All web instructions I have read has the step for using the "flash-all.bat" file found within <adt-bundle>/sdk/platform-tools.
I have adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20140702 which is the latest and I do not have a flash-all.bat file.
I am trying to put the Android L Preview image onto my Nexus 5 phone.
Any help?
Or maybe give me your flash-all.bat file and any supporting files/subdirectories.
Solved!
the folks at AndroidForum.com was able to help me with this question.

Hi,
I'm very unsure where to put this thread as my device has no forum of its own. I have a ViewSonic ViewPad 7 tablet, but I guess this is not even a device specific question, which is why I ended up posting it here.
I have an image of the stock ROM on my tablet (system.img + boot.img), but I'm unable to extract or flash the system.img directly, which is why I need your help. I've been reading some topics regarding this and tried out different methods, but either I am doing something wrong or the image is not complete. It was created using the cat command in the shell.
If any of you should be able to extract the system.img from this zip file I would be forever grateful, as I really need to get my stock ROM back so that I'm able to have Danish locale as well as text messages.
Thank you very much in advance!

I'm trying to root my Nexus 5 using Chainfire's download on my Mac, but the terminal keeps telling me it can't find the files even though the unzipped file is on my desktop. What do I do? What's the problem? Thanks.
Hello,
I would recommend you to follow this thread. : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507905
Read it carefully and start rooting! Good luck!
Hey guys, new member here
I was trying to unroot my phone using a factory image. However, when I downloaded the factory image, it downloaded as a document and not as a zipped file. This means that I only downloaded a document (which when opened showed symbols) and not the other files (flash-all) which are required for a factory image flash. I have looked everywhere and can't find a fix. I would appreciate if anyone could help me out here
Thanks in advance!
Here did you download the image. Is it a .tgz file?

The factory image in .tgz format needs to he extracted in platform-tools folder assuming you're using the SDK (I used WinRAR to do so). Open up Command prompt and CD to platform-tools and type in fastboot flash-all while connected to USB in fastboot mode (you can also try typing just flash-all.sh ) It'll begin writing and you will lose everything.
I did that yesterday and followed this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701
Hope it helps you.

One of the files is a tar.gz. I downloaded on my computer and i unzip it and i got just a tar. file. The problem comes now. I unziped it with 7 zip as i saw in a tutorial to root this phone with low effort root. I can see on 7 zip othe image file but i cant save it. I doesnt let me move it or copy it or do something with it. When i click it again, it just give me another tar file but that one can be saved. Hey guys,
don't blame me, but I like the current ringtones samsung is using in Android 11 and would like to extract them from the Samsung Android 11 firmware.
Can someone tell me how to do that? I just updated to Android 12 so I can't access them on my phone anymore - I will have to download the original Android 11 firmware.
I don't know how to open / extract that file.
Assumed the downloaded ROM is located somewhere on Windows PC and is formatted as ZIP then on Windows PC use Peazip app to open it and extract the ringtones from there.

Instead of extracting you can maybe search on Zedge.
