That was easy!
It was super easy to flash the new FW.
Thanks!:good:

-download and extract
-start Odin.
-Select "phone" and fetch the modem.bin file.
-Only thing checked should be "Auto Reboot"
-Put phone in download mode
-Plug in USB
-hit Start
Let it reboot and thou shalt have signal

is the bootloader updated as well? hoping the resolve the odd instance where it hangs at boot and wont get past post into loading the rom on ocassion. happens like once every 30-50 reboots. hardely noticable to most. NE1 bootloader.

This is only the modem. If you want to upgrade your bootloader you'll have to flash the fw using odin
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=35037
I'm also using the NE1 bootloader and I've never had any problems

Working great here but having a hard time gauging if its better or worse than NE3 in terms of speed? Comments anyone? Anyways thanks for posting this modem working great here on Galaxy S4 Rogers network MDJ boot loader and NC1 boot loader with rom: Danvdh 4.4.4. 08/30/14 build. Cheers

I'm gonna have to revert back to NE3. I have better speed on NE3.

I don't see any big difference, so I will stay with the latest modem.

Okay, I'm sticking with NI1. It's seems the same as NE3

tried to flash but it fails miserably

Can someone give me the Kernel of this rom ??? Thank youuuuuuuu

Lol, yes sometimes it doesn't stick!
Try flashing once without reboot checked then after it completes reboot back into download mode and re-flash with reboot checked.
If that fails try increasing the first step by a couple of extra flashes.

[Q] Return to stock: how complete can it be?

I have an LG Thrill running P920 rom, last week I was trying some different roms for better T-Mobile compatibility. One of the rom (I think it's official for some Chinese carrier) has changed the startup screen (see below the picture), afterwards no matter what rom that I flash, I simply can't change back the startup screen, which I think should be the ATT "Rethink Possible" logo. Any ideas that I can revert it back?
Thanks,

It seems like a no-go Used three different ways of flashing, including restore via LG Official Tool, the image simply won't go...
I have also inspected all files under /system/media, no trace of the posted image file.
Any more ideas to try?
Thanks,

Thank you! will try when I get some time.
I'm thinking your boot loader what updated.
I would check /data/local or /data/media, i'm quite sure Android checks these locations before /system/app and thats probably why it's sticking even after you flash other roms.

Hi! If u r using Odin for the 1st time, then it's obvious that there has been some mistakes. Flash froyo 2.2.1 (4package firmware)of ur country (Indonesia) coz it contains bootloader. If ur phone becomes fine then u can flash Gingerbread 2.3.6 (Indonesian).
Remember: Use Odin 4.38 & ops file should be named like: Beni_v1.0.ops & install Samsung mobile drivers. Disable kies, antivirus & firewall.
Good luck...!!

We are talking about the S5670 here, right?
How comes you have an encryption option - what rom are you using?
I use cm 10.1.4 and there is no such option.

Stock recovery needed for restoring stock rom?

I found an ATT stock recovery, but I have not been able to find a T-Mobile stock recovery. I am trying to restore to stock using Odin with no luck. It keeps failing. I remember from other devices, you need to restore a stock recovery first to get the restore work properly.

Can you post a screenshot of what ODIN says? You may just have a bad download of the firmware. The full stock firmware contains everything. You should do a full wipe though before flashing in ODIN to get rid of any remnants of fact that your device was rooted. Only thing you can't reset is the Knox counter.

Please help SM-J710F

Hello guy, first of all hello and sorry for my bad english, I hope someone here could help me.
I have a j7 2016 (SM-J710F) After the update to android 7 my touchscreen stopped working, I tried downgrading using ODIN, I tried flashing TWRP but nothing works.
When I try to install stock rom via odin this appears

If i try to start the phone...
I even tried with smart switch but it won't display anything, I think I downloaded at least 5 stock roms, none works.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Is there anything I can do to fix it or I can just throw it?

Note edge being weird.

Hiya peeps. Id just like to ask you experts with a little help.
For the past week my phone suddenly started locking up and freezing and rebooting itself and ive had its for like 2 years. ok its always suffered from a little lag when like typing but i got used to it. I recently wiped its cache but nothing has changed. Its always had issues with the battery with random shut offs at from anything from 30% to even 50+% ive replaced the battery before and i guess its time to replace again.
Main question is my phone just literally just restarted itself now and has come to this screen which i will upload a photo.
I cant remember installing a custom rom since buying it. i did buy it 2nd hand though.
But what does this mean in the photo?.
last night i downloaded marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware because i wanted to see if re firmwaring my phone might later this evening will help in the mean time while i will buy a new battery.
.its been stuck on this screen for like 20 mins already and im scared to turn my phone off

Ok after like 40 mins i did take the risk of taking out the battery as i'd assume my phone wouldn't be doing anything in its state. It rebooted again but still suffering from the issues i mentioned previously.
Im guessing this wouldnt be the last time this will happen and probably will see this screen again in future.
I own a Galaxy Note edge. Unlocked, Bought in england
