Hello,
I recently bought a Spartan Tempered Glass screen protector from xtremeguard and it looks great but now the double tap to start feature doesnt work. Once i turn on the screen though, the sensitivity seems normal and double tapping to zoom in works perfectly fine. I was wondering if there was a way to make the lockscreen more sensitive (I think people were complaining about it being too sensitive when the phone first came out in regard to gestures like turning on the flashlight) or if there is another solution.
thanks a lot!
You can't really increase the sensitivity of the digitizer. You're better off putting your energy into buying a decent screen protector like some Nillkin, I have one of those, it's cheap ($10) but excellent quality.

Hi guys,
I saw several topics relative to screen protectors but I'm a bit lost when it comes to choose a good screen protector that fit my requirements..
Right now, I am using the screen protector (and back protector) delivered with the phone (not talking about the anti-shatter film), but I got recently an impact/scratches on the screen and I'd like to change the screen protector to something at least as good as the original sony screen protector.
I was quite interested in buying a tempered glass screen protector as it is highly resistant to scratches and has usually oleophobic coating, but I heard that it is very fragile and, once applied, the phone can't fit anymore in the sony charging dock (which is really a shame). But I'd like to have a confirmation from you guys regarding this?
Otherwise, can you please give me advice about a great plastic screen protector, easy to apply and efficient against scratches and fingerprints (oleophobic coating if it exists for plastic screen protector)?
I saw suggestions about the XtremeGuard one, is that really worth the price? What I don't like is you need water to install it onto the screen (that's why the HI-DEF one of this manufacturer looks better as you don't need water), also there's no hole for the proximity sensor, I heard that's sometimes a problem?
Thanks in advance for your advices!
I saw somewhere along the way a notice not to use a screen protector as it would interfere with functionality, is this the case or not?
It probably will to some degree. I find the screen touch sensitivity isn't as light & good as the screen on a smartphone (N4, S6E, N5). Putting on a thin layer will likely make it worse.

I purchased a screen protector through amazon and it went on perfect and works perfect. The touch sensitivity is still 100% there and the screen still looks gorgeous!
Here is the one I bought: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015X1VEGO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
I wish the tempered glass protectors were out already but I know how clumsy I am so I purchased these until the tempered ones become available in a week or two.
I haven't received my s2 classic yet but on my old gear s I used a screen protector without any issues at all. Everything works fine and I've had it on for months (still in perfect condition too).
Which screen protector do you use, and which is the best?
I got myself Makibes Toughened Glass and while it does the job well (rounded edges, totally transparent, lots of accessories to clean and put it on screen) i find it a bit grippy. I come from Nexus 4, and compared to that screen this one is not so smooth when running a finger over it (It is smooth compared to some plastic protectors though).
It does not cover proximity sensor or camera. Do protectors never cover that?
Did you find a perfect screen protector? I am thinking of buying a new one that has everything like this one but less grippy
I have a Nillkin 9H and its really smooth, i would say its like the original screen when i run my finger over it i'm totally satisfied. Btw, it covers the frontcam.
I'm also using a Nillkin 9H screen protector, same as rob rich. I also think the feeling is like the original screen in terms of smoothness and feeling. It does cover the front camera as rob rich also said. In my opinion, the screen protector is much more resistant to fingerprints as well. Not saying the original screen is a fingerprint magnet, but fingerprints get more stuck on the original screen than the screen protector.
It don't cover the proximity sensor (which is a good thing imo), because A LOT of times when the proximity sensor is covered by a screen protector, it will behave very strangely. You can google about screen protectors and proximity sensors and you will find a lot of information about it. Why would you even want to cover the proximity sensor anyway?
I got Nillkin 9H.
I like it enough, it is similar as the one i had before, but it is not as smooth as Nexus 4, which is the reason i bought it in the first place.
So my search for a screen protector that does not "grip" continues

i use this 9h glass, probably not from a well-known brand.. works fine though, smooth to the touch
I'm also using the Nilkin 9H+ Screen Protector and it works really good.
Hello.
I'm going to review the screen protector and the case I recently received.
I'd like to say that I'm very happy with it, It's very high quality and is sold for a very affordable price.
Lets start with the screen protector, It's from the company named Mocolo, which is a brand in China, it makes high quality screen protectors that even after falling for many times, stay intact, at least from my experience.
Once you open the package, it looks like this:
In the left side you can find tools to help you apply your new screen protector.
On the right side you'll find your screen protector together with stickers to help you, once again apply your screen protector with no bubbles.
Its fairly easy to apply the screen protector and there's almost a guarantee you'll have no bubbles, It's that easy.
Once you have the screen protector on your screen, you won't feel any change, it feels great and scratch resistant, mine still looks brand new.
Final Verdict - 5/5
Link to purchase, notice you'll be buying 2pcs, keep one for spare because this is the official shop, don't buy somewhere else.

Case review:
The case is made of 2 parts, one is TPU and the other one is Plastic.
It increases the size of the phone and makes the phone 25-30% bulkier and a little heavier, But you get much better protection, feels like "Otterbox" for less then 5$.
The case is actually for Mi4i meaning the IR Is blocked, which is no issue for me but might be for you, If you are planning to use it.
No issues with connections otherwise, everything else looks and works perfectly.
The buttons are a little bit hard to press, you get used to it but its worth mentioning.
You can see in the pictures how the case looks all around:
A key feature this case has is a stand in the back of it, its made of plastic.
Once you use the stand, you can secure it so it doesn't move , its done very easily and feels steady.
You get 2 different views angle, one around 75 degrees and the other one I estimate is 165 degrees.
Both look great as you can see in the picture, I think its an important feature to have.
Attaching pictures of the viewing angles:
Final Verdict - 4/5

Great shop, fast shipment, wide selection of colors and fair price. Recommended!
Thanks for looking, you are welcome to ask questions.
How's the oleophobic coating on this screen protector? Do fingerprints and smudge disappear with ease or can you see the fingerprint/smudge marks very noticeably?
I have a Nillkin Amazing H+ on my Mi4c, but it's not oleophobic at all and the resistance when sliding your finger is unbelievable. I think I got a fake one.
Can you use edge tap in that case?
Hmmm
I don't have the case anymore, I don't think you can use tap edge with it.
Regarding the screen protector it looks great and usually keeps fingerprints away.
I have this case and i'd say that this is not comfortable, especially when you put it in the pocket because of back cover.
I don't know. I like it, I recommend it.
I just got a glass screen protector for my phone, not the same brand as yours.
But the problem I have is that the touch sensitivity has changed with it on. Harder to wake the phone and doesn't register light touches when I use the keyboard etc.
Anyone on here had that kind of problem?
Just get the mocolo one, the cheaper once have this issue but the mocolo doesn't.

I got a new protector that works a lot better. No bad touch or anything.
This is the one I got:

Sliding my finger on the display feels a bit weird and I was wondering whether this might be because of the stock screen protector?
Has anyone remove the screen protector and does it change the tactile and visual quality of the display in any way?
As far as I remember when I was using the default screen protector I had no problem at all. In fact I never had problem in touch response or display quality with any of the different screen protectors I used. I used the original one and 3 or 4 different brands so far.
I just wish add that the factory provided screen "protector" hardly provides any protection. It is extremely thin and even a single grain of sand can cut deep enough to scratch the screen underneath.
Second, there is no difference with or without the protector in terms of display quality or touch.
Third, I currently use a third party protector and am not facing any touch issues.
