How to check for OS version? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I've got OnePlus One with Cyanogen.
How can I tell which version I've got? if its the CM11s or not?
In the About section I saw: CyanogenMod version 11.0-xnph33r
Thanks in advance.

Thats CM11S.
"XNPH" prefix indicates CM11S.

Flashing a kernel is the same as flashing a rom, if you're doing it via custom recovery. :good:

Install NS Tools from playstore to be able to control the kernel's features.
If the kernel's working out great for you, go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27598370&postcount=1
Then click the "Thanks" button at the lower left corner of the post. :good:

Unfortunately I can't help you with this.
I also had problems a few months back with another sensor (accelerometer) using CM10 so i switched ROMs and never used stock CM10 again. Let's hope someone with the proper solution might be able to help you :good:
Oh by the way, did you do a clean flash? (Wipe everything before flashing the ROM)

I am quite positive it's the ROM. Try this: Flash the ROM again without wiping anything.

Yep it's quite good but there's a new version out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2305485
I'd recommend trying that if your problem still persist after re-flashing CM10.

custom kernel recommendation

I'm looking for a custom kernel for one purpose only and need your recommendation. All I want is an option to change the RGB of the screen to fix the cool temp (bluish cast) on my screen. I prefer a warmer display. I need a kernel that has that option. I want a kernel that is the closes to stock as possible. Thank you!
None are very close to stock...
Use AK kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/orig-development/kernel-ak-t2832168
Synapse app will help you to change the RGB levels.

Oh OK Thx for the info. Haven't been on XDA for awhile now. Damn I feel like a rookie all over again
I'm not sure if you guys are aware, but these kind of 'which ROM/kernel is best/recommended' threads aren't allowed on XDA.

It's been decided recently that best rom and best kernel threads will be allowed however, we will have one large, roll up thread for this topic. Similar idea to the roll up invite thread. Here's the link to the new thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/best-favorite-rom-kernel-roll-thread-t2886021
With that, this thread is closed. Please continue this best kernel discussion in the new thread.

Hi Samijh,
May I know whether you have customs ROM installed?
Please let us know whether you have CM11 44s installed. U can get that info from About phone section.
May I know whether you are using built in camera app (or) different ones from play store?

I'd suggest wiping the device and flashing the 44S fastboot images, that'll give you the latest official firmware.

Hi,
As Timmaaa suggested wipe the device and install CM11 again. You can check the information about **unofficial build** of CM12 in HERE . daleski75 is doing unofficial build for CM12 and he is releasing daily fixes. If you like to stay with CM12 make a post in that thread about this issue. I am sure he will get back to you.
Regards,
Paran.

He needs to identify whether he's actually running daleski's build of CM12 before making a comment in that thread though, there are multiple unofficial builds of CM12 available, not just his.

Anyhow, I googled CM 12-20141214 version and it seemed to be same as daleski75 unofficial previous version. Installed the latest one and now everything seems to work fine!
