How do you pull and create system and boot .img files on a non-rooted xoom?
Why are you wanting to pull and create a stock image when you can just download the stock images from Moto?
stock images are only out for 3g.
Then I think the OP needs to let us know which version of the Xoom he/she has.
They're available here (for wifi):

I got them by flashing a rooted boot.img to the recovery partition, and booting to recovery. Then I could pull the stock boot and system partitions.

Nicely done.
I have a xoom wifi only. Okay how would I flash the rooted boot to my recovery partition?
My samsung GT S6102(galaxy y duos) is rooted and while modifying build.prop , my phone ended up getting into a boot loop. I have a backup of the original build.prop file but am unable to restore it. I am able to enter into recovery mode. Will i be able to install a custom ROM on my phone even though it is getting boot loops? or is there any way to fix the boot loops?

Yes you should be able to install a custom Rom if you have CWM installed and i think you could try to push your Build.prop Backup to your phone using ADB but i dont exactly know how to do that
@OP, if it's rooted then definitely. My HTC Explorer once stuck into boot loop too, I flashed with JaggyRom and it gave me a great experience.
For me, I had to take out the battery and reinsert and then was able to boot into recovery, and from there I flashed it with the custom ROM.
Thank you all
Thank you all who replied, i tried ADB but it was unable to recognize my phone. I am a complete newbie to android but i somehow modified an update.zip file to copy put the build.prop file back to system folder, flashed it in recovery mode and my phone started working again! I am going to be more careful next time, by the way how do i backup and restore using CWM?

Google is your friend.
Possiblw Solution
A possible solution is to flash back to your original Stock and try rooting again. the stock should get you out of boot loops
I accidentally flashed the boot.img onto the phone without transferring CM10 and G-apps over. Now I can't mount in USB mode (CWM issue) and I'm in a bootloop while trying to get back and put them over in USB mode on the normal ROM. Anyone know what to do?
Flash the boot img of your old rom
i didnt back it up, although i have another htc one x phone working identical, is there some way i could just clone one phone to the other to get it up and running.
So you went to recovery and did a wipe after flashing the boot img?
Re flash a recovery in boot loader or ruu I suppose
Hi All,
I installed purity rom on my nexus 5 and now the boot logo is an image of the word "Purity". Is there anyway to install the Google boot logo (the one comes with the stock rom) on my phone?
Thanks.
Replace the bootanimation.zip at /system/media with the one you want.

How can I get the boot logo from the stock image (hammerhead-ktu84p-factory-35ea0277.tgz)? I unzipped it and saw image-hammerhead-ktu84p.zip. I unzipped the image-hammerhead file and saw boot.img, cache.img, recovery.img, system.img and userdata.img.
Guys pls I need your help, is there anyway to restore my phone. Its stuck in boot logo after mistakenly formatting system. I've searched Google and found out that I can flash system.IMG back to my phone using fastboot, but I can't do that cos am scared. There are more IMG files like boot.IMG, user data.IMG and so on my stock ROM zip file. I can no longer boot to edl and cwm is always showing Installation aborted. I use a vivo y913.
Am a new here pls any help???

Flash system.img or whole stock rom in a fastboot mode.
