play it with VLC, the player can decode and play sound correctly, it's mx player Is this a problem with mx player, I hope it can be solved.

I have the same problem. I guess i is a change in the way of ripping the audio or more exactly the codecs they are using lately, At first it happened in just a few of videos, but week after week they are doing that way in much more that a few movies or tv shows. The worst news is that although the people works and share the codec file did not solve that issue and now either they use other codec to workk with the audios when thry rip the video or have found a different way and it caused us defness. And do not take it wrong, the people that works in the codec we use are doing a hellova work, but the reapers run fast. My advise, download X Video or Playit, wih tthose players you can cue the deafness until a new updated codec arrves to MX.
