Hello , Will current is drawn from the charger by the device, or pushed out of the charger into the device ?
You might be better off posting this question in Android General
The device pulls current as needed but will be capped by the mVA capacity of the Charger.

I have complained about this to Samsung in the past without any significant assistance being offered.
My device is the Galaxy Tablet 2 10.1 and for reasons unknown it will occasionally get itself into a state where it refuses to accept a charge when it is powered down and even after the very delicate connector is carefully cleaned using compressed gas and solvent. Just recently I finally became frustrated enough to hook the thing up to a variable voltage DC supply and document the problem. It was discovered that when the tablet is in this unknown state it will not accept a charging current at the rated 5 volt input of the Samsung charger or any such charger. Current starts to flow at about 6 volts but it is unstable and eventually stops. It is only at a minimum of about 7 volts that the charging current is stable at 400 mA, and the device is fully charged after about 3 to 4 hours. Usually thereafter it will for a while accept a charge from the normal 5 volt unit, but the problem will eventually develop again. It is clear that the device is defective in some strange way and the absence of explanation from Samsung is a black mark against them. I won't be buying any of their products again.
Well that is a very interesting issue. What I can suggest is that you register and ask your question here
there may be some experts that can help you out

hi guys im having trouble for finding a charge that can charge my samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 (not the actual charger just the power cord) is there a phone or another tablet or an ios device that can charge my tablet? PLEASE HELP ASAP :crying::crying::crying:
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. In general any micro usb charger will work for your device. The devices circuitry limits the charging rate so you don't have to worry about a charger putting out too much current. In fact, the opposite is true. You'll want a charger that's capable of putting out as much or more current than your device requires or your charging rate will be slow.

I have an I9500 s4. Rooted with pacman rom [5.0.1]. When i am plugging into an ac charger its very slow and also draining if used while charging. So i used ktweaks to try and enable fast charge and the charging current is 500 amp (and sometimes drops to 300amp). I think the problem is that my AC adapter is being recognised as a usb port. My charger is 2amp and i have used it before and had no such problem [before custom rom]. So is there anyway to increase the charging current.
Screenshot of ktweaker attached.

Hello everyone. I wanted to ask a question concerning charging on a lower voltage. A friend of mine has moved to the USA from Europe. Since the current here is 220V and there it is lower, she uses an adapter. She says that her phone charges quickly, but on the other hand it discharges really fast. I wanted to ask if this is a problem of the adapter, or does the lower current actually can affect the charge/discharge rate. Thank you in advance!
Device?
Hello, I bought a new phone which has a 5V, 2A, 50/60Hz charger, but charger came broken and now I'm charging a phone with original Samsung S5 charger which has 5V, 1.55A, 50/60Hz.
The question is can I broke my phone battery if I charging it with less amperes ? It required 2A, but I charging only with 1.55A ?
