[Q] Root Android Emulator 4.4.2 - Other Tools & General Discussion

I am unable to push APK and install Google Play Store on the android emulator 4.4.2.
I tried all guides on the web still unsuccessful.
It gives the following error :
failed to copy 'GoogleServicesFramework.apk' to '/system/priv-app': Read-only file system
whereas I have remounted in write mode.
I can push one apk correctly but after that , pushing another apk results in this error.
Also I cant find any working tutorial to root the android emulator.
Please help me out.

[Q] Help getting root access to the file system via application

OK first off new here so thanks in advance for any help. I "have/had" a rooted S3. I copied a new framework-res.apk file that resides in \system\framework. when the phone rebooted it gets to the main launch screen however I cant do anything. error says com.android.phone has stopped and android ui stopped. I have a copy of the original file however I cant get root access to the folder i need to place it in using Android commander. inside android commander it says "root access unavailable" Any Ideas???
im in the process of downloading the stock rom using section 6 of the how to guide however if there is a way to just transfer the file back that would be better than starting over.

[Q] ADB Copy Fails - Help Please!

I am trying to get Chrome to come up in desktop mode permanently on my non-rooted Xperia Tablet Z. Multiple sources tell me that on an un-rooted device I need to use ADB to copy a file containing the line:
chrome --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/22.0.1207.1 Safari/537.1"
to the /data/local directory.
So I dropped that line into a file (called chrome-command-line) on the root of my c: drive and run ADB like so:
c:\Android-SDK\sdk\platform-tools>adb push /chrome-command-line /data/local/chrome-command-line
It immediately fails with the following message:
failed to copy '/chrome-command-line' to '/data/local/chrome-command-line': Permission denied
Any idea how I can perform this ADB copy operation without rooting?
Thanks! (bump)

anyone??? i need answer to this too!!
@maypo @doggmeister
You're getting the Permission Denied error because, very simply, you're not rooted. ADB can't access the /data/local directory without root, and will therefore give an error instead.
I don't know who told you that you can ADB push files to that directory without root, but they are mistaken.

Several guides online mentions it as a way to get permanent desktop mode in chrome on a non-rooted phone. And I just thinks its bloody mindnumbingly stupid why WE as the users can't decide what a browser should identify as....

How to install sqlite3(SQL database) in any android.

I searched over internet but didn't find any of the working method for installing sqlite3, So, i thought to write a tutorial on this.
There are some apps which require sqlite3 to work as for example the famous Xpose module "WhatsappX". So, here we go.
Requirements:- Root access, Xpose framework installed, Titanium Backup, any root explore (Es file explore recommended).
Step1:- Download and install Titanium Backup From Google play.
Step2:- Launch Titanium Backup and then exit the app.
Step3:- Launch Es file explorer and go to "device/data/data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/files/" Now, copy "sqlite3". And go to "device/system/xbin/" Now, Paste "Sqlite3" here.
Step4:- set file permission to "-rwxr-xr-x".
Step5:- just reboot your device. Your sqlite3 is installed now.
*I know there are some apps which can install sqlite3 but for me they don't work at all. I tried this method on Micromax Unite 3, running on lollipop 5.0 and it is working. Hit the thank button if you find this useful.
Thanks buddy, will try and hope it works for me.
Simple install and works perfect. Cherrs.
