How to access ringtones without root? - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys,
don't blame me, but I like the current ringtones samsung is using in Android 11 and would like to extract them from the Samsung Android 11 firmware.
Can someone tell me how to do that? I just updated to Android 12 so I can't access them on my phone anymore - I will have to download the original Android 11 firmware.
I don't know how to open / extract that file.

Assumed the downloaded ROM is located somewhere on Windows PC and is formatted as ZIP then on Windows PC use Peazip app to open it and extract the ringtones from there.

Instead of extracting you can maybe search on Zedge.

How to unpack OGD/OI6/OK3 system.img?

Hi,
I'm trying to install a STOCK ROM OGD/OI6 or OK3 in my N920P Note 5, but I don't want root and I want my original rom (to avoid kernel messages while booting), so, I'm trying to unpack system.img to delete some files like handsfree activation, sprint apps, voicemail and other.
I tried sgs2toext4, ext4unpacker and nothing, no working (ext4unpacker shows unknown file format), so, maybe someone can help me to unpack system.img files (I'm using Windows but I can try with Ubuntu or Linux if is possible).
Any guide? tutorial? software? to unpack system.img
Thank you so much

If you don't want root just take the Ota and you will update to the latest firmware.

I've the OTA and Sprint Unlocked Note 5, but to delete handsfree activation (every time I'm connected to WiFi it start to attemp activation), boot animation, sprint zone and other apps I need to be root or unpack the system.img
I've tested with other roms like LG G3 and it works, but Samsung (lollipop) is different, so I'm looking for something to do it
P.S. I'm asking about this because my phone is for international use

That needs either someone with a rooted S22U or available download update packages to extract them from.
Both are probably pretty scarce at the moment, but time will change that I hope
I downloaded firmware from sammobile, is there any tutorial how to extract them?

Don't know if there is a comprehensive tutorial that covers it all
Assuming the packages are the same as for the S21U:
The downloaded packages (I assume .tar.gz) can be easily unpacked, finally giving .img files. These you need to extract using first an SIMG2IMG-Tool and then finally a tool to decode/extract the images.
On my S21U the audios are at /system/media/audio
I found this video in YouTube
There is a link in description box to download both stock ringtones and wallpaper stock
I use a "root explorer" app to navigate to the system audio folder in read only / no root mode. Then i can copy to user storage for use elsewhere.
How i can have sync vibrations patterns from s22ultra to my s9??
It s posibile?????
I do not think so, but you should ask in the S9 forum.

How to extract media from stock OOS?

Hey,
I'm kinda in a limbo where I'd like to enjoy the customizability from a custom ROM, but still enjoy some of the look from the original OOS.
So far without any luck, though. I've tried downloading both OOS 12 and a 13 beta for OnePlus 10, just to grab its data. I can successfully dump whatever is in payload.bin but when I try to look inside the .img-files, I'm just shown either an apex_payload split in two (I assume) in the system .img's. And a classes.dex-file in where I'd normally look in product.img.
If I try to extract (7zip) any of the mentioned, I get a CRC error.
Is there any method that allows me to grab the /media folder from the original stock ROM?
Thanks.
I'm also facing the same issue but if you only need media file I'll upload it
